But we stopped in Weed to gas up and decided to get a quick sandwich. We got one of the daily specials, the Italian with turkey and pastrami to go. They had it warm and ready in about 5 minutes max. the roll was FRESH!! out side was cruchie, the inside was soft and springy. The meats were fresh and tasty. the veggies were fresh and slightly warmed by the warmed meats. the only negative I have to add it that it needed a little salt. We ordered an XL Pizza Half Mountain Half Shastina, the price was outrageous $40 for a pizza that looked like a large, not an extra large. The pizza didn't taste bad, but my husband and I have had better Papa Johns, Papa Murphy's, Pizza Pipeline, Etc... this place just did not cut it, they didn't even make it to my top fav list. We're traveling home after a month on the road and dying for a good pizza. This place caught our attention so we tried it out. The bad: we planned to eat in but the acoustics in their dining area are horrible. We sat down next to a table filled with patrons talking at the top of their lungs and nearly went insane after 2 or 3 minutes. We couldn't yell load enough to talk to each other, (bear in mind we had also been driving for 6 or 7 hours straight so some of our sensitivity may be due to that). I have been coming to the Pizza Factory in Weed many times over the past 15 years. Driving from Anaheim California to Post Falls Idaho this is almost a half way stop. I love it because it is real pizza place. You know when you come in it is the local kiddos running the place. Ya some may not be perfect but who was at 17. Come on. I can say everytime I come in the food was yummy. Tonight's pizza was great crust was perfect and the beer was cold. I will continue to come. And hey maybe joke a little with the staff. This is why you should really read the reviews before giving a business your money. We were met with young adults who were distracted and didn't look as if they wanted to attend us to begin with. There was someone who didn't even work there behind the counter who had a hardcore staring problem. This place makes Little Caesars seem like high quality pizza. The pizza was simply the worst I ever had. It was dead and still took nearly an hour to get the pizza and when it arrived at the table it was pathetic looking. The toppings were all in the center creating a 4 inch crust turning our large pizza into a "medium with extra crust". On top of that the crust may have actually been cardboard. The price was what you would expect with little to no competition - Very High. In my opinion, the bowling ally down the street which reheats frozen pizzas literally has a better product at a better price. Finally to round off the experience, the service was mediocre. Very good pizza. We are on our way to WA. And needed to stop for lunch and a bit of a break. We have a baby so we figured a pizza place would work out well. We took our time ordering as we were getting our daughter situated, this helped because we got to check out food being delivered to other patrons. I got the lunch mini pizza combo with a salad bar and drink. My husband got a Italian sandwich combo. The sandwich was a good solid sandwich, not amazing but solid. The pizza was great, really good. The salad bar, while small, had very fresh veggies and cheese. Lettuce was a basic iceberg with spinach, BUT, the iceberg was fresh not brown and icky. Good pizza in a family atmosphere. Benches, table, video games, a soda fountain and usually a bunch of kids running around. This isn't New York or San Francisco so expect the crust to be a little thick and bread like but flavorful. Good quality toppings and the middle is not raw like most lousy chains. Pizza Factory is a chain of Franchise Pizzeria's located in out of the way places like Weed and Nevada City and Arbuckle, Pollock Pines and Taft. I walked in and the kid behind the counter didnt greet me or say anything. She just stares at me. I order for my kids then ask what toppings I can get on the calzone. She said she didn't know. I asked her where on the menu I can find the topping list. She doesn't know. I order something else. Our pizza comes out and I have to take it back because none of the pieces are cut through. As we are sitting there eating a different kid is having trouble with the cash register. Another kids comes over with pizza dough in his hands helps him and goes back to tossing the dough, without washing his hands. The food was just ok and a bit over priced. Driving through the area and decided to try Pizza Factory out. First off, we asked for a pizza/salad bar combination and as the cashier moved to swipe our card, we see the poster of specials. One special was a large two topping with 2 salad bars and drinks for $1 more. We asked to make it that special since we'd get another salad and the drinks for basically $1 more. She said well then she'd have to refund our order. We said we'll just pay the difference but she said it doesn't work like that plus because we wanted half our pizza only cheese, we couldn't have the special. I said that didn't make sense but she said the computer doesn't allow her to ring up a pizza that way. Then "nice" guy man bun pipes up from the back rudely reinforcing the special cant be made with pizza toppings on only have the pizza. No common sense and rude, immature employees. Arrived late afternoon. The place is a little run down but pizza was decent and service very pleasant. The pizza had adequate toppings but we ordered extra sauce and if we didn't I am not sure any would have been on it! Skip the pasta, I watched the workers pull some frozen noodles out of the freezer, this some sauce on top and bake it. Edible but not great. The garlic bread that was served with it was a hit. This was nice stop for pizza, but it wasn't our favorite. Everything seemed a bit pricey, and the specials are not posted in an easy to see location. We were very confused as to the "ordering procedure" when we came in. They had a stack of take out menus on a table, but no one said anything to us. We figured out we were just supposed to go up to the counter and yell for someone when we saw someone else come in and do it. this review is about the last time I went in January 2016. so I order a medium pizza for my boyfriend and I, and pasta. the pizza itself is already super expensive. the pasta I ordered was the chicken fettuccini or whatever. they were out of chicken LOL, but I still got charged for a full load of pasta. I paid full price for noodles with half way decent sauce, and the associate didn't seem willing to give a discount. I paid a total of 30$ for a medium pizza and the pasta. that was super disappointing and the customer service shocked me. I myself work as a customer service rep and know that damaged and/or unsatisfactory products can be given a discount, so idk why that doesn't apply to food. and I know for a fact the girls here give their friends discounts sooooooooooooo cool? On a road trip and decided to stop by for some pizza. We walked in upon opening and the cashier gave us a snarky response after asking if ordering happened at the register or table. She then proceeded to be flat in affect and clearly did not want to be at work today. We sat down to wait and she begins to complain to another worker about people walking in when the "open" signs are not turned on. The door was open, signs posted an 11am opening and we walked in at 11:05am. We didn't even realize there was open/closed signs. We'd understand things just getting started but the complaining on her end was not needed. Maybe arriving a little earlier to her shift would help open up on time and alleviate her frustration. The restaurant was clean, cool arcade area and plenty of seating. We got the lunch special for 6.99 and boneless buffalo wings. No complaints on the food. Driving through Weed, CA to grab some souvenirs for family. Heading North so we wanted to grab food before we ran out of options. The bathroom needs a professional cleaning service. The female and (Asian?) kid were extremely rude. She was unpersonable and seemed annoyed that she had to do her job. Perhaps hire her to clean and get someone with some personality. The reoccurring theme I see with restaurants like this is the quality of the ingredients being very low. Their product could be much better if they used ingredients that aren't frozen or canned. Pretty mediocre. Would not come here again. Also, they added onions to my "build your own" calzone, so I took off .5 of a star for that. Just took off another .5 cause I am sitting here in the restaurant and had to remember that I just ate here. However, I give this place 2 stars for the staff, who were great and all deserve raises. I ordered a large pizza off the menu and a second pizza with 7 toppings. They charged $2.50 a topping for a large. When I got home 2 toppings were missing (bacon and garlic). I did not return because everyone was hungry and I do not live in Weed. This was not the first time this has happened. Another time the garlic was left off. I contacted them through their website "contact us". I have not heard back and it's been a week. They obviously do not care about their customers. Why have contact us on their website if they just ignore it. Maybe they should take lessons from Dominoes "we will make it right"! Great hand tossed pizza!! Thankful they were open the Friday after Thanksgiving. Walked in at 1:54 for lunch buffet that ended at 2:00, waited in line and got to cashier at 1:58. They no longer honored the lunch buffet. They were out of O2 so no soda and the tea dispenser was just water. Female employee in prep area played with her hair the entire time we were there and personal conversations were loud and disruptive. Establishment dirty; seats, floors and salad bar area. I was spending one night in Weed CA staying at a hotel 5 minutes away. By the time I checked in it was cold and dark. I was bummed out to learn that the only pizza place in town didn't deliver. Oh well . I placed my order by phone and drove to pick up my pie. The place is large and welcoming, but almost completely deserted with more employees than customers. I got there fast and my pizza was ready to go. Good. Then when I got home I realized that that the Garden Fresh plus one extra topping I'd ordered was missing the tomatoes that are supposed to come on the Garden Fresh. Frustrating!
