We've been to Pizza Gram many times, but had not since Covid struck. While out shopping I suggested we stop there for dinner. They opened at 4:00 and we weren't the first to be there. We were seated and drinks came out quickly. We both decided to have the Chicken Parmigiana. Dinner came with a salad and bread. My all time favorite place to have Chicken Parmigiana is here and I wasn't disappointed. So many restaurants have changed since Covid, but Pizza Gram didn't fall one bit. Her recommendation of the bruschetta was spot on and as an Italian raised by an Italian mother the sauce was . The Italian sub I got as well was delicious and the homemade bread was divine. Let me start off by saying that we used to love this place. The food and service were typically top notch, but our recent trip was mostly a terrible experience...almost from the moment we walked in until the time that we left. We had to wait to be greeted as the hostess staff stood around talking to one another. Within 2 minutes of being served our salads, one of the hostess staff asked if we were done. We were mid chew I said we were not done. A short while later, we were again asked if we were done. My child was chewing, had the fork in his hand with salad on it. I needed to say that he wasn't done. About a minute later, our entrees were served. Again, with him chewing and his fork in hand, the hostess asked if he was done. I let her know she could take the salad away. As my son was having his 3rd bite of pasta (chicken untouched) and I was having a sip of my drink (pasta untouched and maybe 2 bites of chicken eaten), the hostess asked if we were full yet. I indicated we weren't. She then asked if we wanted to go containers. I let her know we were going to eat some of our meals. We each took a couple bites of our food as we caught up on our day. The hostess came over again to ask if we were done and wanted to go containers. I again said we didn't need them right now. My child finished his small pasta bowl (chicken still untouched). The hostess came over to take the bowl away and yes, again asked if we were full and wanted to go containers. I let her know that we were still eating our dinners. About 1-2 minutes later, our waitress brought over to go containers. I don't think she was aware of how many times the hostess asked already, but as we were still eating, I really don't understand why we were given containers at that time. As the waitress walked away, the hostess came back over to ask if we were done yet. At that moment, I put my fork down and packed up 75% of my dinner. I waited a little bit while my child took 1 more bite of chicken and then I packed up 90% of his chicken. It was beyond clear that we weren't going to get to eat our meals. When my child went to use the restroom, the hostess came over and asked if we were done here. I let her know that we might have dessert. I mean, we barely ate and we were trying to celebrate some school & work accomplishments. A minute later, the hostess returned again (my child was still in the bathroom) to ask if we were all set. I again said that we might have dessert and that I'd ask my child when he returned from the bathroom. She asked if she could take our drinks away. I let her know that we'd like to keep them for the time being....since we might be staying for dessert. They were both about 1/2 full. When my child returned from the bathroom I asked if he wanted dessert or if he'd prefer we get ice cream on the way home. He wanted to find out what desserts there were before deciding if we'd stay or not. The hostess came over and asked again if we were all set and if she could clear the table and take our drinks. I told her no. The waitress told us what the dessert options were and my child made his choice. When she went to get the chocolate cake, the hostess again asked if we were done. I let her know we were having dessert. She asked if she could take our drinks away. I again told her we were going to keep them....still nearly 1/2 full. We each had a bite of the cake before the hostess came over to the table to ask how the cake was and if we were all done. I let her know that we were going to eat the cake. "Do you still need your drinks?" I let her know again that we'd like to keep our drinks. Shortly thereafter I asked the waitress for the check, paid it and we left. As we walked to the car, my child told me that he had gotten sick when he used the bathroom. While I felt badly for him, I didn't think all too much of it since we both (barely) ate the same thing and I was fine at the time. About 4-5 minutes into the drive, I needed to make an urgent stop at McDonald's for both of us to get sick in the bathroom. We were both violently ill into the middle of the night. ***PLEASE NOTE *** - The dining room was not full. - There were empty tables almost the entire time we were there. - A nearby table was seated prior to us arriving to the restaurant and was still there as we were leaving. - That table nor any other nearby was continuously bothered by the hostess. - I / we have never been treated so poorly and rushed so much at any establishment. - We were so sick from the food that neither of us could properly function the next day. It was truly a horrendous experience. I reached out to management, but they didn't respond. With the terrible customer service and the food that made us sick for days, no way we are going back. read more

Today I had a placed ahead order for garbage breads, the owner personally came out to let me know there was an error and it was just not to the quality he serves to his customers. I never typically leave reviews for bars; however, Pizza Gram far exceeded my expectations. I went here with the recommendation of a friend. Having been a local all my life, I didn't even think this place served alcohol let alone have a full functioning bar. The atmosphere and drinks were par for the course. The beer selection good (local beers included); however, what set this place apart was the bar tender Anne. She mad everyone feel like part of a place "where everyone knows your name." I can not remember a time in recent history that I have seen a more personable bar tender. I look forward to visiting again. read more

Ordered takeout the other day. Had a coupon for pizza and 20 wings for $30. They said 20 minutes until pick up but we still had a short wait once arriving. Typically it would have been fine but since we have to wear masks and social distance it is hard to wait for food. The food was good though! Pizza was good and I loved the crust. The wings were good. We had the hot and they were the perfect amount of spicy for me, however the chicken was a but rubbery. The interior of the building is very dated and the free Wi-fi does not work, which is a bummer. Interesting decor- feels like An Adirondack cabin! Clean and neat. We had reservations for a large party-13. Service was efficient. The French onion soup is a staple and it was hot had excellent flavor and just the right balance between onions and cheese and broth. We ordered the large meat lovers Sicilian style which was a hearty rectangular pie! $20. Loved it! Decent draft beer selection. They have some high end entrees $25 for veal Oscar. I have never written a review before, but after my extremely unprofessional encounter, I felt I had to write a review. Pizza Gram and its staff are unprofessional. They curse in front of customers and treat their customers as if they aren't important. When arriving to pick up an order that was supposed to be curb-side pick up and directed to call upon arrival, their phone was off the hook, so I had to go inside. Upon entering the establishment, I saw that the phone was off the hook so they wouldn't have to answer it. After finally getting up to the counter to pick up my order that should have been ready 13 minutes prior, they told me I had to wait an additional 25 minutes because "they had a lot of calls," which was unacceptable, considering there were countless employees just standing around. It had been two hours since then so I called the restaurant. I told the guy on the phone what happened and he rudely interrupted me saying that it wasn't their fault and that the driver screwed up. I told him that it doesn't matter who screwed up and that I just want my food. He told me that there was absolutely nothing that he could do and that I need to call the delivery service. I thought twice about submitting a review, then when I saw another female customer had entirely the SAME experience on the SAME day, I decided to go ahead. Maybe once or twice a year, we'll head to Pizzagram for the Weds night deal. Bread, salad, pasta your choice of Chicken/Eggplant/Haddock parmesan, $8.95. The food is consistent and generous, but here's why you shouldn't eat at the bar, and what keeps us away for six months at a time. The service at the bar has been terrible every time we've been. A note to the young staffers on this particular occasion.: As you strut back and forth along the bar, unable to quell your overtly loud, profane, boring, personal conversations between each other, or frequent stops to chow down on your boyfriend's meal (who, by the way, is getting far better attention than us), after shoveling in heaping forks of ziti, and jamming hunks of bread into your mouth, several fingers deep, and then not even washing your hands before serving other customers who've been waiting, (isn't that a health code violation?), could you PLEASE just scan the bar and make sure no customer has been neglected, deliberately or otherwise? Main gripes: Terrible service. No welcome/acknowledgment. Bar wasn't full at 5.30- had two (female) bartenders. My boyfriend arrived 5 mins earlier, already had a beer. Both bartenders passed me by several times, over several minutes, before he flagged one down. They were focused only on locals. And talking to each other. Bread,no butter, took ages to get their attention. No S&P, none offered, and we couldn't be bothered to ask for another thing at this point. Bartender stuffed her face while we and others needed service. Finished our meal, waited, had to ask for boxes to pack our own leftovers. Waited some more, had to ask if we could have another beer. Waited to pay bill. Fries omitted with a takeout order for kid at home. Weren't charged, but specifically ordered them. How is it that I've been living in Guilderland for 13 years and NEVER been to PGP? My family and I met my relatives (who were visiting from Atlanta) at Pizza Gram Plus for an early dinner on a Tuesday night. There's ample parking -- driving by, you'd think there's just the side parking lot, but it extends and bends around the back of the building(s) as well. The building behind the main restaurant is their 'take-out' building (and also a sports bar, I think). The words "Take Out" are printed right on the awning. My relatives arrived before we did, and secured a table right near the entrance. A friendly server seated us, gave us a few minutes, and then took our order. We went with pizzas and some appetizers (though the menu seemed pretty extensive). As always, the children are unbelievably picky when it comes to pizza, but we've got their orders down to a science -- one personal cheese for kid #1, and then a small white (with black olives on half) for the other two. The four adults ordered two larges, one with sausage and peppers, and the other with pepperoni and mushrooms. The pizzas arrived after about 10 minutes, and were pretty large. The servings of appetizers were also generous. The kids all had refills on their chocolate milks and apple juice. There was certainly more than enough food for everyone. I was quite impressed with the quality of the pizza. The crust was good. The toppings were tasty. And we were able to take lots home, and have meals for the next couple of days! To put the cherry on top, my relatives picked up the tab. The prices, from what I remember seeing on the menu, are pretty much in line with what you'd expect at a place like this, maybe a little higher. At any rate, even though it took 13 years to take the plunge at PGP, we've got a new pizza place in the rotation. They deliver, too, which is always a plus. read more

Tried Pizza Gram Plus for the first time this past Wednesday and it was jam packed at 5:30. I learned that it was parm night, hence the crowds. We ordered an 8 cut pizza with pepperoni and green peppers and it was pretty good. It was definitely a grease bomb, though, so I could only eat a couple of slices. I also think $2 per topping is a little steep, especially since the pizza wasn't chock full of said toppings (and they are some of the most basic toppings there are). The service was pretty fast considering how busy it was. I might try them again on a more laid back evening. read more

Ok, let me start by saying that I love the pizza here, and my boyfriend and I have had a couple nice dinners sitting at the bar. HOWEVER. The last two times I've tried to call for takeout, I have ended up canceling my order due to the rudeness of the person on the phone and what is either his scamming or their totally insane pricing policies. For instance, about 5 minutes ago, I got off the phone with him (after canceling my order). I had tried to order a 12-cut, 1-topping pizza, an order of wings, and a philly steak wrap. Per their website, this order comes to about $29.49. When I asked the guy on the phone for a total, he seemed a little annoyed to have to figure it for me and then quoted me a total of $49 and change. FORTY-NINE DOLLARS +. I said, "whoa... wait a minute... can you run through that pricing for me?" We came to an understanding that the pizza was roughly $15, but when I asked him to clarify the prices of the other two items (9.99 and 6.75 per the menu), he sighed and said, "I'll punch it in again, but our menu prices have changed and it's gonna come out the same. [pause for calculating] 49 dollars." (So not only did he not answer my question, but somehow 10 wings and a wrap now cost $34.) This is the second very bad experience I've had trying to order takeout. A large part of me would like to drive over there right now to ask for clarification on their pricing, but despite their delicious pizza and very nice bartender, I don't particularly feel like patronizing them at this point. read more
