Went to this store everyone was nice but I got home bit into my pizza and there was a dirty perfectly cut nail clipping in my pizza. Absolutely disgusting they gave me a refund but obviously someone was cutting their nails by the pizza or they bit their nail off and spit it into my pizza. I have never left a yelp review before in my life but the horrible experience here compelled me to do so. I've been a good piiza guys customer in the past in fremont and san jose. we just moved here in modesto just a few weeks ago. pizza guys have been leaving coupons on our door almost daily and today we decided to use it. we ordered online and thankfully we did not yet pay. we did not bring our coupon when we picked up and the guy at the register harrassed us about it wanting us to go back home to grab it so we can present it to him. he could have just given us one lying around on the table but no... he wants us to get the coupon back home. other pizza places would just give us a coupon because why wouldn't they? the intention of the coupon is for people to buy and we already did, we were just picking it up... the cashier was even smug about the while thing and gave as a mocking "have a good one" when we decided to just leave. for a pizza place like this one to treat customers like shit is just unacceptable. maybe the guy is on a power trip, but worst is if the company instructs their employees to act like assholes. their pizza is just mid and they treat customers like trash. they have lost my business for life. read more

Passing through Modesto with a very hungry family and we stopped here. I ordered a large cheese pizza to go (only offering no sit down). Pizza came out very tasty and good even my picky son enjoyed his slices! Service was friendly and efficient. Parking was very easy in front of restaurant and we pretty much Inhaled it in the car before trekking back to the city. Recommend you give them a try and now I know a spot in the area. read more

Im giving this place 5 stars even though one order I had was pretty bad. I like consistency and service. And this place has it. My second time here and every time I walk in, I'm greeted by every pizza guy associate, front, cooks, delivery. Pretty cool place to be. It's not the cheapest compared to Pizza Hut near the area, but the quality of the ingredients and the bread is a lot better. The only down side was the chicken wings I ordered. The size wasn't worth the deal. I got like 3 pinky size wings and 2 normal size. For $.30 a wing it wasn't worth it. The pizza came out great as always, but I'll definitely not order sides unless it's consistent in wing size.. I recommend this place to anyone if you're in the hatch/crows landing area. I've always heard of pizza guys and I've never tried them . Saw the high reviews so I decided to try them it was delicious. I ordered through Eat24/yelp which caused a couple of kinks so I do recommend just checking the menu and calling it in . Service was friendly and prompt delivery guy was cool and polite. 5 stars and I'll be back! Came back again got the great check in offer of a free ice cream and a free 2liter for picking up! Extremely rude customer service. I usually come here every couple of weeks, no issues. There is one person that singles me out and asks for my ID when I pay with my Visa card. Keep in mind, only one person at this particular location asks for ID. No one else hassles me for it, so today I come in and try to pay and I'm I'm Immediately asked to show my ID, I find it ridiculous that I'm asked for ID to pay for a pizza, especially when this same person acknowledged he already has previously asked me for my ID. This person has singled me out for some reason, he then proceeds to tell me "there are many options out there, why don't you go somewhere else?" So let me get this straight, it's really hard to understand why anyone would object to want to show someone ID when you make a small purchase? Also started to berate me and hold my pizza hostage LOL "you want your card back you can go somewhere else" he said this after he looked at my ID, like wtf? I then forgot to get the soda and I tell him and he tells me that he told me I could get it myself and there is a sign on the door, in the rudest way possible. Once I go to leave with the food he then proceeds to tell me my phone number in some ominous way. Low key threat here? Last thing I want to say is, it's actually visa/MasterCard policy that you do not ask someone for their ID when someone uses a card for purchase. But seems it's just a way to mess with their customers. But like I said only one person at this store constantly asks me for ID. Bottom line, it's unreasonable to ask a regular customer for their ID every time they come here, especially when the same cashier acknowledged that he has checked my ID In the past, it's pretty reasonable to assume for some reason this person has singled me out as someone to mess with. Last night while placing an order, I was hassled quite a bit regarding a coupon I had for a 'Large Speciality pizza for $15.99'. The young lady taking the order didn't tell me what the total was and when I asked (assuming after I had already been charged), I was placed on a long hold and then a gentleman answered asking if I had a question. I again said I was waiting for my total and he advised me they do not have a coupon for a large speciality of $15.99, he has one for $17.99 and that was what they could do. I told him I was specifically looking at the coupon and gave him the offer code, at which point he advised me that was online only. I told him the coupon did not state 'online only' and in looking at the backside of the flyer, there was one that said 'online only' but it wasn't for a large speciality pizza. After a lot of pushback and going back and forth (including he could cancel the order I had already been charged for and I could order online to save the $2), he agreed to cancel that order and honor the $15.99 coupon. I've been ordering from Pizza Guys (with coupons) for quite some time now and while I will continue to do so because the food is delicious, I don't appreciate the hassle and hope staff and management will be made aware of what their current offers and deals are so there is no further inconvenience to other customers ordering. If it was an error on the part of the ad company, it should be addressed with them. Okay so I usually love this place, but today that was not the case. Ordered once and received the wrong pizza and no soda. I call back and they say they will remake the pizza and bring the soda as well. Second pizza gets delivered (doesn't follow directions to text me when dropped off) so it was possibly sitting for sometime and still no soda!! Pretty frustrating since I was waiting almost 2 hours to eat and I didn't even receive everything I paid for. Yes they said they will bring the soda back but is there a point? There is check in coupon on yelp but it is also printed on there door, so if you spend more than $18 you get a free soda or ice cream, but it has to be $18 they seem pretty stern on that rule. So normally pizza delivery isn't the greatest where we live but this place was great. Our pizza was yummy and hot when it arrived. Our soda and salad were both cold. The delivery lady arrives at 3:10 PM with a medium pizza, hot wings, and soda. I had to show her my order confirmation before she r she delivered the wrong order. It was 3:30 PM and she had not returned so I called the store. Our order was accidentally delivered to someone else so it had to be remade. I was surprised when I received a voicemail today at 6:18 PM from Pizza Guys staff, Alex, apologizing about the service I received. I returned the call as requested and was pleasantly surprised. The delivery girl was new and she was trying to cover up her mistake. She didn't tell anyone about the wrong order and tried to correct it herself. It was not the kind of behavior Pizza Guys condone from their staff and unfortunately some damage was done by the time they caught it. In addition to an apology and explanation, Alex delivered a complementary copy of my order to the house today. I was able to experience the true Pizza Guys' pizza; quality, service, and community. MY favorite place for pizza by far in the entirety of my life. I always order for a good deal at pizza guys and the staff know me as well since I order frequently and my menu favorite. I always order an extra Large thick crust with two toppings that are cup and crisp pepperoni and extra cheese. The crust is always cooked well and never doughy. The pepperoni is always throughout cooked and still crispy only those with skill could accomplish such a feat. Very great pizza overall and I dont recall ever being let down by pizza guys and especially the restaurant located on crows landing road in particular. Great place. read more

Place an order of 16 wings and a large pepperoni through yelp and got a notification saying it will deliver in 35-55 mins, but had to call the store once i waited a little after an hour. One of the employee says they will try to make the order as soon as possible because they had miss or misplace the order and give a soda as a complimentary. Five stars straight up! I got their oven roasted chicken wings and their artichoke pizza. The wings are the best wings I've ever had from any pizzeria I have frequented. (btw I'm from Manhattan/NJ metro area) They were so tender and marinated lovingly. The artichoke pizza woi! I am a carnivore but I will tell you that I can turn into a vegetarian today from the pizza alone. I could eat this everyday. The dough was homemade and delectable. We ordered this pizza last week, and let me start by saying it's pretty tasty Mmmm. The crust is great and not to doughy, or thick. The toppings seemed fresh and they didn't skimp. The delivery driver brought our pizza nice and hot and it didn't take forever to arrive. I gave them 4 stars for some pretty good pizza, and there customer service was excellent, but I would give them 2 stars for price.
