This place prepares tasty, fresh pizzas and does them quickly. We usually pick up, so I can't comment on the delivery service. They are willing to accommodate our tastes by fixing a large pizza which is half vegetarian and half meat, which I appreciate. I like their crust (not too thin or too chewy). The sauce, to my palate, needs salt, but that's easy to add. The prices are very reasonable. read more

Usually I stick to Round Table but this week I had been going out a lot so wasn't trying to get raped for a medium pizza just for myself. After going through the coupons in the mail I found Pizza Guys and came here to check the reviews. I love ordering online so when I saw this I was immediately excited, plus there's tons of coupons! I also love how you can order double toppings, whatever sauce you like including low fat, and even extra sauce! I was going to order the medium 2 topping with (2) 20oz sodas for $11.99 but wanted the free ice cream ($12 min), even if you add additional toppings it doesn't qualify so I went with the medium 4 toppings (pepperoni, italian sausage -not sliced which is fab, red onions, and roasted garlic w red sauce and thick crust) for $13.99. I was a little disappointed that it was $3 fee for delivery in WC but if I lived in Concord its free. Plus you add a tip at the end of your order which was strange but made the transaction quick. It said 40min for delivery and it only took 30! The pizza was excellent, perfect smaller pieces and at first I thought they didn't get the thick crust request but realized its not the edge of the pizza they consider thick its the actual base of the pizza...and I love it!! I read complaints of a too thick crust and that's actually what I was looking for so to each his own! I would give it four stars were it for free delivery in my area! Pizza guys is possibly the best pizza you can get for the money. Get the XL combination with the works and pay $25 for some great pizza that comes with a 2liter drink. What sets these guys apart from every other pizza joint is their sauce. It's delectable....can I really use that? This is the place to go for some good grubbing. Nevermind, calories, or special preparation. I get this pizza for parties or buds just ready to eat!! The restaraunt itself is catered more towards take out, so forget about bringing the family or a date. They do however, have 2 maybe 3 tables lol. Unfortunately, I decided last night to get pizza from this establishment. This is what I got for $21+. A lukewarm pizza with only enough sauce to color the tasteless dough red under a scant amount of cheese, topped with a couple tablespoons of black olives and a sparce amount of micro-sliced mushrooms. The chicken wings had obviously been microwaved to take off the chill and the ranch dressing was warm. The only thing these guys could not screw up was the ice cream--("free" when you pick up this slop yourself) I picked the order exactly 15 minutes after ordering. However, they no longer publish a phone number on their website, and they make no accommodation for a one-time order on the internet only order site. So I called someone else. This is a 1 star review for both grubhub and pizza guys, because both of them screwed up and did nothing to fix their mistakes. I ordered an XL pizza from pizza guys via grub hub. I clearly typed in my correct address. Somewhere along the line, either pizza guys or grub hub messed up my address. The pizza was sent to a location 6 minutes away from my house. After the driver called my house, we cleared up where the pizza was supposed to be delivered to, and it should've taken no more than 10 minutes from that point to arrive. There should not have been any issues after this. It took another 25 minutes for my cold and soggy pizza to arrive. I contacted grubhub regarding this whole situation. They called me promptly, informing me that since my money was now in the hands of pizza guys, they couldn't refund me. This makes no sense. I do not need my original electronically transferred 0's and 1's. I see no reason for them to not refund my transaction, as there was clearly an issue with the order. However, they informed me that they chatted with a manager at pizza guys. This is where it gets good. The pizza guys manager graciously informed the grubhub guy that since my pizza made it to my house in just under an hour (when my house is only a 15 minute drive away...) that there was no reason to refund my purchase. However, grubhub dude told me that I could contact pizza guys to claim a 50% off coupon for my next order with them. Who in their right mind would want to spend another dollar with these jerks? They could've at least saved themselves a 1 star yelp review by doing the right thing instead of taking my money in exchange for late, cold, soggy pizza. By the way, this is the first yelp review I've ever written. If there was any doubt about how displeased I am, let that fact make it clear. Neither pizza guys, nor grubhub, will ever see my business ever again. I only hope that I can dissuade any poor fool from using either of these services. read more

They sent us a pizza with half ingredients missing and the half that were there were overcooked .When I called to complain they asked if I could send a picture which I did right away ! After finding some coupons hanging on our door one day (and being unimpressed with just about every other delivery place in the area), we decided to give Pizza Guys a try. We ordered a big pizza and some cheesy garlic bread. The cheesy garlic bread was pretty good, but the pizza was just ok. There was just nothing special or memorable about any of it. We'd maybe order it again if a good coupon was out, but Domino's seems to overall run better specials (and we actually think Domino's has better pizza.. how sad is that?). On a random note, does nobody else find it weird that it wants you to put the tip on your credit card when you're placing the order online.. and not when you actually RECEIVE your pizza? How am I to judge the quality of the service and delivery before I've even officially placed the order? The receipt you have to sign doesn't even give you a spot for a tip (unlike EVERY other pizza place I've ever ordered from). I went to put the pizza down and bring the delivery guy a couple of bucks, but I guess he assumed I wasn't going to tip him anything (since it wasn't already on the receipt) and just bolted. I DID ORDER ONLINE, but STILL I was not able to process this order, as I received an error code that said "Minimun purchase for this order is $12.00." My order was $16.01 TOTAL you fkn IDIOTS!!! I called the Walnut Creek location and the girl who answered was a rude bitch, and totally tried to play a switch and bait with me by saying "we dont handle online ordering, but we do have a deal for 2 large pizzas for $20." I was actually polite and said I did not want that deal, but wanted the one that was advertised per the coupon. I then asked to speak to a manager and he was like "we dont deliver $12 pizzas." I told him my order totaled $16.01, and started to get irritated. I said "so this is false advertisement and I should take a screen shot on my computer of my order total and submit it in a civil court along with my coupon and sue your asses for false advertisement, AND write a bad Yelp review"???? He didnt seem to give a shit so here is their SHITTY review. I've never even had thier pizza, but I will NEVER try it and will always talk shit about this place!!! I love this place. Excellent,  friendly service and delicious pizzas.  Great location with lots of parking. I usually get their California garlic chicken, or combo. Love their garlic sauce. They always have coupons which is great. Sometimes I order online,  it arrives quickly and hot. Oh try the spicy wings too. I get free ice cream or 2liter soda when I pick up my order.  Bottom line: Go there and experience it yourself.  This a great pizza place in Walnut creek. Highly recommend this place! read more

Great pizza, great price, speedy delivery. Their grilled chicken is excellent added to any pizza. The longest wait I've had for delivery in 3 years was 55 minutes on a 45 minute guarantee, and that's only because the driver went to the wrong house (my house instead of my friend's down the street). Friendly, professional staff. Perfect proportion of sauce-topping-cheese. Their specialty pizzas are awesome, although we stick to the two large two toppings for $24 deal (used to be $22). Pizza guys is the best for your everyday pizza place. It's not a fancy pizza place where you get a medium pizza for 20+ bucks. For you weekend pizza run this is the place to go! I've always been a roundtable guy for everyday pizza until I tried pizza guys and now I will never go back. Pizza guys have fresher items they use on their pizzas. My wife and I just picked up a large pizza for $23.99. This was by far the worst pizza we have ever had. The crust was like leather, the cheese was very sparce and so was the sauce. In order to make it edible we had to add jarred pizza sauce from our pantry. We will never go back and we think they will be out of business in Walnut Creek, CA within 6 months or less. read more

I just wanted to submit a 'shout out' to Pizza Guys. Earlier in the year I hosted a large class so I did a price comparison of local pizza places. I was looking at cost with how much pizza you got. Pizza Guys was the most cost effective so I tried them for the 1st time. Happy with their pizza and delivery, I used them twice more last week (7/9 and 7/11) for two more classes. Both times the pizza delivery was exactly on time and the pizza was pipping hot. The delivery man was extremely friendly as well. Pizza Guys is definitely my go-to for feeding large groups on a budget. Also, their garlic sauce (with mushrooms and artichokes) is sinful! read more

beware on delivery times - they lie! i just had a horrible experience with pizza guys. i ordered pizza and because i was pressed for time, i asked how long it would take. they said forty five minutes. After that amount of time passed, I called and they said it would arrive shortly. About ten minutes later, I called again and informed them I needed to cancel because I needed to leave. She said he would be there in three minutes. After three minutes passed, I called to cancel. The delivery man arrived after an hour and ten minutes as I was walking out the door and then insisted I take the pizza - apparently he didn't notice i was rushing out. It seems that when they are busy, they give faulty estimates that then ruin the timing for those ordering. never again. read more
