Met here with a group of friends where all but one of us enjoyed Pizza Bowls - all the fixings of choice served in aluminum pie pans without the crust. They were delicious and super cheesy and came to the table piping hot. One in our party ordered chicken wings in BBQ sauce and asked for all flats. The server brought her all drumettes, so she had to send them back and wait for a new order to arrive while the rest of us ate our bowls. When they arrived, she said they were good. Our appetizer of cheesy bread was the best! No holding back on the cheese, and for us cheese lovers -- we couldn't have been happier. At the start of our meal, only a few other diners were present, but by the time we left, the place was hopping. Pizza Hoss also features several local beers and a variety of soft drinks as well. We ordered a meat pizza and garlic knots with marinara sauce. The pizza crust was supposed to be a regular hand tossed. The pizza crust was very, very thin. The meat toppings and cheese were skimpy to say the least. In fact, the pizza seemed dry because of the skimpy toppings. the garlic knots were just ok and the marinara sauce had a strange taste. The leftovers went into the trash. I am not sure what took us so long to try it again but we decided tonight was the night to give this location a shot. The Kitchen Sink and a Sweet N Spicy were on the menu for us and they didn't disapoint. The food and service at both locations have been outstanding in our experience. The NY style pizza crust was not cooked all the way through. Great service but bad food.

We stopped in before our kickball game. The restaurant has a good set up with TVs and pretty spacious. Mackenzie was bartending/serving. She was great! She was sweet, attentive, knowledgeable on the menu. Our pizza and drinks were great. We will definitely be back to try some other great things on the menu. read more

Watch some football games at the tall tables (one super large TV still needed) with a really nice outdoor covered patio on the less hot days! Salad was nicely and neatly prepared, all the ingredients were perfect, the presentation was nice, and she could mix it up herself. Garlic knots were gigantic .... and yummy for the tummy. Even the marinated sauce was heated! Wow! Pizza was thick with an excellent favor, good sauce! Cheesy bread had a terrific flavor with the specifically chosen garlic parmesan crust that added to the taste! Pizza was woefully undercooked, fresh ingredients tasted completely raw. Cheese was only covering the center leaving the outer 2" ring of the pie uncovered. An older woman asked us about our food and I explained how the pizza was not fully cooked. She told me it was my fault and that I should have requested extra time in the oven when I ordered? WTF. This was my family's first visit to Pizza Hoss. Seating was good, and the dining/bar side had an open floor for wheelchair access (if we had brought our oldest child but she was in school). The staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, there is no child menu but tget are able to adapt making "chicken and fries" per our youngest's request. There is music playing with TVs on various channels. The food was pretty good too. We ordered the garlic knots and a large The Big Show pizza. The knots were pretty delicious, especially in the pool of garlic and butter (bottom of the basket). The pizza was also really good too (we requested white sauce as a preference). Read a good review so we made the trip to give it a try. Walked in, sat down, and waited. There were several people seemingly intent on a computer display near the entrance to the kitchen. We waited. Must have been 15 mins later the bartender finally walked out and proceeded to serve patrons that arrived after us. Took about 5 more mins before we got served. I had the privilege to eat here tonight. I was greeted by Erika at the bar. She is very sharp & aware. She has a great attitude. I had the barbacoa tacos & chips with cheese dip. Welp, this place was a total disappointment. Have been to the Clinton Hwy location on numerous occasions and the service, although a bit slow, was consistent and informative. We arrived at the Oak Ridge Hwy location and the crew was "shorthanded", which we were reminded of the entirety of our experience. It can be understandable to be shorthanded and slow, but at least let the customers know. The food was good, not great, but the service defined the experience for me. We were at this restaurant for 1 hour and 15 min and the only thing we ordered was Mac & Cheese, 2 salads (small) and garlic knots. The Mac & Cheese is pre-prepared and just needs to be run through the oven, the salads were, well just salads. The Manager came by our table and asked if there was anything she could do, we asked to check on the garlic knots, after about 10 min we finally got an answer, "our" garlic knots sat in the window too long and became cold, butter seized up so she was having hot ones made - that took another 20 min after her intervention. 5 stars on 9 reviews, I am not sure just exactly how no one else has had an experience like this. I tried this place out for the first time yesterday. It was a surprise to me how good it was. I took my young "picky eaters" with me so I can't say I tried some out of this world pizza with unique toppings. No, we had an XL pepperoni and some garlic knots. First the garlic knots... They were good. I've had better, but these were good. They were chewy, hot, and drenched with melted garlic butter. We ordered the regular size and it was plenty enough for the four of us. Now the pizza... The pizza shocked me. I was expecting a run of the mill pizza joint experience. I was wrong. The crust had a great flavor. It was soft but had a nice crunch. The sauce was great. The toppings were adequate, and the cheese was stringy. We did upgrade to the "cheese blanket" which added extra cheese and a garlic bath to the top of the pie. It was worth the extra couple of bucks. In closing, I believe Arnold said it best, "I'll be back." I'll. E leaving the kids at home so I can enjoy the plethora of beer they have on tap. read more

My first order at Pizza Hoss Karns. I used the online ordering system for pick up. Ordered a 20" cheese pizza, said should be ready around 5:58. I arrived at 5:55, the bar tender said the pizza is in the oven and should be right out. Approximately 30 seconds later a person brings out the pizza and I take it home, which is about 4-5 minutes away. I get home, put the box on the table, and the family grabs a slice, we were all surprised that the pizza was ice cold, crust was hard, and had practically no sauce. It was like the pizza was sitting for a long time. We microwaved the slices and it tasted like old re heated pizza from the night before. we tossed the pizza and made sandwiches. We are one and done with Pizza Hoss, very disappointing, it was the worst pizza we ever had, a waste of $19 + tax. read more

We ordered the el pastor tacos and the carnitas. Both were absolutely disgusting and very disappointing. The meat was cold and the tortilla was cold... I ordered lime rice as the side and it was cold too and plain... I will never eat their tacos ever again. They really should just stick to making pizzas. We've always had great food at Pizza Hoss, but the service has usually left something to be desired. Last night (Saturday 3/13/21) was the worst. We arrived around 6pm to a full restaurant, all tables occupied, and a sign at the front that said, "Please seat yourself". How are you asking people to seat themselves with a full restaurant? We had a party of 5, ready to be seated, but we saw two six-top tables with only one person at one of the tables and only two at the other. They were apparently holding the tables for the rest of their party to arrive. This is frustrating because most well-run restaurants require the whole party be present to be seated specifically to avoid these situations. Management must have been ok with this because they sat there at the tables while we waited for at least 10 more minutes. We're finally seated some time later -- at a 4-top. Yes, the other two six-tops still have just one and two people, respectively. We put in our drink orders; I ordered a dunkel from Alliance, which is a very dark German beer. I don't know what I was given but it was a hoppy red beer, not the dunkel. From that point, we waited 22 minutes for someone to take our order or even ask if our drinks were ok. We spotted our server bringing food out to a large party (she made two trips) and running a card payment on the kiosk. Frustratingly, the couple two tables over were given loads of attention by their server -- the manager even sat down and talked with them, despite having a full restaurant, a line of people waiting to be seated, and servers getting pulled off their tables to expo, work the bar, and bring food to others. We left cash on the table for the beers. I don't blame the server -- it's management's fault. Stefano's was great, as usual. Not sure why we didn't go there first. read more

Very disappointed in the service tonight. Party of six split 3 and 3. Our neighbors got their pizza and we waited. And waited, and waited. They finished eating and we still didn't have our food. Love the food but the service was horrible tonight. Hate giving a bad review to a small local business but we come here often and they can do better. No service recovery or discount on the bill either. Didn't want a "freebie" but a discount would have been very appropriate considering how long we've been here. Update: Well, as we were leaving, they brought us two new pizzas and a calzone in boxes, which was what we ordered originally. We didn't want/need three more orders of what we just ate that was cold. The waitress asked if we wanted the manager To come over and speak with us. The manager should've already been out speaking with us and not put the waitress in that position in the first place.
