A fantastic little joint in an old strip mall. The setting is that of a slightly grungy hangout that is full of charm and authenticity. It feels like a kind of place the ninja turtles would hangout at and eat pizza. The service was quick and knowledgeable on the menu. I spent $80 for my family a take out one weekend and one of my sandwiches I ordered was a Reuben .... Well, go to pick it all up and he handed me a pizza box and said "yeah you ordered a Reuben" I was like "yeah? A Sandwich??" Then proceeds to act like it was MY fault??? I have NEVER heard of a Reuben pizza.... Very cool, sure, but not what I ordered. Then rolls his eyes and said "So you want me to make the sandwich?" UM YES wtf. Meh. Tried the meat lovers and the chicken royal pizza. The zatar? Bread, a hamburger, cheese fries and a cookie. We didn't hate the pizzas but a lot flatter than I was expecting seeing some of the images. The hamburger was one of the prepackaged kind. Probably frozen. The thinness and taste make me believe that. The cheese fries was weird. It wasn't fries imo. Thinly sliced potatoes and mozzarella cheese over it. No batter or anything. Cookie was fine. But not worth 2 dollars. Pizzas were okay. Overly priced. Idk if people in the area know what good pizza is. When you grow up in Chicago area or New York. You know what's good. The zatar? Bread sounded interesting. But it was a cracker with the spread they described. What a waste. I thought it would be close to a pita bread or soft. Not some hard to chew cracker type bread. It pains me a bit to post this review. A friend of mine said Harby's has the best pizza in Ktown and I really wanted it to be true. I drove from West Knoxville to try it (25 min drive or so) when my favorite place in town is only a 5 minute drive from the house. But the best in town? I'll drive for that! This place appears to be a staple in this part of town and, while I don't wish them any harm, it's just not a 4 star experience, as Yelp currently indicates. My review has everything to do with the pizza. Let's me clarify that. Nonetheless, some of you like details of things other than the food. They are located in an older retail plaza with less than ideal parking. There aren't a lot of spaces and those that are there are quite narrow. There are other lots in the area, but I'm not sure if parking there would result in getting towed. I opted for a pepperoni pizza. Every pizza place should be able to nail that, right? My wife ordered a burger and fries. My stepson opted for chicken fingers. My wife was reasonably pleased with her meal. To be fair, though, McDonald's, Burger King and Wendy's are top of mind for her when she wants a burger. (Hardly picky). My stepson didn't like his chicken, but he IS a picky eater. I tried his chicken and it was actually pretty good. Now for the pizza. This is the reason we dined here and it came HIGHLY recommended. I ate more than I threw out. It wasn't horrible, but I won't be coming back. The worst part of this is that the guys working were really nice. I really appreciate local places of business and really wanted this place to be all I heard it was. I'm sure some reviewers enjoy trashing places. I'm not one of those. However, I often rely on Yelp to weigh my dining options and simply can't condone a 4 star review for this place. It could have been worse, but it could have been a lot better, too. read more

Pepperoni Pizza was what i ordered from Harby's during my most recent trip over there. as a kid i grew up eating Harby's as a specialty, it wasn't something that we could always afford. now that im much older i figured i would give it a try, i remembered their pizza being thin crust and cooked really well. boy, was i let down. i love to give restaurants a chance, food is my calling and my passion, so i always am gracious to food spots. but service and cleanliness are two things i never overlook. when i arrived, the service wasn't amazing but it wasn't terrible either. no inside eating, so only two fellas behind the counter. i order one large pepperoni pie and await for it to be finished cooking. i'll be damned if right when its almost done, one of the young men working comes over to me and says they didn't make a large, they made me two small pies. okay, more is better no big deal. i'm not shitting you when i tell you this was seriously conveyor belt pizza. no effort, no art, no homemade sauce; nothing. i couldn't taste not a bit of effort, truly disappointing. i ate my pizzas, and enjoyed them since i purchased them already. but what a waste. i hate sitting here writing this, feeling actual regret from eating here sheerly for the fact that now i have to inform people about my experience. sad. read more

Just ordered 6 piece wings, a Greek salad, and a 10inch Bell pepper&onion pizza. Fast friendly service! Very fair price. The Buffalo wings were good. I just prefer mine a little crisper. Next time I will ask if that is possible. Good flavor though. The small Greek salad was huge. I was impressed. Very good balance in the salad and fresh. Only negative is I got the oil&vinegar dressing, and it was a little weak. The pizza, the star of the show, was fantastic! The food and ingredients here are absolutely breathtaking. When you walk in you place your order, right now they're only taking to-go orders so you can order and wait in your car. The food is phenomenal. My wife and I both got small pizzas and the amount of cheese and toppings dwarfs that of the chain pizzerias in the area. We have been here before and it was amazing, this time not so much. The dough seemed old or frozen, the sauce was inedible. We also got fried pickles and the breading was like they were going to bread chicken tenders with thick breading but put it on the fried pickles instead. I can honestly say they were the worst fried pickles I've even eaten. I know their a pizza place, but maybe don't have items on the menu if they are going to be that bad. I don't know what these other reviewers are talking about other than they are those miserable Yelp reviewers that South Park makes fun of. This pizza IS the best damn pizza in Knoxville. FOR REAL. Also the burgers are great but the sandwiches, especially the wedgey, is mind blowingly good. All the desserts are baked by the owner's mom and you can tell she makes them with love. This little deli is located off Broadway. It is in a shopping center that has a vintage record store and other hippie-like stores. As you get out of your car the aroma of incense will fill your nose. We walked into this little deli where several people in line were waiting to place their order. We looked around and the decor was a collaboration of everything the owners had acquired over the years. We ordered the Large Veggie Lover's Pizza (Black Olives, Green Olives, Green Peppers, Bell Peppers,Tomato, Onion, Mushrooms, and Jalapenos), and the Small Greek Salad. It took about 15-20 minutes for the pizza and about 5-10 minutes for the Greek Salad to be prepared. I don't think that is too long at all. Very reasonable timing. The Greek Salad was huge for a small but quite good. This place is a deli so expect plastic utensils. The pizza itself was okay but not the best pizza I have ever had. If I lived closer to this place I would probably go there all the time. It has that neighborhood restaurant feel to it. The other vibe I got was that this is a good place to go on a Saturday. The place you would take your friends and family after a soccer or football game, that's Harby's. I am sure everyone would enjoy it. It is a larger place than it seems with two different seating areas, one is more focused on kids and the other is for everyone else. Overall my experience was good and I would go back. We ordered the 8 topping medium pizza , $12, and zata bread as a appetizer. Got 2 drinks and it was still just $20. The pizza was top notch with a good crisp crust. Ingredients tasted fresh and the sauce was just right. When I ordered the zata bread , I didn't know what it was but it was good. It's basically thin bread with a bunch of spices. Short version: KNOXVILLE TREASURE. This is without a doubt our favorite pizza in town. I don't know what kind of deliciousness goes into that crust, but it is luxurious. There is absolutely no skimping on the toppings. I would even go so far as to say that the WEDGEY, the sandwich that is their specialty, may be the best sandwich in Knoxville.
