This is a wonderful pizza restaurant, my work orders from here frequently. The first time, I was so busy, I told another colleague to order for me..I got a chipati which is a dough filled sandwich and it was huge. Sometimes bigger isnt always better, but this sandwich has a great ratio. I'm never disappointed by the amazing pizza and have had it multiple times at work with many varieties of toppings. I need to make a visit to the restaurant or carryout as I don't live in the delivery area. It is popular and it rightly deserves it. read more

We ordered two personal pizzas: one spinach/mushroom/Alfredo, one bbq chicken. My advice to you is if you're going to do a personal pizza, don't get thin crust. I had heard of this place but never made it here. A few friends decided to meet up and chose this as the spot. At first I was concerned about the parking since it was downtown but no worries. The parking structure was a half a block away. I had the veggie personal pizza and it hit the spot. It was a good pizza with just the right toppings and not too much dough. Rating on food: Consistently okay Rating on service: Delivery prompt! Ambiance: Well appointed dining rooms. Can be loud and echo-ey with students present. Obviously a student hangout at night. Value: Terrible, with "hidden" charges on Delivery: A 4.9 percent service fee on total order ( really an inflationary increase to their already overpriced menu). Then of course 6 percent sales tax. Add a $7.25 delivery fee. So one of their $25 (!) salads, delivered, comes to : Food $25, Mandatory Fees $9, Sales Tax $2, 20% tip to driver $7. Enjoy your $ 43 salad. Supposed direct costs: $3 food ingredients; $ 3 kitchen labor; $2 driver wages ( they used to pay $4 an hour to drivers; no reimbursement for their use of driver's personal car). The most absolutely over priced crappy food place I've eaten at in years if not ever. The "Jumbo" chicken wings should be called The Anorexic Chicken wings. They were the the skinniest wings I ever saw and the most expensive wings I've EVER paid for. When I mentioned it to the supposed "manager" all he said was "yea I can't afford to eat here". What that had to do with what I was saying I'm still trying to figure out. The pizza was overpriced and nothing special. Actually it kinda sucked. The tap beer was kinda warm too. Party of three got a Sicilian-style (square) large house special pizza on a garlic butter crust, fried ravioli appetizer, and a strawberry blonde beer. Fried raviolis were delicious and came accompanied with zesty marinara sauce. The pizza was delicious, but the garlic butter added very little to it. Topped with sesame seeds but not bursting with garlic flavor (just a small hint here and there between bites), it was extremely subtle, almost too subtle. Service was great! I like when the servers tell you their names because it makes it more personable. Ours was Zach, and he checked up on us a lot and was able to get a special order in for us. Total bill for three came out to $55 before tax and tip. Mind you, we deliberately over-ordered so that we could have leftovers and could've easily fed a fourth person with the amount that we had (excluding a teenage boy). I can see why my brother and sister-in-law like this place when they lived in AA and now make the drive out from Canton and brave the parking. That is the one downside of this place: as it's close to campus, the parking is a pain here and I could see how it can be even worse on weekdays. read more

We had a large Spicy Mediteranean Sicilian. Other than the fact thst it was piping hot, it had no redeeming qualities. The crust was soggy/gooey weighed down by the sauce and cheese and had no flavor. Jets pizza has way better crust than this Sicilian. Only topping was banana peppers. Since moving out to AA for school, this has been a huge hotspot for my friends and I to go eat. The atmosphere is great and the place definitely gives me tavern-like vibes. The menu has a wide variety of meals for everyone to try and the servers are so on top of it. Pizza house is iconic and their pizza is delicious. Outrageously overpriced for the horrible cold food. Family of 4 and bill was over $130! Didn't order this but saw a grilled cheese sandwich for $18! Six slice small pepperoni pizza was $22! This place loves the University of Michigan, and the University of Michigan loves this place. I got to try several flavors of pizzas here, and think that that, their salads, and drink options lead to a solid offering a tasty, delightful pizza just steps away from the UM and Ross campus. The pizza style itself is thick, hearty, appetizing. The ambiance reminds me somewhat of RoundTable PIzza way back from childhood - a sort of bar with booths that you order from, and people come together and watch sports. Will I come back? My guess is, if I am lucky enough to end up at the University of Michigan, that will be an emphatic "yes", whether or not I want it to be. But I do, I really do. read more

Being back in my natural habitat of Ann Arbor is a great thing. Pizza House was one of my go-to's when I was in college. Located off of South U, Pizza House is a two-story restaurant that specializes in...you guessed it, pizza. Especially Chicago-style deep dish. Even with all of the space, expect to find a line on the weekends and after football games. On my visit, service was friendly just a tad bit slow. I had a personal cheese pizza on traditional crust. Not the best pizza I've ever had but does the job. I like how the cheese stretches and is gooey as you take a bite. They deliver until 4 PM so it's a good spot for the late night munchies, albeit more expensive than other pizza joints in the area. Pizza House is an Ann Arbor institution and a popular spot for UM sports programs. The only thing that really ticked me off? A sweet tea is $3.25. Are we serious Pizza House? $3.25 for a mediocre iced tea. You're better off buying a beer if you're going to pay that much for a tea. read more

I remember the many, many times I ordered pizza house for late night. The quality of the pizzas were never bad, and the variety of sauces is always nice. I've also tried the boneless chicken in teriyaki and buffalo sauces. They can be a little salty and drenched in sauce, but you can always ask to put the sauces on the side. The shakes are also great. My personal favorite is mint chocolate, but for those who don't like mint, there's plenty of other flavors. This is the worst value for the money I have paid for in a long time...we stopped here with friends before a hockey game. The service was great but the quality in food was lacking and extremely overpriced for the product. I think they feel they can get away with it because the Chipati's are a novelty. They are basically a salad inside of a pita and will run you at least $18. Who would pay $18 for a single salad at a family restaurant? The pizza was good but also not the best I've had...also ordered a pizza pocket that ran $21, had pepperoni, olives and mushrooms in it. I could have gotten the same product at my local pizza joint for $8 and it would have been bigger and tastier. Today, I had a very bad experience online with Pizza House. I am home from a procedure sick, I ordered a personal deep dish pizza for dinner. My 4 toppings were not reflected from my online order.. What I received was a nasty hunk of doe with a lot of sauce no ingridents with part of the pizza missing cheese. Half was doe and sauce only. Called the restaurant they would not help me with a reorder. The manager said too bad nothing he could do. "We cannot help you lady" The charge was very high. That part is fine if my pizza had Ingridents, I ordered. I had to toss the nasty goo mess. Tonight without dinner and out of my money. Will never order from this establishment again. I had been a customer. So I would have credited the account for new delivery fee and to resend the orde, To keep my customer& to fix the online fiasco. The pizza here was sooo good. Came in with a few friends at night and we're glad we chose this place. We had nice seating on the upper floor. The decor is warm and clean. We ordered two medium 2 topping pizzas and their fries. We even requested the fries to have Cajun seasoning and the cooks were more than happy to do that for us. The food came out not too quick and not too long. The pizzas tasted fresh and flavorful. Yummm. Their prices are a bit on the higher side but nonetheless it was worth it. Through work, we order delivery from Pizza House on a pretty consistent basis for meetings and training events. They have been reliable enough that we have given them an "unofficial official" internal stamp of approval. I don't mention this arbitrarily - it is important that our food service vendors maintain a reliably satisfactory performance because our events touch many individuals and departments spread across many locations, and even high levels of leadership. One unsatisfactory experience at the right event is enough to get a place more or less "banned" in our internal log, and it IS logged when that happens. That being said, Pizza House is a local staple that we utilize often. They're either doing a great job, or a pretty good job consistently. Now, in my area, we haven't done too much directly with Pizza House (only once or twice before) but given the aforementioned context I decided to get some food brought in for a team planning meeting including one VIP. One key advantage over competitors would be their large menu, which features a wide variety of food types and options that can accommodate many tastes and needs in one go, one order. I wasn't incredibly impressed when the food arrived late, but when it did show up it wasn't so late that this became a deal-breaker. We had to interrupt the meeting for food distribution, but it was still pretty early in the meeting and so it didn't cause much of a problem. And, in fact, the food proved to be good as it always has been before. Notably enjoyable food items at the meeting included Taco Salad, Chopped Spinach Salad, and the Georgia Reuben. On the flipside, there was one notable failure in the form of the Manicotti (reportedly a container with some cheeses, presumably a little pasta, and a whole lake of oil). Overall, I'd say the food was a hit, minus the Manicotti. The delivery arriving late wasn't ideal but it wasn't terribly late, something we can chalk up to extraneous circumstances (for example, traffic). The consensus is that we will be utilizing Pizza House again in the future. (Outside of the work context, my partner has rave reviews for the food here - it is a favorite splurge location for her and her friends, but I can only report that second-hand as a supplement to my delivery review.) read more

We were seated promptly and our drink order was taken. My husband ordered the 4-cheese garlic bread. It was insanely delicious! I ordered a chicken ranch Chipati, hubby ordered the hickory BBQ burger, 1 kid's Mac n Cheese w/garlic bread and another kid's burger sliders w/steak fries. The Chipati was packed full and very delicious. I didn't know what it was so it was interesting to see basically a chicken salad stuffed in a thin pita clamshell. The hickory BBQ burger was quite tasty. The sliders were a bit dry but edible. The kid's Mac n Cheese tasted like Stouffer's but was also good. The waitress was a bit slow to check-in for drink refills considering they weren't busy at all but overall it was fine. We will return. read more

Large establishment with really good service ...the digital menus . The food here is perfectly prepared ...The calizone is huge so if you order it be prepared to get a to go box as well. While the speciality is pizza the wings and burger were pretty good too (according to members in my party). It's late, you are hungry. Pizza House is open. That works for me. With my husband's work hours anything open late is happy. I sampled a Michigan cherry chipati, a salad stuffed into a big pita basically. Tasty but way overpriced. I do love a dried cherry, walnut and gorgonzola combination. It hit my taste buds well. James had a calzone. He actually wanted a Chicago stuffed but did not want to wait for it so he is saving it for another time. The calzone was decent and stuffed pretty full of three cheeses, pepperoni, ham and salami. Neither of us were blown away but we liked it well enough. We will be back to try again. read more
