I am going to give it three stars...the Pizza deserves five stars and the customer service deserves no stars. This is as unbiased as it gets. I have grown up in the area and while i was growing up i had Pizza House at least once a week for 5+ years. Their pizza is fabulous, some of the best that i have ever had. I don't live in the area anymore but was around the area of Pizza House during a weekend and decided to pop in and get a large pepporoni pizza. The pizza was delicious as always but the customer service that i received was some of the worst that i have ever received in my life. I am not one to get mad but the way i was treated by one of their employees who was the manager on duty really angered me. I was angered to the point that i would feel uncomfortable going back to a place that i somewhat grew up at. As great as their pizza is, i am not going to be treated that way. Cardboard with toppings would have been better. Most cheap frozen from the store would have been better. Ordered half dozen wings. These were all bone and no meat. On fact several of these were twisted in to shapes that didnt resemble a wing. All breading a nd fat no meat. Most places i have ever had wings at have more meat on one wing than they had on 6 f the wings from this place. Have no idea how anyone gives this place more that one star!!!! read more

The pizza is flavorful, but if you're counting on someone to get your order right, go somewhere else. I ordered a deep dish pizza, paid over $20 and received a thin crust. Besides the fact that the woman taking the order didn't listen....I clearly said deep dish.... I had to call back a second time for the total which included a $2.00 delivery charge. Just moved here from Chicago we wanted Pizza. We found Pizza House. We get a menu from the counter person and decide to go with "Daily Special" that are good ALL DAY LONG. We order a #12 slice of pizza & drink. We are told that is only good until 2 pm. I showed him the menu he gave us and says those are new menus and that is a printing error. (Huh?! why is the stack of menus there/or #12 crossed off?) Then we order a pizza bread and directly below it states any extra ingredient .50 so we ask them to add sausage. We were told no sausage or beef can be added to the pizza bread. (Why isn't that specified?) If you want great customer service and good food this is NOT THE PLACE TO EAT! read more

Pizza House is like a gift from God. EVERYTHING is as good as it gets. The pizza is out of this world good, and there is nowhere else that even compares. As some of the previous reviews suggest, the staff can be a little on the indifferent side, but as long as the food they are serving remains as good as it has been for the past 15+ years, I don't have a problem that. I love the thin crust with onion, and hot oil peppers. If you enjoy a kick, you have to try the hot oil peppers. If this place ever goes out of business, I will honestly shed a tear. I've frequented Pizza House for about a decade, and I have to say it's hands down my favorite pizza place in the northern 'burbs. I have never had a negative experience here. The double decker and deep dish pizzas are outstanding. I'm also quite partial to the Italian beef and Italian sausage sandwiches. My topping choices are usually pretty vanilla (sausage, pepperoni, tomato) but Pizza House offers varieties to satisfy more exotic tastes as well. The wait can be a tad long if dining in, and the seating area is tiny, but the staff is always super friendly, and the prices are very reasonable, especially the lunch specials. Don't go in expecting a typical sit-down dining experience. It's really more of a take out place that has squeezed in a couple of tables. That being said, it's a great local joint that serves up great pies. read more

Employee asked if I had ever had their Italian Beef because they are kind of famous for it. Glad I did! Almost too juicy to hold with the "dipping sauce" on there. I have to say this the worst pizza I have ever had. Also a round pizza was cut into small squares and very hard to eat. Bathroom a disaster. The whole place needs a good scrubbing!! They are beyond teenager snobs because the woman who is always there is in her 50's. They are by far the rudest nastiest people I have ever came across ordering pizza, and other reviewers agree. Poorest service ever! I have never been belittled or spoken to in such a disrespectful manner by a kid working in the food industry. I thought I had my own eyes but obviously this business has workers and a business owner that see's it all knows it all without actually seeing it. I mean I have lived in the area all my life therefore I think I would know what's the difference when ordering a dry beef and I would also know what to expect when I get to the destination of where I am going to eat it. This is for sure the best pizza place in the area. It reminds me of a local pizza joint that used to be in my home town, Pat's pizza (sad it closed). The double decker pizza that is our favorite to order. I also quite like their thin crust, nice and crispy and well seasoned. We have only gotten take out, but everyone there has been very friendly in my experience. Was looking for a different place in the area to get pizza. Thought we'd give it a try since it had dine-in. We got there and things were looking good when we saw the stuffed pizza waiting at the counter. We ordered two small thin crust pizzas, a side of mozzarella sticks, and two sodas. Had to get up from the table and walk to the counter each time to pick up the drinks, mozzarella sticks, and the pizzas. And the long wait for two small pizzas on a Wednesday night seemed a bit much. The pizza was not impressive in the least. The crust was like an unsalted cracker. I finished mine because I was too hungry to care at the time. We took most of the other one home, and it didn't reheat all that well. I wasn't about to waste any since it came to the amazing price of $31. I think that hurt the most. A frozen store-brand pizza is more satisfying. Maybe we should have gotten a stuffed pizza. I'd give it a try, but I wouldn't spend my own money on it at this point. read more

Be warned that if you order an extra topping on only half of the pizza they will charge you the same price as if there was extra topping on the whole pizza. They do not take 1/2 off the topping price like other pizza places. I think this is cheating the customer. I shouldn't have to pay full price when I only want meat or topping on half the pizza! Also, as others have said, their attitude is not the most friendly, especially if you have a $2.00 off coupon that comes in the Zion paper. They act as if you are committing a crime when you present it. Their pizza is pricey too. We haven't ordered from there in a long time, ever since we found out about the topping price.
