I made the decision to ignore bad reviews of this Pizza Hut location (cause it's 0.2 miles from my house) and that was probably a mistake. I don't quite know how but they messed up my pretty simple large stuffed crust pizza but they did. Must have been a super thin base of dough or something cause it was impossible to pick up a slice without everything just sliding off, and when I looked at the bottom of the pizza it was actually orange with grease and totally disintegrated. Box stayed together, but the pizza crust might as well have been cardboard; there might have been a thin swash of sauce and maybe 1/4 cup of cheese. We always call in before showing up just to make sure we get our order in correctly. We don't ever do anything else much more than pizza and some cheesesticks. This is the closest location to us even though we are right next door to a local pizza shop. But when Pizza Hut has a special we cannot by pass it. Never a wait and always prompt service. They do well in my eyes but might be worth calling in your order first. read more

Our pizza was 15 mins late. My friend called and asked what was going on. The answer was "I don't know the delivery guy isn't even back" OK... It's just 15 minutes. She spoke to me in the most condescending tone like she was 2nd grade teacher and I was 7 and said "I'm sorry. What is that?" I received my order and had one item I completely enjoyed, delicious, although the other two items weren't up to par, I give this store a greater rating because within 24 hours of sending feedback, I was immediately emailed and compensated with in store credit for the items, which I GREATLY appreciated. I called in for delivery a whole back and was pleasantly surprised by how friendly everyone was. There are no shortage of pizza places in Austin and sometimes I just want the same kind of pizza I grew up with. I called and it had been a while since I ordered from Pizza Hut so I asked a lot of questions. The lady on the phone was knowledgable and was not rushed or annoyed. After just getting the best pizza I've ever had, I had to write a review for it, and well, this isn't it!! But thinking of that one made me think of the last few times I dealt with this Pizza Hut, and how I'll NEVER deal with them again! I always get delivery (and I think they are only a delivery/take-out Hut anyways). They always take a long time. The pizza is always crappy. Or they forget part of the order. I even once got the mama mia $5 special and none of the pizzas had enough cheese (and by enough I mean you could see sauce but not cheese). Upon calling them I argued with a manager about how much cheese goes on a pizza. One excuse was "well, they are the $5 pizzas" WAIT WHAT? So that gives it a right to be crappy? That's still 5 of my dollars that I'm willing to spend on a decent pizza, I'm not expecting greatness here! A friend of mine actually took the pizzas back to exchange them for some better ones. Pizza, etc. was good. Unhappy how the transaction was handled. I misread the deal on Pizza Hut's website and called in an order (rather than placing it online) and asked for the same price. I was told the deal was not available for a call-in / carry-out order. I was frustrated but placed the order anyway. When I got to the location for pickup, the order had been cancelled and not cooked. I then placed the order again in-person and asked for the deal for 2 medium carry-outs and no deal was available. I definitely was aggravated at this point and paid far too much for the order but needed to get home (wife is recovering from Surgery). In South Austin my fav is Pizza Hut on Brodie south of William Cannon. My second choice is Manchaca close to Lamar. The worst and the one for my area is William Cannon at Manchaca. Ordered wings for the Beyonce HBO event tonight #HotSauceSwag. I've had the Pizza Hut wings before. My mom turned me on to them a few weeks ago. Tried to order them online but for some reason it wouldn't let me place my order so I had to call. After guessing which store was closest I waited about 45 minutes to almost an hour before they arrived. They were still warm. Not so hot that I couldn't just grab a few and toss the evidence into the dishwasher before my guests arrived. But just perfect for putting a few on a saucer to gobble down without leaving damning evidence of me beginning my drinking well before the 7pm Bey start. I only got the wings. And they were not only perfectly warmed but also moist, juicy and not too spicy. Personally, I would have lined more spice. But being that I was having guests I appreciated that the spice wasn't overbearing. Unlike most chicken wings that you get from pizza delivery places, these were crispy on the outside with a nice coating of sauce on the outside. I ordered blue cheese with them. Was surprised that they only came with one single serving canister for 18 wings though. Also, the blue cheese is very sub par. Its more like a tangy ranch and missing the distinctive chunks of blue cheese that you find at Buffalo Wild Wings. Even though they are better than most wings coming from pizza places I don't know if I would order them again for the price (18 for about $23). I came and picked up my carry out order today, 2-1-2019 at around 7:30 PM. When I walked in, I saw a few employees talking near the pizza ovens and another employee off to the right side working on something. I saw this young lady stop what she was doing and look over at the people talking. She then decided to take it upon herself to stop doing what she was working on and come and help me out at the register. She greeted me with a nice big bright smile and asked how she could help me. After it was established why I was there, she then asked me how my day was and made some comforting small talk while the payment transaction was going through. Once everything was finished and she showed me my order to insure that it was completed and correct, she then told me to have a nice day. I believe this young lady's name was Erica. Pizza Hut you failed me. I was sick and been taking medication that made me super drowsy making it impossible for me to drive. It was later because I slept the whole day because of said medication. So in my hope sought out Pizza Hut! I looked online for the most recent closest Pizza Hut and unfortunately they were closed! So I found the nearest one which was this one and requested a delivery. They told me that they couldn't deliver to me because " they would get sued by the other Pizza Hut" so I said ok let me call them to see if I can get some food tonight. It's only 4.4 miles. So I talked to the other Pizza Hut and they said that they could definitely deliver me a pizza and that he was just being dramatic. So I called up the other pizza place and said " they are cool for you to deliver to me" he responded with a new excuse " I can't deliver to you your to far because my drivers won't get paid" I told him" look ill pay the driver more than normal" which would have been most likely 25 dollar tip (side note I used to be a pizza driver back 2 years ago and I know that if a customer was willing to pay 25+ on top of the amount. Then I would be out there so fast and I know my boss wouldn't have cared.) well any way after all said and done the manager not even saying a word decided it was ok to end the call and hung up on me.
