After eating dinner with my father each evening, I'd stop in here for a couple of beers or a cocktail. The service was very pleasant but not always prompt. Bianca the bartender is a hoot - it's clear that all the regulars who belly up to the bar enjoy her company, and may be regulars because of her. The interior is very pleasant, with big north-facing windows, dark wooden tables and chairs, and a few nicknacks scattered about. During that time, other guests who arrived after us appeared to receive service before we did. I ordered the steak and cheese sandwich, and my wife ordered the chipotle chicken Alfredo. The food arrived about 15 minutes after we ordered. My sandwich was acceptable, but the chipotle chicken Alfredo was not prepared well. The chicken was overcooked, and the sauce had thickened to the point that it affected the texture of the dish. My wife was unable to finish it. We were also there during happy hour, which was supposed to include $2 off all drinks. After reviewing the bill, the drink discount did not appear to be applied. Because of the amount of time we had already spent waiting, we chose not to raise the issue at the restaurant. After asking for the bill, we waited about 10 minutes and had to call the waitress over again to request it. Based on this visit, we do not plan to return to Pub 22. This incident left me disheartened, as I had never encountered an owner of a business who prioritized customer satisfaction over profitability. I was particularly disappointed that the additional order of beef consisted of only two pieces. I assumed that if the owner was not concerned about losing customers, she would also be indifferent to losing more to me. I'm highlighting the importance of providing feedback to business owners about the quality of their service. It is crucial for customers to be aware of the potential feedback they may receive from the owners of the businesses they frequent. She definitely lost me as a customer.
