Yes, I know I only put three stars, but I really do love Pizza Hut (just not the way my stomach feels after I eat it). They basically hasn't changed at all the last 40 years, and I generally have to be craving it when I get it. This store is one of the few remaining old-school dine-in locations, but it's pretty dark and dingy inside, it looks like it hasn't been updated since it was first opened. The service was a little slow, and the people inside barely look like they knew what they were doing, but somehow they got the pizza to taste just like it always has since I was a kid (which is to say, kind of mediocre and pretty oily, but with that yummy and familiar crispy pan taste we all know. I'll go there again if I get the craving, and even though I like seeing the old restaurant style building, I doubt I'll ever sit in there and eat... But you never know. read more

Okay I'm going to have to change my review to a five-star now. This time the pizza was made early and delicious. The people working inside were absolutely amazing. I did hear from the owner from my last experience and they did assure me they were working on staffing issues and encourage me to come back for better service. I gave 2 stars only because the food was good. I ordered 2 family size orders of breadsticks and only got one. When I told them about it, they said if I wanted another order I would have to pay for it. I had already paid for it!!! I showed her my receipt and she continued to argue with me about it. We never did get our breadsticks. We went there to eat in, not take out. We got our pizza in a box, was handed paper plates, and we had to buy 2 liter bottles of pop for our drinks. They didn't even give us any ice, and the pop was warm! There were no servers, we had to do everything ourselves. Sometimes this pizza is off the chain sometimes it appears they don't know how to make a stuffed crust because the last time I ordered a stuffed crust it looked like the crust started to come apart and when I ordered a New York style pizza that they had for a limited time they're crust was Rock solid the next day and it looked like somebody had started to cut the middle of the crust so it folds like it was old dough sometimes the breadsticks are excellent and sometimes they're not. We were searching for a quick dinner on our first night in South Haven, and Pizza Hut was perfect. The food was ready fast, within 20 minutes. Unfortunately, when we arrived to pickup the pizza, our order was mistakenly given to someone else. The staff more than made up for their mistake by immediately remaking our order, applying a 50% discount, and they gave me a drink while I waited. I called in while driving to South Haven to get lunch pizzas for my customer. I asked if they had any "special offers" and was told "the only one we have is our Bread Lovers Box" with 2 mediums with 1/2 topping and some other garbage for $19.99. I got 2 of those and another large pizza and when I went in there I said, "That's too bad you don't have the $10 any pizza special any more." The woman playing mindgames said, "It's not a special, it's a DAILY DEAL, you asked what our specials were not DAILY DEALS." So I was super-pissed, obviously the manager condones and promotes this skullduggery. And I asked why they were playing mindgames and asked who the manager was and she just stonewalled me. And the pizzas weren't ready. They waited to see if someone called in a larger order to not pick up. I was livid but kept my cool with this loser sewing circle. We were visiting South Haven from out of town and decided to try Pizza Hut as it had been a long time since we had it. I won't complain about the long wait and the fact that their App wouldn't work because A) they were likely busy and 2) they don't control the App. That said, the food was absolutely terrible. First, it was like warm at best. Second, the breading tasted old and nothing really tasted fresh, actually the best way I can describe the crust on the cheese sticks was card board. I brought my brother here for lunch today. For an appetizer, we ordered cheesy bread sticks, which came out fairly burnt.. but edible with the marinara sauce. After ordering our large, meat lovers, stuff crust, I informed the waitress I was going to hold onto the menu because I hadn't decided if I wanted to place another order for wings to take with me to work this evening. Before the pizza came out she had returned to the table twice asking if I was going to order more. At this point I'm slightly annoyed. Enter the pizza, which was actually good. What wasn't good, was she didn't bring plates out for the Pizza with it. After waiting a few minutes, I made a makeshift plate out of the table paper towels and it wasn't until I was 2 slices in she returned to the table and asked how everything was. After telling her I would like a plate, she apologized and brought one. Ultimately, I was asked several times about the additional order I was thinking about placing, which seemed rushed, and felt as if it annoyed her I had held onto the menu. The appetizer was burnt and not that great. The pizza was good. The service was less than mediocre and for that reason I wouldn't recommend dining in here. Consider buying yourself a Tombstone Pizza and save yourself the disappointment. I should also mention we were the only ones here 90% of the time. Since I've written this review a party of 6 came in and an older gentleman. The older gentleman just left because he was ignored after she told him to seat himself. After taking her time getting drinks for the party of 6, she walked to our table after verbally complaining that the other gentleman left, proceeded to say, "now that I've ignored your table, what else can I get for you." Okay I work at a pizza place so I know that things don't always run smoothly and would NEVER complain about service at a restaurant. About two minutes passes Man: Okay sorry about that can I have a name to put your order under? Me: Tom Man: And what would you like tonight? Me: One large pepperoni pizza and an order of breadsticks Man: Do you want a small order or a family size? Me: Just a regular size Man: Like ten breadsticks? Me: Sure Man: A family size? Me: Just a normal order of breadsticks Man: So a family size? Me: yes Man: Okay that will be ready in about fifteen minutes About fifteen minutes later I arrive at the hut. It's not very clean and there's random garbage on the ground. The place is mostly empty and they tell us it's almost ready. We wait about fifteen MORE minutes and I think it must be ready soon. Five minutes later the man hands me my pizza and I say I ordered breadsticks too. "Well it's not on he ticket," he says showing me the ticket. Okay I can overlook the confused answer, the computer problems, the garbage on the floor and the long wait but come on! One large pep pizza and a order of bread was all I was asking for. If zero stars was an option, that is what I would put. I placed my order online (while on break at work) and showed up at the estimated time, but my pizza had still not been put in the oven, mind you, no other pizzas were being made at this time, nor were there any other customers in the facility. I waited in the facility an additional 25 minutes and received a cold pizza with the incorrect toppings. I talked to the staff at the location and told them my pizza was wrong, (they apparently did not believe me because they had to pull up my order online and print off a new reciept.) During this time, the computer froze, they ran out of reciept paper, and I had to wait even longer for this issue to be resolved. The staff memeber apologized and asked if I wanted to wait for a new one to be made.... Like I have all day to hang out at Pizza Hut. I ended up getting a cup of jalapeños, eating a piece of the cold pizza, and throwing it away (because of the flavor of the incorrect topping.) WE had horrible service at this pizza hut. The waitress we had Tamika DID NOT DO HER JOB!!!!!!!!! We ordered a split pizza and twice it came back wrong. We didn't get our sodas, silverware, ect all while our waitress went to the bathroom 3 times and did not wash her hands. The Worst service ever!!!!!! They better rethink there staff cause they are very rude and the manager at that time would not take care of the problem.
