Grabbed a pizza and some wings here to go when in town last week and both were pretty good! We went with the deluxe pizza (hold the olives) and the BBQ sweet chili wings. Both were pretty good! A bit pricey for a large pizza tho ($29) but it was plenty of food for three people so when you break it down it wasn't too bad. Pick up was easy and I was able to get a spot in the lot next to them (tho during peak tourist time that might not be so doable) so I could run in and out. They have a larger dining room than I was expecting and it was quite nice in there. Very Italian tavern kind of style. They also had a few grab and go things like beer, wine, a bit of snacks, etc. I wouldn't go so far as to call it a "market" but it had a few things that were handy if you're in from out of town. read more

As locals, we appreciate sitting outside in the summer and seeing so many familiar faces. Scooter's scratches the pizza itch and sitting outside is a nice bonus. We jumped off the boat, made our way across the street, and sat down outside. Service was a little disjointed/slow, but picked up the pace after we ordered our drinks. Pizza is well-sauced, solid, and has a nice "fold." The (tasty) dip is exactly what you'd expect. The fried ravioli was interesting and had an unexpected crunch. Price point reflects "what you get" and the 'Tuck's summertime hustle/bustle. Our main feedback would be to "punch up" the salads and toppings (see pic). Yes, we understand that the price point will go up. Salad, pizza, and wine is a popular combo and we'd love to see Scooter's enhance their salads. read more

We ordered the pizza and text said it would take 45 minutes. So we waited until 35 minutes to go get it. It was cold and tasted like frozen pizza. Not sure the reason for not texting saying it was ready early. read more

Went here as a party of 6. This is the worst service I have quite literally ever experienced from the hostess to the drinks to the pizza. I ordered a daiquiri and was given a margarita inside a daiquiri glass (is what the server informed me after I had drank a bit). We ordered ONLY TWO pizzas and after waiting about an hour our server came to the table to tell us our pizzas were ripped?? while taking them out of the oven??? Doesn't make sense. But as a family of 6 with two kids under 10 and it was close to 9pm we decided to just pay our tab for the drinks and leave. Onto my other complaint about the host. Completely incompetent and unprofessional. We walked inside to pay the tab and when offered the card to pay she said "no"...? What??? So we said okay if we can't pay then we will leave. Cause if you aren't making our food and we can't pay for our drinks we already drank then we might as well leave. She started yelling at my brother in law pretty quick into the interaction accusing him of yelling and being rude. You tell me, how would you feel after sitting on a patio for over an hour for dinner to get literally no food and then to be told we can't pay our tabs and also can't leave. Absolutely absurd if the managers care at all ab how their business is perceived that host on September 4th PM shift needs a reality check and couple customer service lessons. It's quite embarrassing on the company to be acting that way to a family TRYING to pay their tab. read more

Looking for late night food in the area can be tough. And my late night i mean past 7 pm. We got a take out crispy crunch wrap on jalapeño cheddar and a club sub. We paid an extra $4 for fries, which seemed expensive since the portion is so small. The food was good and fresh. Would go again. read more

Scooters serves a really tasty hand-tossed pizza, with a slightly chewy, slightly crispy crust. A 14-inch should feed two moderately hungry people. The rest of the menu is varied enough to please almost anyone--salads, sandwiches, pasta dishes. Our large group walked away satisfied. Nice service, good location. read more

Scooters was great. While the food and atmosphere were great and I'd give them 5 stars just for that (by the way the Greek Pizza is awesome and the fish and chips were fantastic). The staff were super accommodating to my son and grandson who had tons of food allergies. The chef and owner came out to talk with us and go through what options they had in the kitchen. Every night we walked by the place was packed, we got late night takeout one night and it was pretty good. The pizza I'd say was average but the cheesy bread was amazing! Everything tasted fresh. The only thing was they forgot our marinara for the cheesy bread. Pickup was easy and convenient. Everything was fairly priced, we would stop in again when visiting the area. read more

Anna is fantastic!!!! Best waitress I've ever had. So funny and kind. The pizza was so cheesy and yummy. We pretty much sampled the whole menu. The garlic bread was MASSIVE. Anna's recommendation to try the lasagna did NOT miss. Met the owner, he was so cool. Offered cake for my friend's birthday! What a treat. Didn't get any though because we told him too late :/ I assume it was fantastic as well. She also recommended a great wine for us. Can't wait to sip on it tonight. Cute pizza place open late in downtown Saugatuck. Walked in and we were greeted right away. Found a seat and ordered some fluffy breadsticks and crispy curly fries. Then we proceeded to try some of their pizza! The BLT and the Margherita. Both very delicious. For something sweet we tried their cinnamon sticks and we were not disappointed. The owner of this restaurant is BEYOND rude and disrespectful to clientele. Our pizza took FOREVER and was incorrect; the waitress offered to have a new one made, but at this point our kids were losing it. Insert the owner coming out to tell us that Saugatuck isn't a town for kids. Excuse me? Food is delicious and hot. I absolutely love the gluten free crust and cauliflower (also gluten free). Highly recommend the basil pesto sauce on the pizza. We were happy with our dinner. It was very busy. The hostess/waitress was very friendly. The blonde waitress acted annoyed that we asked her to get us sauce. She said she had to go "way back" in the kitchen to get it. Oooook. She may have been busy, but we were patient and friendly. She really didn't even do much except bring us our appetizer. The hostess and someone else gave us our drinks and dinner. The blonde just showed up with the machine fir us to pay AS we were eating and said it doesn't look like you need anything else. Yes Mam bbq sauce. This really annoyed her. She never brought it out. Simply a racist server , plus she couldnt handle 2 tables by herself. I was in the middle of ordering my food, she cuts me 3 times to go serve another table. Add on this the owner came shouting and yelling without investigating about what happened. He was yelling in the middle of the street. He even didnt respect his age, as a senior man, he was yelling in a way scared us. I do have witnesses plus he threatened me to remove my review from google or else he will flag it and he i guess he did cuz google they removed it without investigating also which is very bad from google not to be accurate and fair. At the last minute we decided to try scooters for pizza. There were two women working there that were so accommodating, so personable. My daughter and I both loved the pizza we split and the three kids we had loved their individual kids pizzas. We talked about it so much that two nights later we went back and got Pizza to take home. This place is open year round which is great because due to this being a resort town, things tend to have odd hours or only open during the season. I ordered the cheese bread and the pepperoni pizza. WOW such great food oh, and my husband got the Italian roast beef sandwich which was just as amazing! If you want pizza or a great sandwich you will not be disappointed with this spot! Scooters is open year-round--this is a big deal for locals living in a tourist-centric town. It is also West Michigan owned, LGBTQ friendly for real. Aaaand, supergood food!!! Scooters has a surprisingly varied menu, including kids options. Their bar is small but quality, the pizza is truly Neapolitan style (get the Margarita), and they have comfort American favorites like taco salad. Nice views indoor and out, rarely a wait in shoulder season, speedy service, decent prices for the area, and open late. The only thing to to avoid is the mazelike (and shared) bathroom situation. No problem, tcb at the public restroom near the park. This place is worth the bathroom sacrifice. Good for date night, friends & family, take out, cozy rainy afternoon, or sunny Sundays! read more

We find the pizza actually pretty good and it's a great location with outside seating. However, our last visit the older blonde waitress was so rude I'd swear she had some sort of personal vendetta. There was no one else in the place so she didn't seemed overwhelmed. She was just, honestly, hostile for no reason.
