We ordered pickup. They said come in 0 minutes. We were close so we got there in 15. It was coming out of the oven. The crust is amazing. It was crunchy. We ordered an assortment meats and garlic and onions. I think they could have been more generous with the toppings. The Italian sausage was excellent it just needed more of it. People were super friendly. read more

We've been ordering pies from Pizza Mambo for a decade now. Solid pizza option. We appreciate PM's fresh ingredients, take-out accessibility, Taft's proximity (across the street), and pleasant demeanor (even when busy). We're always happy to see some familiar faces in the back working both the dough and ovens. The pizza is thin crust, chewy and crunchy (ideal), and their Italian sausage is the crumbly/fennely kind we all love. Hey, we'd love a bit more sauce, but you can always order a side dunker. Price point is accurate for "what you get", about $25 per pie. We look forward to our next pie...or 3! read more

When we visit the area from Ohio we always order a pizza from Pizza Mambo. Our first night in town this trip was no different. We ordered the Aloha Pizza. Delicious as always. The lady who took my order on the phone offers a high level of customer service. Same lady took care of me when i picked up. If you like crispy thin crust pizza, this is THE spot. The food here id phenomenal and I am a bit of a pizza snob. Ingredient ratios are perfect and the ovens are seasoned to a T. Even better is the service. My baby spilled my drink all over my pizza immediately after it came to the table, and they made me a new one without hesitation. Actions like that speak volumes about the care and dedication to their craft and customers. I can't wait to come back. read more

Hubby and I were in the area for tulip festival. This little gem was right down the street. We picked up to eat in our hotel. My husband only really likes thin crust and surprise surprise that's all they have there! But it's cooked on wood burning oven or at least that's what it seemed like. Great amount of toppings, light sauce as we requested, toppings were quality and tasted great! So happy! And the cost wasn't out of this world only the flavor!! read more

Came here for because of the good ratings but was disappointed. We ordered a large Rustico pizza. The crust was so dry and flavorless. The toppings itself didn't really taste good. There was not enough sauce under the cheese. Not worth the $25. read more

I'm visiting the area for a few days and decided to check out some local pizza shops. Although I'm use to Michigan food always being delish. I wasn't ready for just how good Pizza Mambo is. The pizza is ok but the guy who answers the phone is the absolute worst. He repeatedly tries to get me to not order a pizza. "We've been slammed and it will take 1.5 hours to deliver so you may not want to order". " we can't guarantee we can deliver tonight ". Seriously wtf? We live in town and can't believe how awful the phone service is. You need to fire this idiot. We love the pizza!!! My parents' have a cottage in Fennville and they order pizza weekly from PM and it is always a must while we visit them! They are currently only doing carry out to continue to protect their employees and customers from Covid. I wish more businesses were as conscious of the lingering Covid situation. We called in an order end it was a 50 minute wait. The pizzas were ready in 50 minutes exactly. We got a large sausage pizza and a medium sausage pizza with extra cheese. They were delicious!! The crust, cheese and toppings are all high quality but, for me it's the sauce that makes their pizza so special!! I visited Pizza Mambo with my wife for the first time. I'd like to mention right off the kindness and warmth we received when we entered the restaurant to place our order. We decided to order a pizza and salad. The pizza is made from scratch right on the premises. Homemade dough balls in three different sizes. The crust was thin and perfectly baked to a slight crisp. The ingredients were fresh and sauce was seasoned perfectly! The salad had the freshest ingredients and vegetables with one of my favorites - pickled beets. The dressing was made fresh by the Owner David. It's the most delicious Greek dressing I've ever had! To conclude the meal, we had a slice of home made Key lime pie. If you've never been to Pizza Mambo, you're missing out. I've driven by so many times and never stopped. I should've been enjoying this awesome pizza long ago! We stopped in 40 minutes before closing, ordered a pizza to go and they were kind enough to invite us to eat the pizza inside where it was toasty warm. The owners and staff were very friendly. This is the best pizza in Douglas, maybe even Allegan County. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! We ordered the Greek Pizza and added mushrooms. It was outstanding. We also created out own pizza with pepperoni, sausage, onions and bacon. Pizza Mambo makes their own sauce and their own crust. Both were really really good and I think just made the pizza. To top it off, they have all fresh ingredients. Their sausage is sourced out of Chicago and was great! I can only imagine how delicious everything else is on the menu if they can make pizzas this terrific. I don't think I'll be coming to Douglas/Saugatuck without ordering from Pizza Mambo. Do yourself a favor and order some of their goodness, you will NOT be disappointed. read more

Best pizza spot in Saugatuck/Douglas area!! Coming from Chicago we have high standards for good pizza. The employees are so kind, you can tell they care about the food they make. Loved the thin crust, got a sausage and the veggie pizza. Both cooked to perfection and loved the vegetable selection. Greek salad was great- perfect ratio of toppings to lettuce, ask for 2 dressings :) Now dessert- brownie was fudgy and rich, key lime pie was tart and creamy. 10/10 meal, highly recommend! read more

The pizza was great and the breadsticks were so good! I definitely recommend! There isn't much seating inside so we ordered it to go and took it back with us. Called in for takeout here and it was a 1.5 hour wait. We couldn't get through to them on the phone and ended up walking there, but the pizzas were pretty good. We called for pickup and everything went very smoothly. They did tell us it would be an hour for our order of 1 pizza and 1 salad so that was a little odd but it was a busy weekend and guessing like many establishments at the end of the season their staff is dwindling. The place has a nice patio in front but isn't particular a sit-down restaurant. Our order was ready and correct when we arrived. They pizza was pretty good although my guess was it had been sitting there for a while as it was cold and not quite as crisp as it probably was originally (so maybe they didn't need an hour). :) glad we tried the rustico pizza though had lots of ingredients and a good flavor and salad was defiantly big enough for 2-3 people to share. Anywho this is a great place to grab pizza in the Douglas/saugatuck area. Made for a nice option to bring it back to our condo versus fighting the crowds at the sit-down options. read more

We are new to the area and this was our first time trying Pizza Mambo. Unaware of the hours we came in just 10 minutes before closing- usually something we avoid. We were warmly welcomed by the owners David and Ken, who then proceeded to recommend favorite menu items. We order the Marg 2 and Greek pizzas. Both pies were handmade by David and delicious!! Toasty hot, full of toppings and packed with flavor. David brought the food to us personally. and kindly got to know us a bit. Indoor seating is limited to 8 seats but I recommend eating in the outdoor flower garden courtyard with umbrella tables. The space is beautiful, charming and slightly exotic. When we left, it felt like we left a friend's home. Kind people, great service and a warm inviting atmosphere!! A new favorite! read more

Didn't try the food but the menu looked great and they had a huge selection of beer and full bar. Spoke with the owner and he was extremely friendly. And my daughter had "the best Shirley Temple she's ever had" which is saying a lot. Great place to take the family.

Second, the first pour - the Cote de Rhône - was fully turned to vinegar - sent it back. The second choice was the house red blend and it was also on its way to turning - had to send it back. Third choice was an ok red blend. The Bartender was not pleased as a result and copped an attitude the rest of our visit through dinner. First meal choice was The Asian Salad. It was dressing with some greens added in. Tasty but was looking for a salad not soup. The Tomato Boursin soup ordered to complement the salad was passable. The salmon dinner - modified for food allergies - was excellent. Ambiance was delightful.
