The thing about gizzards is, they need to be properly prepared before frying. The key is to use slow, moist heat. This can be achieved through stewing, braising, or using a slow cooker. Alternatively, you can tenderize gizzards by gently boiling them before frying. They didn't do any of these. What I got was 50% inedible gristle rubber bands. The breading was specs instead of coating. They were served on a sheet of wax paper on a plate that caused each gizzard to become soggy in the drained grease that pooled instead of being absorbed.
