Waterloo Iowa place I frequent a lot. usually I'm in and out…read moremost of the time preloaded trailers this time I at the live load up a load near the John Deere plant and well long story short they were running slooow. my belly started rumbling about an hour and a half as I sat there I didn't really want pizza I was looking forward to something else when I got loaded and got out of Dodge but I decided to look up Jimmy John's and lo and behold there was one about a shout distance on down yonder.. like I usually do I took a look at both Google reviews and Yelp reviews but no longer TripAdvisor I don't trust anymore but that's a different story and decided well let's go ahead and see what happens so I rang them up told them where I was I originally got a new guy that didn't know what the heck was going on he's kind of new so I spoke to Sammone. Sammone knew exactly where I was she even knew the little flashing caution light where to turn that to the back side of the warehouse where I was sitting at she was very pleasant on the phone we had a few couple of laughs about different experiences from when I've been around and where I'm at and she took my order so she may be delivering cuz she's a delivery driver it sounds like she's a jack of all trades pretty much does everything there at that shop... so I ordered up the number two big John I didn't want the big hunters with all the roast beef but it was delicious no mayonnaise add Dijon mustard cut it in half a bag of thini chips and a large diet Coke easy on the ice and freaky fast texting you know there it was she's cruising into the parking lot and it's like wow that was quick. I put it at my credit card when I called in added the tip and four or whoever the driver would be it turned out to be her she's very coordinator she had her mask on no contact delivery was very good all in all a fantastic experience...especially since it wasn't another Pizza sitting in the truck one thing I've noticed thanks to Jimmy John's you may not realize it but you have a lot of truck drivers that get tired of ordering pizza like we did back in the day cuz it's the only place that would deliver you have a steady clientele truck drivers that are now looking forward to calling and hopefully you appreciate that at the corporate office... well I didn't get to see the inside of the store because it was delivered nonetheless it was a nice quick prompt and delicious sandwich and I have no complaints and I wouldn't hesitate to call that one again...

It made our group's night out on the town even more special. The service was amazing! Everyone was helpful and kind, but even more important--they were patient with our big group. When realized they had run out of an item, they were quick to accommodate and remedy the situation. And finally...the pizza!!! We were pleasantly surprised with just how amazing the restaurant pizza was. We ordered the house pizza, chicken Alfredo, Thai chicken, and a GF barbecue pizza. It was all delicious! The Alfredo is probably the best Alfredo I've had and was a nice touch in the Thai pizza as well. It seemed to be our groups favorite but only just. It was hard to decide with how much we loved each unique pie. Even the gluten free pizza was yummy! It was difficult to tell the crust was GF with how good it was. (Our GF can confirm from next day testament that it was indeed GF, worry not!) We also ordered the cheesy garlic bread and the nachos as appetizers, bother were equally delicious but unfortunately unpictured... All around a great experience. The only reason for 4/5 stars is the wait time. We waited a long time to finally order. Once we did, we only waited about 10-15 minutes for our food.

When our order did arrive, two people in our party were given children's menu cups even though we had ordered adult drinks. We were still charged the full adult price despite receiving the smaller cups. On top of that, our drink orders were mixed up multiple times throughout the meal. Each time we had to ask for the correct drinks, but no one apologized or acknowledged the repeated mistakes. While we understand that restaurants can get busy and errors happen, the lack of communication, accountability, and basic customer service made the experience frustrating. We expected much better service and hope improvements are made so future customers have a better experience.

I have family in town from out of state visiting us as I am battling inoperable stage 4 cancer. We recommend Hu Hot saying they are always good! Our servers have always been fast and friendly! Our server came and she introduced the process and 'one bowl' rule to our visitors. (All in late 70's and 84 yrs old and never been to a Hu Hot) I have never had them push that ONE BOWL rule except on the sign. But...ok. Asked about drinks and I asked for a bowl of lemon wedges for all the waters then ordered drinks. My aunt opted for just water, I ordered an ice tea, wife ordered a lemonade then my uncle said, very clearly, "ice tea please" and my aunt said "me too, I will have the ice tea". All 5 of us were very clear on what was ordered. She dropped off 1 ice tea, 1 lemonade and 3 waters and the lemon slices. We noticed 2 missing ice teas NO BIG DEAL! EASY FIX! and I told my wife we would just flag her down. A different server came by and I asked for the 2 missing ice teas. He said "Sure! I will let your server know". The original server came back and set down 3 ice teas on the end of the table and said "Here's the 3 ice teas but you said 3 waters! But I will replace them anyways". Very rude tone! Our jaws actually dropped and 3 of 5 of us all spoke up and said "nobody ordered 3 waters and we all heard ice teas. She walked off in a 'whatever' manner and we all stared at each other in a bit of shock. Really!!! Mad at us because she messed up the order we all heard?? Wife went up to the same server at the bar to make sure we weren't charged for the 4th tea and explain that we ordered what we wanted...in a very calm tone. Server said "I don't like the way your talking to me and am getting a Manager! Mind blown again. The assistant Mgr came out and had a good , calm, intelligent talk at the table (learned it was her 3rd shift) and they made adjustments in the staff to get us a server we could talk to who did a great job. The food, (good as always)second server and assistant mgr earned the 3 stars. Really do NOT know what this young lady is going through in life...plus a new job...so Grace and possible extenuating circumstances mindset applied. I do hope it's not as bad as inoperable stage IV terminal cancer. . Even fighting THAT, I can't be that intolerably rude. We do pray she finds a peace that allows her to answer a Mis-heard order with a "Sorry about that! I'll be right back with your _______ ." Or something friendly like that! We will adjust our statement made while suggesting Hu Hot to my family and friends in the future to saying "The food is always good and the service is ALMOST always fast and friendly". Thanks assistant mgr and Hu Hot staff that worked through this SHOULD HAVE BEEN "non-issue". We will be back! Just really careful on server selection! God Bless!
