Very enjoyable lunch pizza buffet. A ton of seating, good service, and they were bringing out fresh pizzas the whole time I was there.

Arrived about 230 on a Saturday for lunch. Everything on the buffet was fresh & excellent. Salad & cold bar items were cold, pizza, pasta, soups & hot bar items were hot, freshly prepared, & delicious. Service was fast & friendly & drinks kept full. What most people don't know about Pizza Inn is the variety they offer. It's not just pizza! I love the full salad bar. They didn't cut any corners but made sure to add all the salad ingredients you could want. Next to that is a small hot bar with pastas, and other hot foods. The best pizza is Buffalo chicken, followed by loaded potato, followed by the taco pizza! Absolute deliciousness. Only downside is it costs a little higher than you would expect it to. read more

Arrived 1 st time in area. Nice parking lot, Handicap accessible. Greeted and given a nice clean table with chairs also booth options. Drinks to table quickly. Buffet was clean and well stocked. We were asked if we needed anything we did not see on salad bar. Wide variety of pizza to choose from. I am not a fan of thin crust pizza but it was good hot and fresh pizza brought out quickly keeping it well stocked. Price for buffet was 17.88 included Sweet tea. I was pleasantly surprised by this spot. First of all, there is such a plethora of pizza options on buffet... Stuff I never ever thought about. Everything I tried was good. Even more surprised by the variety of wings on the bar. Normally I steer clear of buffet wings since they're usually garbage. These were not.... They were yummy!! Waitress and other staff members made us feel so welcome and seemed to genuinely look forward to us coming back! My only minor complaint is that there were zero tomatoes on salad bar. It's not the biggest buffet but my kids do enjoy the variety. The options of soups is always a nice touch, but the staff are very nice and will make pretty much any pizza you ask for. This is where they really stand out, their staff is alway very nice and accommodating. Every time we've been there they have automatically changed the tvs to a kid friendly station. Salad bar was fresh and many items however I do not remember seeing any tomato. Buffet is now 11.99 each a significant price increase. I brought my 14 year old son and my 10 year old son and his friend. The prices were astronomical for what you actually receive. $17.88 each for my 14 year old and I, and $9.00 for each of the small ones...$57 for mediocre dry pizza. Our waitress was absolutely amazing and kind but the pizza is not worth the money. The kids didn't eat enough for those prices and overall just disappointed. The service was friendly and you can't go wrong with a buffet. The cook seemed friendly and was asking customers if they had any requests.

They had a few fusion type pizzas that were quite nice. It was a buffet and worth the try or you could also order from a menu. I loved the Taco pizza but didn't love the what I would describe as a Big Mac pizza but it wasn't bad. Just not my flavor. I didn't think I would like the taco pizza but it was quite nice and possibly my favorite. They had a nice variety of pizzas on the buffet and I heard them ask a family if there were a particular pizza they wanted on the buffet that they didn't see. I believe they would get it together for you fresh. The pastas seemed to be drying out as it sat on the buffet. They should probably come by and stir them more often. They had a couple soups and a salad bar that looked good. I just didn't want to fill up on those so I can't speak to them. It was a serve yourself buffet but they did keep our drinks refreshed. They were very accommodating with my wife having a transplant and she's not supposed to eat buffets due to germs. They brought her plastic gloves so she didn't have to touch the common utensils. The good the veggies on the salad bar were fresh. She said the chocolate pudding was above average. Mediocre to bad:There were no tomatoes on the salad bar and no honey mustard dressing. I did not try the soups either chicken noodle or broccoli. The pizza crust was very cardboard and flavorless. Didn't find or taste much sauce. The cheese was lackluster and bland. The ham was like poor quality lunch meat. The pepperoni was okay. The Alfredo sauce tasted just like Ragu brand. They had little pigs in a blanket but the poor crust did them no favors. Absolutely disgusting food that has been sitting out for hours. My husband and i sat down for five minutes and ate one slice between the both of us just so we didn't waist food. We immediately left when we could and the waitress we had was giving us attitude when we got up to leave and charged us $35!!! Tony and I had never been to a Pizza Inn before and truthfully we try to stay away from Buffet....but this place was actually pretty good. Great salad bar choices, pasta bar and pizza in many varieties and breadsticks/Stromboli We arrived when the door opened so everything was fresh and untouched. We were able to get a nice variety on our plate before lunch crowd came in. Server was very FRIENDLY and we tipped her well even though we did the work. They had a great domestic bottle beer selection for Tony the King of Beers and I had my soda. Under $25 with taxes/tips and we got our bellies full. The worst waitress I've ever had in my life and I'm 57 years old. Salad bar has no tomatoes or onions on it; when I asked about it, she said, "not on the salad bar!", with a tone and expression as if I'd asked for filet mignon! A crew of 20 construction workers came in ahead of me and my two sons and they were obviously regulars. Every time they put pizza out on the buffet, as one would expect, the workers would attack it. Which is fine they work hard and have to get back to work. The staff all called them by their first names, clearly they come in a lot so why wasn't the restaurant better prepared? After 30 minutes, I had ate a small salad with no tomatoes or onions and my two sons had eaten a total of three pieces of pizza so I asked our waitress if we could eat a pizza made for our table. She raised her voice and said, "so now you want a menu!", no I just wondered if we could get a pizza for the table because you are so bu..., she interrupts, "yeah! Well we have a lot of people in here and so we are busy!" Are you going to let me talk, I said, and she yelled, " I'll just go get the manager and let him deal with you!" And she stormed off. As I was making my way through the busy restaurant to get to the cashier I told her to just not worry about it, I'd take my sons somewhere else to eat. I heard another staff member say, "yeah! That's how you dine and dash!" The manager was nice and only changed me for one buffet, but the waitress! I wish I had her name. Older white woman! The place is okay. It is not my first choice. It reminds me of the 50cent buffet from Vegas Vacation. "I'll have some of the blue and some of the purple" . The pizza is just okay. You get exactly what you pay for-cheap prices=cheap food. Crust was meh, tapping a were kinda spongy. Their pepperoni was okay, probably their redeeming quality. The service here is not good at all! I been to the buffet 3 times and I can not get a slice pizza. So I wanted to order one. I been to many pizza inn's and if you buy the buffet ticket you can order one pizza for your table of any kind. When I tried to do this the waitress comes to the table with so much attitude and says so now you menus to order pizza instead. She's clearly not happy about it and every time I go to talk she over talks me, so I wait and when she done I said can I talk now? She responds with no you can take to Maneger and leave! These places are usually really good places to go. But this location is not! Unless you can tolerate disrespect I do not recommend that. When it's not COVID--19, they always stock the buffet and keep it freshly. Currently, the have buffet to go dead at a really affordable price. My kids live this place, they do have good pizza and they will make whatever you request. The dessert pizza is amazing, cinnamon pizza dessert!! Yum I wished they would improve the salad bar. As far as pizza buffets go this is one of the better ones, although I am not sure if there is another anymore in Frankfort... but this is the only pizza inn in Kentucky that I am aware of and it was a staple in college in South Carolina, the recipes are consistent with the corporate stores in the south! Staff here gets to know you if you come in a lot which with kids we do! Sundays if you bring in your church bulletin you get a discount! They have wings pasta pizza and salad on the bar as well as pizza desserts. The game room is a bit of a turn off for us but it does get used and has some issues.
