We tried to like this place after a positive first lunch experience but it went downhill quickly. We took our family out to celebrate and the quality of food was really bad. It tasted like it was old the smell was off and temperature cold. We've never seen the hibachi station open, but this was the worst the buffet had been. On top of that the server on our most recent visit stood over our shoulders pointing to the tip line item asking for the largest possible tip and WOULD NOT LEAVE our table as we finished dinner and were signing the check. She was watching pointing for more and more tip pointing to the bill and going as far as patting our shoulders awkwardly asking for more money more money. It felt very inappropriate and we wondered if they did this to everyone or were singling us out for money. The physical touching was too much. Not a place we want to return to. Several of us woke up sick the next morning after eating here and I've never had a server demand +++% tips as loudly and uncomfortably as this last experience. Trust the stars. Believe the people. I saw the 2 star rating and read some of the reviews. I thought i had been there a couple times before granted it wasn't great but eatable! Well it's gotten worse. The food seems to be just above dog food and to top it off it was cold. I told the waitress it was cold and she mumbled something and asked if i wanted it microwaved (LOL, Are you serious!). So sad. We ordered from Door Dash and the food got here, really fast and hot. But...the ribs were burned so badly the meat became one with the bone! They were completely burned, cooked dry and not edible. The Shrimp egg foo yung was also cooked too hot for too long, the shrimp were tough and the eggs had that nasty burned taste. We have dined in there before - the first time the men's room was dirty and disgusting and we were treated rudely. The second time wasn't quite so bad and the restrooms were clean at least. I came here to visit from Alabama and I wanted to give this place a chance . I made a small plate while my fiancé made a good sized plate ( he didn't like anything ) . The host at the front comes to pick up the plates & says to me " Don't waste food " " Too much food too much food to waste " the service is good enough to keep the pace open . Management could be a tad less micro-managy but other than that was good. Really weird to do a buffet during Covid though, so if you haven't done that yet, be prepared to be served and try to communicate your requests to the staff. This was absolutely the most disappointing Chinese restaurant I've ever been to. The food had to have been sitting out for over 5 hrs. As an Asian customer, these people should be ashamed to serve this quality of food. Bland tasting as I am sure cardboard has more flavor. This place does NOT honor their culture and heritage. They have redone this place and its one of the best Chinese buffets that I have been to, mainly because of the amount of items they have. They really have everything from sushi to habachi to frog legs. The sushi is your typical buffet sushi, it's palatable, but if you want sushi you need to go to a proper Japanese restaurant. I base all of my Chinese restaurant reviews on their crab rangoon and they get a 4 out 5. (There is only one that holds the 5 star crab rangoon title, so 4 out of 5 is good in my book). read more

I'm usually rather skeptical of Asian/Chinese buffet places. This is probably the best one I've ever been to though, definitely the best one I've been to in a long time. Here's the good parts. It's got an entire buffet of sushi. I don't mean just the cheap rolls you'll find at most buffets with sushi, but also ahi (tuna), ebi (shrimp) and sake (salmon), and they also had more elaborate and fancy rolls too. It would be worth the cost just to come here for all-you-can eat sushi. The buffet itself has a good and broad selection of foods. It's not exactly traditional Chinese, but they even have creamed spinach on the buffet. . .and I love creamed spinach, that's a positive to me. The quality of the hot dishes were certainly the best that could reasonably be expected from a Chinese buffet. . .not exactly gourmet, but filling and tasty. I could make a good meal there off just the spinach and sushi. Now, to be fair, here's the bad part. . .the service is questionable. When I was finishing up, the server rushed me to pay immediately. The place was mostly empty, so it wasn't trying to free up seats, and it was the middle of the day so they weren't about to close, but they clearly didn't like someone just sitting in a booth after their last plate letting their meal settle in peace. This place smells amazing when you walk in. It's been a lot time since I've been here but I met some friends for dinner tonight. They have very large bars and lots of choices to pick from. The hibachi Mongolian grill has some nice options as well as fried rice. This Place is one of the most horrible places to eat at. Let's start off with how the food barely stays warm and have to eat fast if you want the food to still have flavor. On top of that they have the rudest staff there is. They complain if you don't give enough tip or stare at you until you leave. I'm sorry but youre a Chinese buffet, all the waiter do is bring you your drink and take your plates. The waiter doesn't bring your food or anything, so I only give like a dollar or so for tip. But how is a waiter gonna complain about a tip and do it right in front of your face and basically telling you that you need to do a 15%. read more

Pretty good food for a reasonable price. The buffet has a decent selection. If you like basic $4 sushi they also have a good variety of that included with the buffet. I have had both good and bad experiences here. Overall I have had more good than bad visits. read more

Had to give a star or couldn't post the review ... in saying that . DISGUSTING . Every time I've went the food never fresh took literally over 30 mins for anything to be brought out.. I took two kids I was babysitting for at the time to this restaurant .. CHILDREN . We went to get the check they WAITED . Until we took out our money. We were in the middle of a talk & they insisted that we "PAY NOW" .. is what she said. My bill was $14 and some change . Which was fine I left a $25 ... waiting to get my change back ... she NEVER BROUGHT IT . When I asked where it was she told me she kept it for her tip.. now I was going to tip . But not that much . Maybe $6 ? All they do is bring the drink . But being harassed was not what I went for. Also decided to give it another try in December .. ended up with food poisoning !! We used to love this place when it was under another name (Asian Royal Buffet), but hadn't tried it since the remodel until a few weeks ago. We came for a Mother's Day lunch because I wanted something different than the standard places we visit (you can only eat so much chicken and sandwiches) and.... kids under the age of 3 are free! We walked in to a beautifully-remodeled, open restaurant with plenty of buffet options ranging from standard American fare to Chinese food to sushi (so much sushi)! Once seated, we were quickly given our drinks and off to pile food on our plates. Although the options were pretty good, the food itself wasn't that impressive. The only thing I really loved was the sushi. I think what hit us the most was the bill -- over $30 for two lunch buffets and two drinks. The price wasn't worth it for the food. I don't know if it was inflated for the day/weekend, but we probably won't come back here for awhile until we have more funds for that kind of spending. Still glad we tried it, though. read more

I have never been treated so poorly in my customer service experiences. I used to come in there 3-4 times a month but I will NEVER be back. It took me a little longer to pull out the correct amount of cash today due to various stressors and being exhausted. The man (who has personally checked me out on most occasions) proceeded to yell at me "$7.50!" in a very aggressive tone. He kept yelling at me because I had to go back and count how many dollars I already had on the counter and he yelled "this is only $7, it's $7.50!!!". We're staying at a hotel off Darby here in Georgetown. We tried to order over $25 of take out and were told they have a minimum order of $40 to deliver. I love this type of restaurant. Although its still one of my favorite types of foods, it is still a pretty bad experience. The food is old and is left out way too long and sometimes even dries out or burns in the pans theyre in them for so long. Along with that ive been roughly three times and each time ive had the same waitress. I cant remember her name but i believe it was Jenny (thats probably not right but anyways). Everytime ive had her shes been really bad. I dont really expect her to always be at our table but when she is Id expect a LOT better service. She came up when my two other friends had gone to get more food and started picking up random pieces of food left on the table. Her head was right next to my food and i could even smell her breath through her mask she was that close. Along with that shes always trying to force you out as quickly as possible. When youre doing your check she will literally point out and say "tip" to everyone at the table. You dont beg for tips ever. She will also stand there and watch everyone fill out the tip section and is there to pressure you. Definitely a bad experience. The food wasn't very good today. The service was beyond bad. A table of 12 some had to ask for a drink 3 times never did get a refill. Then when it came time to pay it was a nightmare. The waitress mixed up all of the checks. Never did get the ones who paid with cash completely straighten out. She kept saying everyone shorted her. The real truth is that 2 parties bill was 25.70 and they left 40.00 a piece. The other one was 27.10 and with waitress said I shorted paying 25.00 instead of 25.70 but my bill was 27.10 and I paid 30.00. So then she went to another one said they shorted the check. Until she got to the last one and she refused to give him his Change. The one that paid with cards had to get there correct card back because she mixed all of them up. So my advice if you ever decide to eat here you better take a picture of what you give them. We all seen him give her the money. It has gone down for sometime but this beyond a bad experience. read more
