If you're local to the area, the pizza in reference is Augustine's Pizza. It's a small restaurant in a small town with BIG flavor! We ordered a large Pepperoni with extra Cheese and Chubby Bites. The Chubby Bites are a Local Sausage (Joseph's) and deep fried. These were wonderful!!! The batter/breading was phenomenal. The Pizza came out shortly after and didn't disappoint. It came with sliced cheese instead of shredded. We truly loved the sliced cheese over shredded. I was impressed with the classic stringy cheese as we tried to cut it and it stretched from the pan all the way to our plates. The sauce definitely reminded us Augustine's Pizza. The crust was light and crispy with very subtle sweetness. The staff was amazing and very friendly. This was our first time here and the manager made us feel like he had known us a long time. They have a large enough menu that we will definitely be back to try the next items.

The renovations to the inside and outside pay homage to the restaurant's origins, and the charm of the place was perfectly preserved. The mix of colors, patterns, and pieces inside is clearly intentional, and it was gorgeous. Everything we had for lunch was excellent - from the craft cocktails to the soup and salad to the amazing Parmesan garlic fries. She gave me the change, which I put in the tip jar along with a "thank you". The girl didn't blink, didn't say "thanks", nothing. But, OK, it's busy, maybe she's having a bad day. Our 4 pizzas were up, I went to the counter to pick them up and the same girl was cutting the pizzas. I asked if I could have have a plastic container for chili flakes. The girl didn't acknowledge me for about twenty seconds and then said, "yeah, I'll be right back" and walked to the back. A girl standing in front of me asked, "what did you need?" I said, just a small container for the chili flakes" she reached over and handed me a 2oz plastic container, at which point, the blonde girl returned with a thimble sized plastic container... no exaggeration, thimble sized. The blonde girl literally tried to take the bigger cup out of my hand, which I held onto. I said, "I prefer the larger one, it's for FOUR EXTRA LARGE PIZZAS" and she looked me right in the eye and said, "No, unless you want to pay .50 for it" I pulled the cup away and gave the second girl a buck and told her to keep the change. The two employees who witness this interaction had a "WTF is going on" look on their faces. This was my first time, and obviously last time here, and I'm really not sure what was going on. The whole interaction felt personal. I don't know if she thought is was someone else or a previous bad customer, but I can just as easily drive a 100 yards down the road for a equally good pizza and at least a smile when I walk in.

Ali's is the best pizza in New Castle. It's crust is actually a raised style crust. Most of the…read morespots in New Castle have a flat crust, undercooked, floppy and lifeless. Or overcooked hard and cracker-like. Ali's crust has a great chewy lift to it. Under the sauce and toppings, the crust holds up. Biting into a slice has just the right feel, and taste as well. A flat thin crust doesn't have a flavor. It doesn't have the air in it that lets the flavor get out to you. The flavor of Ali's pizza crust is just about perfect. Like a great French or Italian crusty loaf. And no baking soda! This dough was yeast raised, like real pizza dough should be made. The sauce on this pie is also just about perfect. I hate a flat tasting sauce. Or a sauce that is too sweet or too tangy. Sauce on this pizza was just right, in taste and amount. Had a beautifully seasoned flavor which was not heavy on anything. It was center of target bullseye. Impossible to describe except to say, I liked it. A lot. Toppings... well, I had cheese and pepperoni. The cheese? It had a flavor! There was plenty of cheese too, when you get it home, hot, and pull a slice and there is enough hot gooey melty cheese to roll off the edge of the slice, and that's plenty of cheese. And it had mozzarella flavor. Not some generic cheese like a Bob's House'O'Cheese! This cheese tasted fantastic! The pepperoni was sliced thin, and covered the pie. Just the right amount for a perfect flavor and texture. First time order, after living here for nearly two years, figures.
