Food is delicious, service is so so specially delivery and there's not much of an ambience because it's just a tiny little hole in the wall.

Wow got takeout from here for the first time ever. A spaghetti marinara and a spaghetti and meatballs... in terms of technique and taste it was essentially like the spaghetti you make in college: boil tap water, over cook pasta, add jar pasta sauce that's not enough for the amount of pasta you've made. Somehow it was worse than that, even though that seems to be what they did. And it was $30. Something I could have made better at home for $8. Garlic bread was undercooked and old. I'm giving this place 2 stars because I've been there before and had the pizza and it was good NY style pizza. But not good enough to cancel out the bad takeout. Also when I've been there, things like the pepperoni rolls, spinach rolls and cheese slices have been sitting out for what is clearly a while and they're just reheated. The service was very good but the food was okay. The chicken Alfredo that I bought didn't even have chicken in it and only a little Alfredo sauce so I had to put Parmesan cheese to make it more flavorful. The calamari wasn't as good but very crispy which I liked. read more

I only get pizza from Pizza Johny's. This place is incredible. The staff is friendly and outgoing and the food is awesome! The first time I went, some customers came in and were greeted by name. As a newbie, they made me feel like family and were eager to find out what I'd like to try. The pizza is 10/10, so I'm not sure what else to say except I haven't ordered pizza from anywhere else since I found this place. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs on one occasion and was disappointed that they only gave me 2 meatballs in the whole dish. Just kidding! The meatballs were the size of my fist! I live very close to Pizza Johny's and I have pass by it one million times without trying the pizza and recently one of my buddy's recommended it to me, so I decided to give I try. Since I am currently in diet, I decided to wait for my cheat day and order one slice of the cheese pizza with my usual topping black olives, as well the spinach pinwheel. After a long wait they delivered my order, and it arrived pretty cold. The spinach pinwheel is a wrap made of pizza dough wrapped with melted cheese and spinach, while it didn't taste bad it needed some salt to give it more flavor. The pizza once I re-heated was a lot better, the crust was very tasty, while the red sauce had a good tangy after taste. Maybe I will give it another chance, but I would eat at the pizza parlor where I don't have to worry about it getting cold. read more

Their menu is huge and there is so many options to choose from and they are willing to accommodate with you. This place is right next to Latin House (which is also delicious) but don't let this little place slip your mind because ITS SO WORTH going inside and trying a bite of their NY style pizza! This is the closest I've come to NY style pizza in Miami. The owner & staff are very friendly and you can tell they take pride in their food. I measure by three different things in comparison to Taco Bell: DECOR: Pizza Johny's is located on 72nd St in a small strip mall with other miscellaneous businesses. For a pizza place, this business is actually quite large. As you walk in you see a full on kitchen with multiple seating areas. I adore the decoration that Pizza Johny's has with references to New York landmarks and a even Mafia application form! You can't find this stuff at Taco Bell, so easily Pizza Johny's wins here! Two stars for decor. SERVICE: The service is ahb-so-lutely ah-mazing. You walk in and you're greeted with a round of hellos from all the staff who work there. I can't think of any other place that has such a welcome. Easily hands down better service than Taco Bell! Two stars. FOOD: The food here is fantastically tasty! I have tried both the pasta and pizza and it's made with love and high quality! The people who make this food clearly do it for the love of food and I have to say their food really matches with the New York authenticity that is hard to find in Miami. I am limited to only five stars on Yelp, but this place easily earns three for food! FINAL VERDICT: Is Taco Bell better? Not a chance. Think about this: would you rather have a delicious reasonably priced Italian meal or a few burritos and tacos from Taco Bell? I just walked out of Pizza Johny's so disappointed. It was 4:04 and they refused to give me the special on the two slice and soda. I have been coming here Forever and have always had a pleasant experience. I rave about them to my coworkers at the law firm I work at. Sorry to say that I won't be back anytime soon. As you walk in you are greeted by the owner, Johny, who is in the back of the restaurant cooking. That was very nice. It's definitely the kind of place you would order take-out from, unfortunately, I didn't know and ended up dining in. It was $20 for a medium cheese pizza pie and two sodas, which is a little bit on the expensive side if you ask me. My table kept on stumbling and it was a very casual place, almost street food. The crust was as crunchy as a cookie, the cheese was alright (it had a nice pull to it), and the marinara sauce was too bland for my taste. I kept on adding pepperoncino (chili flakes) and black pepper as a desperate attempt to spice things up a tad. You could easily go to an actual restaurant, ex: Harry's Pizzeria, and have a nice wood oven pizza that is around $14. In a place like that one you could actually sit down and enjoy your meal in a place with ambiance, flavorful pizza, and chairs that don't tumble. I would order Pizza Johny's if it's late at night and want something that is quick and easy. I think it's a little over-hyped and pricey for what it is. read more
