I am done with Pizza Luce. For years I ordered from them and the food was great. The last few times my order which included chicken wings has been horrible. The wings aren't fully cooked which is disgusting. I complained several times but seemingly they simply can't get them right. Honestly I can't believe it's taken me this long to review a Pizza Luce. I've lived in the TC for nearly 25 years and have eaten at all their locations hundreds of times. It's always a solid experience whether I'm doing pickup or dine in. Today it was dine in for lunch which I had never done before. We came here after a pickleball outing, and we were all tired and hungry. This place definitely hit the spot. We tried the Jalapeno Popper pizza, Vege Pizza(Extra Jalapenos), Jerk Wings, and Mediterranean Quinoa bowl. I knew I would like the two pizzas, which were very flavorful. The jerk wings were nice, though not extremely spicy. What stood out to me what the Mediterranean bowl. I did not expect to enjoy this as much as I did. Normally I feel obligated to get pizza at a pizza joint, but I might have to forgo that and just get this bowl! The server was very nice and stayed on top of our orders and drinks. Before ordering we inquired about the hot sauces, very important information. All questions were answered, plus we got to try the entire catalog of bottles. Server, Tanner, was not attentive and when he was, he presented very rude. He put in my order incorrectly and didn't even apologize that I received my dish 15 minutes later than everyone else. My two family members joined our table a little later and he was ironically annoyed that I was putting in more food for them (which would mean a bigger tip!). He complained that other tables needed his attention because I asked him which kind of IPA he recommended. He did not know any IPAs on the menu. This establishment needs to train their servers on the topic of baseline customer service and require that they know the beer and wine list. All that to say...the food and pizza is very good! I'm here every Wednesday for trivia. The custom pizzas are almost always a hit and I've made some pretty great build-your-owns as well. The rest of the menu (non pizza) is good but not great. Some of the beers are overpriced say are overpriced. A Coors shouldn't cost the same as a local craft beer or an import yet it does. We went to Pizza Luce in Roseville on Saturday -01/03/25 and the hostess seated us in a booth -and she was very nice, however the waiter in that section totally ignored us -he never looked our way, he never said "I will be with you" Nothing!! Finally after about 20 minutes of this we decided to leave and as we were leaving the waiter said " I was just coming to wait on you" which we didn't believe for one second. Not sure what the problem is in this restaurant--, but we did notice we appeared to be the only African Americans. Love that this is a close option for when I do t know what to have for dinner with my family. We decided to split the pizza half pepperoni, sausage, and the other Canadian bacon and pineapple. The salad was so so delicious and we ordered a latte size to feed 4 people and the Medium pizza was enough for 2 slices each. The salad is seasonal but I love that it had butternut squash roasted. Pizza Lucé was practically a staple meal in my house growing up through my teen years. We have done it all dined in taken out and ordered delivery. They do a really good job across the board. Their pizza itself is great! I love such a variety but still, know how to do a mean classic pizza. The cheese bread tasted great as well. They always have such attentive kind customer service. The spicy margarita was not my favorite but they do have a good Diet Coke with lime! The true gem of this meal was the elote pizza! I have no regrets getting this - it was delicious!! Their pizzas are amazing and I love the fact that they have specials running that you can only get for a specific time of the year. My recent favorite has been focaccia Caterina and the butternut squash pizza. The employees there are always very sweet and helpful. It makes a perfect little pizza spot for weekdays or weeknights.
