I and Nancy my wife ordered off the menu a 2 topping pizza and waited close to 35 minutes before being served. I'm guessing the buffet food go i n ahead of anything else. We went here for lunch. First of all they have a lunch buffet but we just wanted to order a pizza. We ordered right away but then waited over a half hour for it to finally come. I have fond memories of this pizza spot, as I used to go here before movies at the AMC next door but that will be no more. I walked in on a Friday evening, it was completely dead (6 total customers) which should have been my first warning to not sit down. We were sat in a booth near the other 6 customers in a restaurant that could comfortably sit 120 guests. As we waited and waited, we saw the waitress walk past us no less than 4-5 times. No waters. No hello. No be right with you. Completely ignored. 15-20 minutes passed and I thought to myself, maybe they are short staffed? No. Not even close. 2 hostesses, 4 other staff on the floor hanging out by the kitchen laughing and talking while we waited. They had almost as many staff on the floor as they did guests in the restaurant. Eventually, after about 20 minutes went by, we decided to get up and spend our money elsewhere. As we walked out of the restaurant, we were treated with "Thank you so much, have a good night" to which we responded "Nobody helped us" and stormed out. No wonder this place was a ghost town. I cannot comment on the buffet or eating experience inside but ordering to go was a great experience. I do think their website ordering system could be better, you have to choose build your own pizza even when ordering a specialty from what I could tell. Anyway, we ordered the pickle pizza inspired by Ricks pizza at the MN state fair and it was definitely on par with that! Super tasty. The edge pieces were so yummy with the perfect amount of crunch. The flavor was balanced with sour pickle, salty bacon, and creamy ranch, which is a bit more going on than Ricks I believe, but equally as good. We also got $2 side Caesar's which is like unheard of. Croutons looked homemade, were a bit over cooked for me but that's being nit picky. Will be back to try more! read more

My family and I have been coming here for the buffet for years. Now mostly my son and I. The pizza is great and stocked often. They have three flavors of wings that changes daily. Excellent wings. Placed another order with Sammy's to use our credit from the last pizza made in error. TonightI ordered the cheese pizza and my fiancé ordered a stromboli. OMG! What is with this place and salt! How do others enjoy eating a salt festival, the cheese pizza was salty but the stromboli was worse, could have been good if not for the heavy salt. Will not give them another try. I can taste the salt even on my lips 10 minutes after eating. Not my cup of tea at all. And tonights bill cost me another $6.49 will not invest another penny in this establishment. The service is INCREDIBLY friendly. Genuinely had the nicest server I've had in so long!! Ambiance was cozy, with nice mellow lighting. The AC seemed broken, so it was warm, but not distractingly hot. I ordered the pepperoni thin crust pizza, and it was so TASTY. My son and I stopped in for dinner needing pasta to fuel for sporting event. I got the lasagna which was tasty, good portion and filling. It could have been hotter, but we didn't need to send back. We've gone to this restaurant several times over the years. Their chicken tetrazzini is amazing especially as leftovers. The service is always good. Here's the reason for the lack of stars, my daughter who lives in another state bought both sets of parents ecards for Christmas. I don't know about the in-laws but when I tried using ours I was told it didn't work and to call the manager. I spoke to the manager the next day who said she would look into it. That was last Wednesday and I finally called back Monday to see what she found out. She told me the owner had received my daughter's email and was working with her to settle matters. We stopped in for lunch and our waitress was wonderful and the food was served quickly and hot. They have a nice beer list to accompany their pizzas and burgers. I ordered one of their burgers and it was suppose to be spicy but I didn't get the heat from it however it had a great flavor to it. Our kids ordered a pizza and they enjoyed that as well as the mini corn dogs and fries where gobbled up by one of our kids. So it's Lent and am always on the hunt for a new fish dinner. I got an email earlier in the day promoting their Lobster Mac N Cheese. Other Friday specials included Fish Hoagie or Alaskan Pollock. I persuaded my sister to go to a pizzeria for seafood! Yum yum yum! Sometimes parking can be full but we got a spot right by the door. We showed up early (5:30pm) thinking it'd be busy for Friday night. They were only half full... no wait. Waitress introduced herself and took our drink and app orders. Notice lobster wasn't on the menu so I asked about it. She said it's a Lent Friday special so it's not on their regular menu. Food came out quickly. Tator tots tasted like house salad at Olive Garden. Lobster Mac N Cheese was rich and creamy. Big enough serving to feed two people. I like lobster. I've just never had it in this kind of dish before but always wanted to try it. I'm not a fan.... it's just me. I prefer steak and lobster. But the mac n cheese was good even though I didn't eat the seafood! Only negative I can write about is the garlic toast. Can it be too buttery and too garlicky? Yes, I believe it can. Nice combination of crispy and soggy though. My sister had the fish hoagie. She says it was delicious. Surprised it came with cheese. Very filling. By the time we left, only a couple of tables remained empty. People were starting to fill the place. Upon walking out, I noticed a separate door in the entry foyer. Looked like a bar. I've been to Sammy Perrella's a few times now, and I'm not sure if I'm just having randomly bad experiences, or if this is common. We were not greeted as soon as we walked in, on any of the occasions. This is awkward, because the host stand is right when you walk in the door, and there is always someone there. I'm not sure why they don't welcome people when they enter, or if they usually do, and it just hasn't happened the times we've been there. Either way, I find it a bit off-putting to have to greet the host and ask for a table. When we are seated, we are not greeted by a server in a reasonable amount of time. Again, I don't know if this is usual, because I see the other tables who are sat being greeted by their servers right away. But it hasn't happened for us. When I have to wait a long time for a server, I tend to just get water. Even if I had been planning on getting a drink, I am no longer willing to wait for a drink from the bar, which usually takes longer. On the last visit, our server took over 5 minutes to greet us, and even then it was just "I'll be right with you" and then another few minutes of waiting. We got our food eventually and it was pretty good. I don't care for their blue cheese dressing. (Hopefully, writing it down will help me remember if I end up here again!) The giant pretzel is very good, a good value, and comes with an excellent dipping sauce. The pizza and stromboli are pretty good, too! We haven't tried any of the pastas. I will probably be back, but I won't be in a big rush to try them again. read more

This place is good, but it could be better. Service has been hit or miss on our several times here. Sometimes we've had to wait for no apparent reason, since the hosts tend to not engage you with a greeting or helpfulness on most of our visits. Occasional timing issues once you're inside and seated. Last time though, we had very good service, so it might just depend upon when you go or who you get. The pizza lunch buffet seems surprisingly small. It's pretty good pizza though, especially the bianca. The salad bar is plain. For dinner, the strombolis are quite good and consistent. That's my go-to. The Sammy's in Eau Claire is a lot better than this Sammy's. For example, for the lunch buffet at Eau Claire, the pizza is made better and the salad and pasta bar are more impressive, including their homemade salad dressings. Not great, not bad: A-OK, so that's why it gets three stars. read more

Ate dinner here tonight, December 4, 2019, around 6:45pm. It was almost empty. My friend went to the bathroom, by the time I was seated, he was already coming out. Strike one, long wait to be seated. Strike two, took forever to get our first call of service. Strike three, I ate my pizza with no refill of my beverage! Great food here. I eat here about every 4-6 weeks. I like the pasta options, and have tried several. All very good, and large portions, so I always have left overs. I also like the pizza quite a bit, especially the crust. The beer list is not long, but has some good craft beer options. Service is friendly, although sometimes a bit slow. read more

After a few visits I still believe this is a nice restaurant with decent food, but I guess I have become bored with the food. It has become a place to go occasionally rather than often. And at $41 plus tip for one pizza, one salad and one Pepsi is a little steep considering the many better and closer options in restaurants. I also do not understand their seating method always wanting to group us in next to other diners and loud equipment in the nearby kitchen when 85% of the tables are open. We asked to be seated in a quieter spot and within 15 minutes they sat a group of 4 adults and 7 excited kids right next to us (5 feet away) when there were 4 other options available. I am surprised at how good their food was. I mean we were in the area, running errands awhile ago, when we wanted to try something different for lunch. We were trying to decide what to order off the menu, when we discovered that they had a lunch buffet which gave us an opportunity to sample from their menu. It seems that the slices of pizza was my favorite items since they were quite bite sized, and different flavors as well. I also really enjoyed the salad bar, and salad bar as well. The food really tasted fresh, and they always made sure their was plenty of food for us. What I liked during our visit, was how friendly the staff was, and how they made sure we were doing well. I liked how I really seemed at home here. It would be fun to go back, to maybe try a sandwich or some bbq chicken wings. read more

Ok , I have to say this. The food gets 4 stars and the work staff get 3. But truly no food or service after 8:00 pm ? Covid shut down is over! Idk how many times over the last 4 years I tried to order something , the close at 9:00 pm they say . So next time I call (2-3weeks later) . They say must order before 8:15 !!! Then again I call (2-3 weeks later) . Oh I'm sorry we are only open that late on Weekends!!! WHAT ?! I wish I had a perfect schedule 1960s American dream !! But cmon. I only say this because 1. It's incorrect on website (or was) 2. Staff needs to be more specific. 3. I'm sooo tired of these crap hours !! What they don't want to make money?? And this BS about needing to make an order 45 min before closing!!! If ur open till 9:00pm then take orders till 9:00pm !! . What is this Country coming too? PS. Lunch buffet is pretty good - surprisingly the pizza is the least impressive part - I prefer the salad bar and fried/broasted chicken wings. Disappointed, our group had coupons that said "one per person" but the waitress would only let us use 1 per table unless she split the tab. Doesn't make sense. Sammy's pizza is our absolute favorite. We live in OK but go to Sammy's at least once every time we are visiting. This restaurant is always clean and the staff is so friendly. My only negative comment is that they serve Pepsi products instead of Coke. read more

We have had Sammy's multiple times before so ordered it again. The sausage tasted different and not nearly as good. My husband called, and Angela told him they have changed their "process" for making and seasoning the Italian sausage, and they have had other calls saying it's not the same nor as good. She told him to call the next day and talk to "Nick" who could adjust the charge for the disappointing pizza. He called today, Nick was not there, and she refused to leave a note for him as my husband requested, and hung up on my husband. I called, and she told me we were both "horrible people" for trying to resolve this, and hung up on me too. This is not an appropriate way to handle customer service or attempt to resolve a customer issue. This location has lost our business and respect.
