A year and a half later, and eating here was still a great idea! This time, we're in town with the whole family so this was a midday jaunt rather than a late night adventure. The only thing we ate that's not pictured was cheesy bread. It's made on a small loaf of French bread. The veggie pizza was mine; I thoroughly enjoyed it! My 4yo requested to eat all of the crust so even though I like the crust I handed it over. And neither of us left crumbs behind! My husband had the tiramisu and he rated it average. I didn't like it at all. I assume they make it ahead and thaw it out, because the center of it was frozen. My 6yo had the cheese pizza seemed to enjoy it. There is no better food experience than traveling across our beautiful country and trying local restaurants, state by state. It's unfortunate that we didn't get to try Pizza Luna because everything on the menu looked delicious. Even more disappointing was the service we received from the young woman with pixie cut short hair. I'm not sure why she continued to be rude, especially after we had already decided to leave. She ran after us to say the food was ready, but then told us not to come back. I sincerely hope her week gets better--it was only Tuesday at 8:45 p.m. The main issue was that the ceiling was leaking water, and it dripped directly into my drink. I politely asked for a clean cup and a fresh soda, but I was given the same cup back. I'm genuinely disappointed by the experience because I was really looking forward to trying the calzone, the pepperoni pizza, and the shrimp pizza. The service was quick, efficient, and incredibly friendly. Since it's located inside a bar, I wasn't expecting much from the food and assumed it would just be a quick bite after a few drinks. However, I was genuinely impressed by the pizza. If you're a garlic lover, you'll definitely enjoy it. They use chunks of whole garlic that are baked in olive oil right on the pizza, giving it a rich and flavorful taste without being overwhelming. It's easily one of my favorite pizzas so far. Great Pizza unfriendly Service. We've eaten everything in the French quarter for the last week and we needed a pizza. We looked up and found pizza Luna, and ordered for carry-out a sausage, onion and green pepper pizza. The pizza was excellent crust was done perfectly. The flavors melted well..... I really liked their pizza. When I arrive to pick up the pizza, the person behind the counter didn't acknowledge my presence. When I arrived, when she did look up, I told her I'm here to pick up a pizza with my name. She didn't even say welcome or anything. She just turned, walked over grabbed the pizza off the shelf without any acknowledgment, and placed it on the counter in front of me still without saying anything. I then ask for some sprinkle cheese, and she started to hand me the glass Sprinkle cheese shaker .... I looked at her and asked I need this "to-go", she turned and walked into the kitchen and came back with a plastic container... and placed it on top of the pizza box. Still not saying anything, ....she didn't put it in a bag, so I could easily carry it. I pointed out my arms is in a cast.... Kind of obvious that I'm a one armed paper hanger. She and I looked at each other , and she offered to put it in the pizza box, however, it was already taped shut with stickers..... and I did not want to lose what little heat was remaining in the box, (I had a15 min walk back to the hotel) so as my irritation was growing, I picked up the box and walked out. I'm surprised at the lack of interpersonal communication.. I was taught that pleasantly customer service goes a long way. Start with a friendly greeting... (even if you really don't care). And I believe they will have better customer experiences.....Somebody needs to work with the staff. Would I order a pizza again? Probably, it was a very good pizza....but my expectations of customer service will be low. read more

My husband and I are visiting from Savannah, GA. We went in for lunch Saturday afternoon to escape the rain. The atmosphere is very cute and relax. Servers were nice and attentive. The bread & cheese seemed fresh however the large cut onions, the large garlic pieces and veined shrimp was disgusting. You can tell the shrimp were previously frozen placed on top of the fresh pizza which made this meal uninviting & quickly tossed in the trash... I was thoroughly disappointed to see undeveined frozen shrimp on my pizza when you're in Louisiana you expect to have fresh shrimp that is clean. This has been my favorite pizza spot in New Orleans for a while, and coming back only confirmed it. The pizza is incredible (easily the best in the city) and the calzone is just as good. The ambiance is cozy, but very cramped. It's part of the charm, but you definitely need to be prepared. Service has always been friendly and efficient, even when the place is packed. My only real complaint: they don't take reservations or waitlists. Not taking reservations is one thing, but having no waitlist at all feels a little outdated, especially with how busy they get. So for tables it's truly first come first serve. Still -- amazing food, great vibe, and absolutely worth coming back. read more

I'd say that the pizza is your average, around the way pie. The cheese isn't real mozzarella and the toppings aren't "premium", but it works and I appreciate the option! Great late night spot! The pizza is super cheesy and honestly underrated. They have lots of options too, and the wings are really good and so are the fries. I do wish they had more beer options but they have enough. I'm just more of an IPA kind of girl and they only have one or two to choose from. Service was really great as well, especially for being 10 o'clock at night. Our server was Sohil - super nice and attentive but not annoying. He even boxed our food for us! We were in town for a couple of nights and I was looking around for gluten free foods. This pizza place showed up and had great reviews. It was in walking distance from our hotel so here we are. The restaurant is off of Canal Street and I would describe it as rustic. It had a bar in the back and I noticed they were busy with orders being picked up. We were there on a Wednesday evening and there were a few parties dining inside. We felt welcomed from when we arrived until we departed. We ordered just a large pizza and a drink. I thought the prices were pretty good and as usual, there was an extra charge for the gluten free crust. Knowing we were going to be taking leftover pizza back with us (breakfast) we didn't have room to try anything else off the menu. As reported in other Yelp reviews, the pizza was excellent. The crust was crispy and the ample toppings of sausage, pepperoni, diced ham, green peppers, onion, mushroom and olives melded well together. I enjoyed the leftovers for breakfast and lunch. I almost wished I was able to order another one before we left, to take with me, but we couldn't stick around to wait for them to open. When visiting next time I would definitely check Pizza Luna out for another go and maybe figure out how to order to go when leaving. Maybe they do mail orders? read more

Went to this pizza joint since it was highly recommended by a couple locals and also Google. They have a huge collection of speciality pizzas. We ended up splitting the taco pizza. I found it interesting it had refried beans and pretty good tasting taco meat. It was cool it had sour cream sauce sprinkled all over the pie. What I didn't like was how the vegetables- jalapeños, tomatoes, and spring mix wasn't cooked. The manager (I think) was the one who took our order. The coal fire pizza made the crust crispy but still was fluffy. I ordered a margarita to drink and it was very mediocre and tasted like it was straight out of a store bough bottle. Overall the food here was amazing and service was quick for it being so packed and a small restaurant. The drinks could be better though. Great spot for late night pizza! Gluten free crust was incredible and they did not skimp out on the meat.

The girl behind the bar -- dark hair, short height -- refused to let me use the restroom when I was picking up my order. She said "it's for customers only" so I told her "I'm picking up as a customer, so I am a customer" and she responded "sorry, no" .... I said "the owner would definitely allow me to", she responded "he made the rule"..... so, I've never left a negative review before, but this REALLLLLYYYY annoyed me so here I am, with a negative review, cause whoever told her a customer picking up food isn't allowed to go pee, needs to learn human decency.
