This was the only place open near my hotel in New Orleans and I found the best pizza!!! I took a chance and placed an online order at 10:30pm on a Wednesday. It was walking distance and easy to find. It was pretty busy and I can see why. It appeared the people in there were locals. That's typically a good sign! Also a dive bar style. I got the small shrimp pizza and it was plenty big to share with 2 people. Especially with their crust and you actually want to eat it! I was shocked how good. Great Pizza unfriendly Service. We've eaten everything in the French quarter for the last week and we needed a pizza. We looked up and found pizza Luna, and ordered for carry-out a sausage, onion and green pepper pizza. The pizza was excellent crust was done perfectly. The flavors melted well..... I really liked their pizza. When I arrive to pick up the pizza, the person behind the counter didn't acknowledge my presence. When I arrived, when she did look up, I told her I'm here to pick up a pizza with my name. She didn't even say welcome or anything. She just turned, walked over grabbed the pizza off the shelf without any acknowledgment, and placed it on the counter in front of me still without saying anything. I then ask for some sprinkle cheese, and she started to hand me the glass Sprinkle cheese shaker .... I looked at her and asked I need this "to-go", she turned and walked into the kitchen and came back with a plastic container... and placed it on top of the pizza box. Still not saying anything, ....she didn't put it in a bag, so I could easily carry it. I pointed out my arms is in a cast.... Kind of obvious that I'm a one armed paper hanger. She and I looked at each other , and she offered to put it in the pizza box, however, it was already taped shut with stickers..... and I did not want to lose what little heat was remaining in the box, (I had a15 min walk back to the hotel) so as my irritation was growing, I picked up the box and walked out. I'm surprised at the lack of interpersonal communication.. I was taught that pleasantly customer service goes a long way. Start with a friendly greeting... (even if you really don't care). And I believe they will have better customer experiences.....Somebody needs to work with the staff. Would I order a pizza again? Probably, it was a very good pizza....but my expectations of customer service will be low. read more

We were in town for a couple of nights and I was looking around for gluten free foods. This pizza place showed up and had great reviews. It was in walking distance from our hotel so here we are. The restaurant is off of Canal Street and I would describe it as rustic. It had a bar in the back and I noticed they were busy with orders being picked up. We were there on a Wednesday evening and there were a few parties dining inside. We felt welcomed from when we arrived until we departed. We ordered just a large pizza and a drink. I thought the prices were pretty good and as usual, there was an extra charge for the gluten free crust. Knowing we were going to be taking leftover pizza back with us (breakfast) we didn't have room to try anything else off the menu. As reported in other Yelp reviews, the pizza was excellent. The crust was crispy and the ample toppings of sausage, pepperoni, diced ham, green peppers, onion, mushroom and olives melded well together. I enjoyed the leftovers for breakfast and lunch. I almost wished I was able to order another one before we left, to take with me, but we couldn't stick around to wait for them to open. When visiting next time I would definitely check Pizza Luna out for another go and maybe figure out how to order to go when leaving. Maybe they do mail orders? read more

Such a cute pizzeria, located in the smack-middle of nowhere. It was soo good we went 3 times during our weekly visit. We order the Margherita pizza and it was a good enough size to share for 2 at 12 AM. Wine by the glass was also a decent price and paired well with the pizza. My husband and I are visiting from Savannah, GA. We went in for lunch Saturday afternoon to escape the rain. The atmosphere is very cute and relax. Servers were nice and attentive. This is a decent late-night pizza spot! The city has very few late night options, and Pizza Luna stays open until 3am and is conveniently located on the outskirts of the CBD. I called my order in, and in my short 10min drive over, it was ready. From what I saw on a Friday night, they stay pretty busy, so it seems like they have a good system going on. I'd say that the pizza is your average, around the way pie. The cheese isn't real mozzarella and the toppings aren't "premium", but it works and I appreciate the option! I am so glad that I took the advice of the hotel staff. This pizza was amazing. We were actually staying next to a pizza restaurant that had a line out of the door and down the sidewalk. I wad told that it was made viral by an influencer. I was also told that the pizza was ok. They advised us to go down the street to Luna Pizza...best advice ever! This pizza was absolutely amazing! This has been my favorite pizza spot in New Orleans for a while, and coming back only confirmed it. The pizza is incredible (easily the best in the city) and the calzone is just as good. The ambiance is cozy, but very cramped. It's part of the charm, but you definitely need to be prepared. Service has always been friendly and efficient, even when the place is packed. My only real complaint: they don't take reservations or waitlists. Not taking reservations is one thing, but having no waitlist at all feels a little outdated, especially with how busy they get. So for tables it's truly first come first serve. Still -- amazing food, great vibe, and absolutely worth coming back. read more

Great late night spot! The pizza is super cheesy and honestly underrated. They have lots of options too, and the wings are really good and so are the fries. I do wish they had more beer options but they have enough. I'm just more of an IPA kind of girl and they only have one or two to choose from. Service was really great as well, especially for being 10 o'clock at night. Our server was Sohil - super nice and attentive but not annoying. He even boxed our food for us! I can't remember the last time I went to a restaurant and they boxed my to go food for me. I will be coming back here. The garlic balance was spot on and paired really well with the slightly sweet sauce. Plenty of cheese without being overwhelming. Service was excellent too: attentive without hovering, and always there right when we needed a refill or a box. Went to this pizza joint since it was highly recommended by a couple locals and also Google. They have a huge collection of speciality pizzas. We ended up splitting the taco pizza. I found it interesting it had refried beans and pretty good tasting taco meat. It was cool it had sour cream sauce sprinkled all over the pie. What I didn't like was how the vegetables- jalapeños, tomatoes, and spring mix wasn't cooked. The manager (I think) was the one who took our order. He was super quick and helpful with helping us choose our options. The guy was also very pleasant to chat with. He was from Turkey and we had a great conversation about that country. read more

The Caesar salad was delicious and my friend really enjoyed the wings. The pizza was just okay.
