Ordered a pizza for delivery along with a Caesar salad. I understand that delivery issues aren't necessarily the restaurant's fault, but we're only two blocks away and the pizza arrived cold. The Caesar salad had somewhat wilted romaine, and I had to chop it up myself to make it easier to eat. We also ordered two Margherita pizzas, and both could have used more cheese. They had several leaves of basil but no tomatoes, which, in my opinion, doesn't really qualify as a traditional Margherita pizza. Ambiance is wonderful in this very different little pizza bistro. Service was fantastic, again went at an off time, so it should have been. We had a white pizza with 5 different cheeses. They all appeared to be freshly grated and tasted as such. The only problem I had was when offered sauce to dip the white pizza in, it seemed to be tomato sauce. Not sure if that is their sauce for regular pizza. There was not one spice in it. So torn on the recommendation. Margot's has exceptional pizza, yummy drinks and a very friendly staff. It's a short walk on Frenchmen Street from the busy parts of the Marigny, but it has more of a lowkey, neighborhoody feel. We loved the Pizza Bianca and the Puttanesca and the salads are also excellent. It just feels good to be there. It's become a staple on my visits to New Orleans. read more

I've been saying for some time that New Orleans is one of the best pizza cities, and Margot's reinforces that statement. Sourdough pizza at its finest! So far I've had the Bianca, Supremo and the Puttanesca, and they are da . The Caesar salad using whole crisp leaves, with shredded pecorino Romano with a cream sauce with a hint of lemon. It's pairs so perfectly with the pizza, really makes it the perfect experience. The house salad was also exceptional, really enjoyed the buttermilk dressing and shredded dill. What I really love about Margot's is the venue itself. The owner lives upstairs in a super trendy neighborhood on Frenchman street in the 7th ward. The entire block is comprised of all theae beautiful Nola homes, all unique and beautiful. I've been in New Orleans for 12 years now, and Margot's gives me the vibe I used to get when I first got here. When you find this place you feel like you found something special. Ate here on the first and it is a fantastic neighborhood spot with above average Pizza. We ordered a Margherita with extra basil and garlic and it was very good, a mushroom (Fungus Among Us) and it was outstanding, not a Pepperoni pizza fan but that was excellent as well as were the cocktails. The Pepperoni was on half the pizza, the other half was Bianca which I did not try. Service was friendly and efficient and the value was great. Nice smallish space with a good vibe. I'm kicking myself for forgetting to take photos of the food at Margot's. It's probably because everything looked so good that we just couldn't wait to dig in. We went on a Friday evening and were seated with water immediately. The waiter was so kind and fun, we talked about how friendly he was the rest of the weekend. We ordered the burrata and shishito peppers for the appetizers and wow were they beyond incredible! The burrata was so cold and creamy, spreading it on the sourdough was so delicious. Next, we ordered the Don Quixote, Bianca, and Fungus Among Us pizzas. Everything was beyond our expectations (and after the appetizers, our expectations were pretty high.) The pizzas came out hot, quickly, and loaded with toppings. The crust was thin and crunchy and getting a variety of pizzas to share was a great decision that I'd recommend you make too. This was a place I often wished for when I was in New Orleans: an upscale pizza with a bit of creativity. The location here is embedded in a residential area that was not my side of the city; the sort of place you'd think twice before trying to walk to from the French Quarter. Then again, it seemed like many locals who knew each other were wandering by. Inside, it is a small place with a splendid upbeat atmosphere (albeit only one very crowded bathroom). Ordering a salad yielded a delectable buttermilk dressing with fresh dill, that offered a burst of flavor in every bite. To my margherita pizza I added pepperoncini; these are pickled peppers with mild heat, and here they were cooked with the pizza, added just a bit of extra flavor kick without detracting from the other ingredients (a problem I occasionally have had when pickled peppers are overdone on pizzas). The char of their crust is quite splendid, and it was a light pizza that didn't last long in front of me. The oven looked right for Neapolitan pizza, and the taste was right too. I was a bit sad they didn't have the brussels sprout pizza other reviewers got, but I guess their menu shifts with produce availability, and there's nothing wrong with that. read more

The pizza dough is the perfect texture and the burrata starter is surprisingly refreshing on more humid days. The drinks are also all top tier. I am from the Dave Portnoy school of pizza. I grew up on New York thin crust slices. Then went to college in the absolute pizza capital of the world ..New Haven. Feasting in Frank Pepe, Sally's and Modern. The benchmark by which all great pizza is judged. Margots is nothing at all like New York or New Haven pizza. It is for me too doughy, too cheesy and not well done enough to fully enjoy. It does have redeeming qualities. The ingredients are all first rate. The red sauce is a tad overpowering, but there is a flavor explosion that can't be denied. By my third slice I had had enough. There were some nice char bubbles to keep me interested, but I will not be searching out this pizza for a second chance. read more

Wood-fired pizza GREATNESS. Such a cute little neighborhood spot with super tasty pizza. The thin, chewy, and slightly charred crust made for the perfect pie. I got the pepperoni and added onions for crunch and pepperonis for some acidity. The ceaser salad was fresh and loaded with parm...yum. Cute neighborhood restaurant with a small menu consisting of pizza and salad along with an interesting wine and cocktail list. I ordered to go and the process was smooth, staff was friendly and attentive, pizza is very good. The restaurant itself is smaller about 13 bar stools and probably 15 tables. It's likely a bit off the beaten path for visitors but just a few block walk from where I live. I'll be back again for sure. We checked out Margot's on a Saturday night around 6pm, and even though they had just filled up ( they have about 8-10 tables and a bar that seats 8) our wait was only about 15 min. We took a nice stroll around the neighborhood. We were greeted by the owner's wife who was helping out and the owner was behind the bar the whole time mixing drinks. The service was friendly and the owner made me a delicious mocktail, in addition to 2 cocktails for my friends that were equally delicious and well balanced (the passion fruit gimlet and spicy marg..the spick on the rim packs a punch) I love a good artisan pizza at a reasonable price (all under $15) and this did not disappoint. We stayed relatively safe ordering the margherita and supremo. You know a place if good if they get the classics right and they sure did, that sourdough crust is perfection. Best pizza in New Orleans!! The marinated mushroom was insane, they were wild foraged from Baton Rouge. Decor is perfect, comfortable. Minimal, modern and a view of the pizza oven. Cavatelli pizza with shaved brussel sprouts is one of the best pizzas I've had - definitely top 10 and I've had the best in Brooklyn. We decided to play it safe with the margarita but it was not nearly as good as the cavatelli, middle of pizza was soggy and fell apart which made it hard to eat but still tasty. We wanted to try the pizza with curried yogurt and mushrooms but were too scared to take the leap - definitely next time ;) let me not forget about the drinks!!! I tried the drink with negroni? and it was good, smooth but not what I expected. Excellent pizza, some of the the best in the city. There are a few other favorites of mine like Zees, Delicious, or Ancora which are all great but for me this one takes the cake. Everything tasted fresh and the Service was great. Despite there being no room at the bar the host let us take some drinks outside while we waited for our table.
