Needed a late night snack and this slice of cheese totally hit the spot! I love a good floppy new york style slice with lots of cheese. Only neg- the staff were painfully slow doing everything. People kept walking away from the line because they were so aggravated. There seemed to be no organization or systems to how the staff take orders and even the cc machine was insanely slow. They'd make a lot more money if they could be much faster. For the pizza I recommend it- but just don't be in a hurry read more

Yelp description is completely wrong for this place! They do not serve breakfast or brunch. This is in the food court in the Caesar's casino. They serve slices of pizza, slices of cake, and cannolis. That's it!! I had a greasy slice of pepperoni and the cheese, crust and pepperoni were all good quality and fresh. Tasty slice. I had a couple bites of a cannoli. It was bland. I'm not a big cannoli fan, so it would take a lot for one to WOW me. I would return for another slice of pizza!! read more

The ONLY highlight of a recent NY trip was the pizza. No wonder the pizza was a hit with "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" haha. I've been ordering "New York Style Pizza" from local places but it isn't the same. Pizzacake provides my fix and is only a couple of hours away. I had "The Boss" and the "Chicken Bacon Alfredo" slices. Pizzacake also provides a variety of desserts. The Canoli Cheescake delicious. Ordering is unorganized. You have to place your order at the register but the registers are located past the display case. I had to walk back a couple of times for the proper names of items. Luckily there weren't many customers. Pizzacake also has convenient exit/entrance to Poydras St. read more

I watched my friends eat a ton of cheese pizza slices one night and had to wait for my chance to get something to eat from there. I got my chance and got two slices of pepperoni and cheese. It was damn good new york style pizza to be found in New Orleans. I was happy they had oregano to make my pizza optimized for higher gusto. Definitely enjoy the pizza and grab a beer if you are with a group of guys. They did not disappoint. read more

Terrible Customer Service. We were told by the people making the pizza they were actively making a new pizza that ran out. When the we told the Nigerian person taking the orders, we would like to wait on the new pizza he told me to "Get the Fuck Out of his Line." He then proceeded to tell the other employees to not sell us the pizza we were looking for. 1 employee(pizza maker) was left servicing customers for 15 minutes. We waited 30 minutes for them to tell us they were no longer making that pizza and not serve us. Employee are slow and have no customer service. They require better training. read more

I feel guilty leaving this review because we were there opening weekend a couple of months ago, and it was totally delicious. We were starving after marching in a parade and made our way to Pizza Cake. One of the owners appeared to be there overseeing everything and the line went smoothly. We ordered a whole pepperoni pizza and several pastries. The pizza came out after about 15 minutes and was amazing. Tons of flavor, loaded with roni cups. Crust was chewy and fresh. Served intact, in a pizza box. The pastries were fresh also. We left happy and I talked up my experience at Pizza Cake to a ton of people. Fast forward to last weekend. Went with 5 other people intending to order a whole pizza again. They agreed, and after a considerable wait, presented us with 2 boxes. Puzzled, we opened them up and discovered that what they had done was cut up slices and put a bunch of individual slices haphazardly into boxes. The crust tasted nothing like it did on opening weekend. The pepperoni and cheese were okay. It was a completely different experience this time around, and not for the better. I had a peanut butter cannoli that was good. Employees were not very friendly. I can't recommend this place any longer and I'm disappointed it went downhill so quickly in such a short period of time. read more

Didn't expect to stumble upon this gem but thanks to the Cesar's casino employees direction, pizza cake was a short fun adventure to get to. It cracked me up to see the advertisement and had to see it through. I was psyched it wasn't just a cake vending machine like what I had in mind. This location was just right, neighboring other food spots to try. I had my eyes on the lobster tail and we also got to try the peanut butter cookie cake slice! We needed food at the hotel and stopped here frequently 1) the employees were always funny and engaging. Big plus for me considering it's more like a cafeteria than a restaurant 2) I got the Buffalo chicken pizza once and it was delicious. Just the right crisp, heat, and the Alfredo sauce was yum 3) I got a lobster tail when I wasn't feeling well and it was absolutely delicious It is a bit pricey for the cost and that school cafe vibe stinks. 2 stars bc at least the pizza isn't terrible but the service? Trash. I understand it's Christmas and you don't want to work on Christmas but you took the job so now deal with it. The girl seriously looked and acted as if she didn't want to work. The price was wrong on the beer also and she's like 'oh well.' Great place to stop and have a large slice of good pizza. Clean, roomy and convenient while your taking a break from the casino at Harrah's. You order at the counter do the service is good and quick. I'll be honest though the cheesecake was a disappointment it was more of a 3 star, since it's Carlo's I was supper excited to have a 5 star treat. Maybe next visit I'll try a different dessert. Hi, welcome to Pizza Cake, will you be dining in today? Instead.. what? No, we can't make a pizza they be frozen. Your menu says pizza??? So. Then you look in the case at that old pizza and horrible frozen deserts. Everything here is frozen and so over priced. Cake Boss frozen old cakes! Caesars has missed the mark on this horrible food court. The service is ghetto AF. It's as if they pick these people up at the bus station and just throw them behind the counter. I will never go back to this place. Most locals have abandoned this place in droves. Do yourself a favor, walk out of here and walk down the street and get some real food with real New Orleans service. Caesars took everything great about our Nola themed casino and beige washed it to look like a terrible strip mall casino. Let me say this, do yourself a favor and hire people who care about our community and our tourists alike. Maybe pay more and hire older people who have home training. Yes so over all the entire experience at this casino is great. But when it comes time to eat at Pizza Cake, the person whom order is a biggg pizza lover regardless of state and city. We travel for these reasons..., why the attitude? The gentlemen working with her seem polite, and understanding....like if you don't want to be here then quit. We from along the coast and several diffrent states to come check out these beautiful businesses. And have a GREAT CHRISTMAS EXPERIENCE!! but i notice this woman getting attitude about a item with my significant other whose NOT to be toyed with in the line of food service or fine dining Michelin star. Stumbled upon this place last night when we were walking through the Casino and wanted a bite, we went in with little expectations but were pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately they were closed but after speaking with the manager, Jazzie, we were able to come to an agreement and purchase the last of their pizzas. I've never gotten a wrong order from them and I've ordered many times since I've discovered them in the past 1-2years. I even order on Uber Eats occasionally and call them to make my pizza light sauce and they accept the request! The workers are always very nice and personable. It's a cute little place with both inside and outside seating. You can definitely do a solo date or come with a couple friends and enjoy some good food

Longer: So I was a little hesitant to go to CDM, because it's such the tourist stop and the first joint anyone mentions when they say "beignet". But this was our first stop, morning of first day. The beignets are piled in sugar, they are warm, crunchy and crisp on the outside and soft, warm and delicate inside. I gotta tell you, the texture is just a little different than Cafe Beignet, the Four Seasons, and even the other CDM in the park we tried a few days later. To me, this is the best one. Now, as a coffee person, their black coffee is strong, rich, and a good compliment to the real show - the beignets. But I did not pick up on nearly as much chicory in their chicory coffee as, say, Cafe Beignet's version. Also, I have to let you know the other location in the big park serves a non-chicory version (in addition to NOLA chicory) that is head and shoulders the best coffee we had in New Orleans. But this is the joint. As a bonus, it's colorful, has consistently great street musicians, and has lots of walkable sites as you struggle to waddle around after too many beignets. Gotta go!
