I had some time to kill (and appetite to satisfy) before the LG Wine Walk a couple of weekends ago, so stopped by Pizza My Heart in DT Los Gatos. I'd been to other locations and always liked the pizza, so thought I'd try this one out. Their logo and "Hard Rock Cafe" type branding of having the city below the logo on merch always struck me as kind of cool. So I wanted to grab a t-shirt at some point, and their $8 special for both the t-shirt and a slice of pizza (which runs $6-7 by itself) is such a great deal, I decided to pull the trigger the day I was here (it was also colder, so I wanted an undershirt to wear under my other shirt). The pizza was very good (veggie) like I've had at other locations, and the shirt is pretty thick and all cotton. Service was friendly enough - young workers who are casual and not overly attentive, but responsive enough. :D Happy to have several of these in the area, and this location is convenient and food quality is on point. read more

First time visiting this Pizza My Heart location. A public parking lot is behind the restaurant. Also there is metered street parking. A nice cozy atmosphere inside. Came here yesterday early afternoon for a pick up order, the slices were really good and for a smaller quaint location it was a really nice enviroment and the two counter associates were super friendly , informative and efficient. Came in for a quick slice of pizza on my lunch. Very fast and good, they warmed it up fresh but was in and out of there in less than 10 min. If that's all you have or on a short time, recommend this place! It can get busy with school kids but that's to be expected with pizza places. read more

This was my first time at this particular pizza, my heart, and as I walked in, I was really looking forward to having a pizza slice and a beer. As I ordered a slice of the Vegetarian when I got to the register, I asked what beers they had on tap and the gentlemen said that they don't serve beer, but they had soda. Not want to drink soda because it's too sweet for me, so I just got up and it was fresh, crispy with veggies and delicious. My pizza was heating up in their oven, I asked if there was a restroom and the gentleman gave me four digit code for the bathroom. I was surprised the bathroom was a communal bathroom for everybody in the particular building complex. Sadly, when I got into the bathroom, somebody smoked weed in there, and it looked like they scraped out the remnants into the sink! The bathroom stunk of weed , but at least I was able to wash my hands before I ate pizza. I'm not sure if I'll come back to this pizza because I wanted pizza and a beer, but maybe I'll do takeout and then go to the Tap room at the corner. Hee. read more

The BBQ pizza was fine, but this has got to be the dirtiest Pizza My Heart I've ever been to. Almost every booth inside had a dirty napkin left on the seat or oil stains on it. The bathroom was also not the cleanest and had used paper towels in the sink. read more

Hands down, best gluten and dairy free pepperoni pizza I've ever had. Their gluten-free crust is so good and it makes me feel like I am not missing out. The flavor and texture are great. I also love that they use Miyokos vegan mozzarella because it is so tasty and way better than other vegan cheeses I've tried. Their pepperoni is delicious. Service is always good and they're super nice and helpful. Ordered takeout and took 10-15 minutes before I got my hot and delicious pizza. They said they won't allow me to order slices over the phone because they can't guarantee me the slices I want and can't afford to make a new pizza just for the slices?!? WTF? Where can you go for $15 Pizza Slice Salad and Drink and the prices have not increased. To top it off Big Sur is my favorite slice. It's cooked to perfection by the kind cashier who reminded me to get dressing. You know what else rocjs? Extra sides of kalamatta olives to add to my salad and Spice Bomb and Shark hot sauce. I order doordash. My expectations are low as far as temperature and texture. It delivery I get it. The topping on this slice were non existent. It the manresa and usually comes with dollops of ricotta idk if you can tell in the picture but the ricotta is maybe the size of a penny and barley a smear it's more like a tomato pizza. 2 stars for the big sur slice being good. read more

Pizza My Heart is great when you feel like pizza, but don't want a whole pie; they sell many different kinds by the slice. The pizza slices are precooked and displayed in a glass case. You just choose which one you like and then they pop it in the oven for a few minutes and then a delicious pizza slice is ready for you to enjoy. We were here on a Los Gatos Promenade night and, while there was a crowd, the line went very quickly. We just had to wait a few minutes for our turn to choose our slice type, and then another few minutes to pay for it. By the time we paid, the slices were ready. Efficient and tasty. Had a wonderful experience here last night - wasn't sure what to expect given the slew of recent negative reviews targeting a certain manager at this location. To be fair, despite having been here all of my life - I'd never really eaten at PMH. I'd eaten at other chains like Pizza Hut and Patxi's and Blue Line and always figured that PMH was a lower tier to those. But alas, as I grew up, my tastes changed and I began to value quality over quantity (losing weight isnt so easy as the age sets in) and the people around me began to do so as well. Figured that PMH being able to outlast the tens of Pizza Huts that have come and gone and the trend spike/then subsequent dip of the Amici's in the Bay Area probably meant that they're doing something right - as their price range fits nicely in between the cheap $10 pizza of fast food pizza and the expensive $30+ a pie from the top end like Amici's. Ordered a Watsonville and a Figgy Piggy and was blown away at how good it was. The 4-5 staff working last night were warm and incredibly friendly - for a moment you could have forgotten this was COVID. They were cheery, hardworking, and the enthusiasm and teamwork and positive energy on display was just something I haven't seen in a loooong time here. A really wonderful lady handed me my two boxes quickly on pickup and you could get a strong feeling gut that hey, people here care about serving folks right. They care about the food. Sure enough, this made us forget completely about Patxi's pizza that had been SO disappointing for us (see my other review) the prior night. The pizza is crispy, crunchy, light, bubbly and just packed full of fresh ingredients and flavor combos that you don't get anywhere else. Freshness here is really no joke - when you're putting apple slices and beautiful fresh ripe cut figs onto pizza like they do...there are no shortcuts in preparation and cooking and it shows. The figs were delicious and caramelized with their natural sugars but not overdone where the skin turns into hard plastic, the bacon (jeeesus) was fresh fried and cut (not your wholesale bacon bits in a bag) and the apples were good enough to be eaten on their own (still with a bite but enough cooking to make it half tender). The pizza is light, not dense or heavy or greasy like deep dish and 1-3 slices will fill you up in the right ways. Consider us a converted fan and frequent supporter! PMH will be our place of choice over Patxi's Blue Line, and the Hut/Domino's for the foreseeable future. read more

Best pizza ever! There is nothing else you can say about PMH (but I will try). They have several locations in the Santa Cruz area, each with a different ambiance but all with the same great pizza. The location in Capitola Village doesn't have inside seating but you can take your pizza to the beach. The location on 41st has comfortable booths and is always very clean. The location on the Pacific Garden Mall has a fun, surf-focused feel. They make whole pies and serve by the slice. It's nice to find a place that serves slices because everyone can get something to their liking instead of having to compromise when you get a whole pie. They also have rotating specials so you can try different concoctions every day of the week. They have a great rewards system where you can get a free soda, salad, or slice based on the number of slices you buy. read more

I absolutely love this place. I have grown up in Los Gatos my whole life, and this is such a South Bay staple. The slices are incredibly large, the people are so friendly, and it is such a Santa Cruz vibe of laid-back, welcoming, and friendly. I have tried several different pizza slices here, but my favorite is either the pepperoni or the Manressa. If they do not have a slice that you want, they will make an entire pie just to give you one slice even though it will take some time. This was definitely the middle school and high school hang out spot, but also great for families! I love everyone who works here as they have such a positive and smiling attitude. Not to mention the quality of the pizza is on par and you can have as many dipping's/dressings as you want for free. read more

I was so disappointed. I came here last year to celebrate my birthday and it was really good. I came again this year and ordered exactly the same two pizzas plus I added the cheese bread and the chocolate chip cookie. This year was completely different. The pizza was so over baked that the crust was too chewy and tough to eat, it was overpoweringly salty and the meat tasted bad. The cookie was under-mixed so there were pockets of flour. Every PMH seems to employ very down-to-earth, helpful people and this location is no exception. Customer service is super nice. This location is small and parking can be difficult in downtown Los Gatos but it's worth it. The pizza is delicious and there is something for everyone.
