I'm a big fan of the Pizza My Heart chain. They have great pizza, interesting flavors, and nice clean restaurants. This location is no exception. I stopped in for lunch and bought a chicken bacon slice and some breadsticks. The chicken bacon pizza was loaded with toppings, had great flavor, and a nice crisp crust. My order of breadsticks was HUGE, and came with a fresh marinara sauce and a delicious pesto ranch sauce for dipping. I'm definitely ordering that pesto ranch again. The dining room was clean and the employees were great. There was even a guy behind the counter hand tossing pizza dough! He was an expert and it was fun to watch. Very warm and well mannered staff, they receive you with respect and they even say thank you on your way out of the store. The store is clean, well stocked, and organized. The pizzas are fairly made well and they are not stingy in giving parmesan, chili flakes etc. Salute to the female staff making the pizza and the nice male cashier. I ordered 2 pizzas to be delivered tonight: 1 large vegetarian and 1 large pesto. I then asked if I could make the pesto half pesto and half meat. No problem. I was told it would be 30-45 minutes. That either was the quickest half hour or our party was having too much fun, because before we knew it our pizza arrived. Problem: no vegetarian arrived. So, I called Pizza My Heart to inquire about the missing pizza. Apparently, when I asked for the half and half it must have thrown off the person taking the order (I guess the order should have been read back or I should have checked). I've been here a few times. It is sort of a "satellite" store compared to the other PMH that I've been to. Because of some other Yelp reviews, I was not expecting a lot, but was super pleased with this visit. I come here with my 97yo mom. I'm 69yo myself, and don't have the young man appetite so much. As a result, we both get a slice instead of a whole pizza and call it a dinner. Other times were OK, but this last visit was superior. The two slices were cooked perfectly. The crust bottoms were crisply, as if they came out of a brick oven in Naples. The toppings were spot on and we were served quickly. I like this place and will continue to use it to give my mom a break from the decent, but repetitive, food she gets in her assisted care place. read more

Horrible customer service! We came in today around 4 and the lady in black serving pizza was rude. She snapped when she asked how many slices we were going to wait for and sounded bothered by having to make another pizza. My FIRST time trying Pizza My Heart, EVER! I've been meaning to try Pizza My Heart for the longest time. There were many fundraisers for it when I was still in Junior High and High school, but I never got the chance to go. So BOYYY was I excited, I've heard so many good things about it too! My sister and I ordered the Pesto pizza and the Sausage & Pepperoni pizza. My sister said that they used to have their hot sauce bottles at the tables but because of COVID, I believe they removed them. Not a problem, I asked for some sauce when I went to pick up our pizzas. There were two different hot sauces, a green and a red one. PESTO PIZZA: 10/10 I LOVE PESTO. I've never had it on my pizza but it was so BOMB. Also, with the hot sauce? DELISH No complaints. The driver never appeared, and confirmed he had "handed me the order". On calling the restaurant, they immediately cancelled the order, but the best they would offer service-wise was a refund to my card in 7-10 business days!! And offered to make a new order, at full price, which would be delivered in another 45-60 minutes. Until they figure out how to actually deliver something, I won't be using them again. My niece is an EXTREMELY picky eater, to the point where, even if we do have the food, she likes a lot of the time she decides she doesn't want it and can go most of the day without even eating. So when we were at the restaurant for my parent's 37th anniversary there was noway my niece was going to eat the food from that restaurant. Even though it was good food. My niece is autistic so for any of you out there and know how hard it is to get autistic children to eat food,you understand. He suggested bringing her pepperoni pizza from 'Pizza My Heart' My niece also wears headphones when she's out and listens to music. She got her Pizza, but as usual, she was ignoring it for what was going on,on her phone, so her mom had to feed the first bite to her. That little girl started dancing and eating her pizza and ate it so fast we were all laughing she LOVED IT! We worry about her eating, so was really nice for us to all see her enjoying a good meal. We Love that Pizza My Heart has Beyond Italian sausage, Field Roast pepperoni and Miyoko's creamery mozzarella! They offer 3 vegan pizzas: The mt diablo, Vegan sur and the mendecino. They also have 13 vegetarian pizzas that can be veganized since they offer Miyoko's mozza as an alternative. You could also build your own pizza and choose whatever you want. They offer pizza by the slice or whole pizzas. We ordered the vegan sur and pesto with Miyoko's mozza instead of Parmesan. I realllly enjoyed the pesto pizza - it was so flavorful! I think some grape tomatoes on it next time would be great. The vegan sur was good too. Tasted like a typical meaty/hearty pizza. I felt like it was missing an element and slightly lacking flavor. The fresh pizzas here are yummy! The customer service at this location is terrible. Employees really need to learn how to give good customer service. Every time I come with a group the workers are very attitudy. There was only one worker that was actually friendly and she had cute cat ears. Maybe the other employees can learn from her. (I can't stand a lukewarm piece of pizza.) I have no idea the name of the pizza slice I chose. I just looked at the pizza slices available and pointed at the one that called to me! He called me and asked if I had another address. Umm like wtf no... lol When I got my pizza, luckily it was still hot. First off, the seal on the top pizza seemed to be tampered with and wasn't sealed properly... sus The "slices" were not consistent. Some bigger than the other. Part of the crust on the pizza was fine, while the other pizza was obviously burnt. I got the Dlex chicken bacon 12" ($19.50) and Big Sur 12" ($19.50). This is one of our all-time favorite pizza place with the Big Sur (his) and Fort Point (hers) must-try pizzas! This particular location was clean, had very nice decor (copper-inlaid tables, sturdy wood chairs, flat screen TVs, etc), and easy PARKING! *The closest location to home for us is in Emeryville, and parking is a headache. The Fort Point for me, was as good as I remember! Red sauce and pesto combined, fresh ricotta, chicken, sausage...artichoke hearts, sliced tomatoes, fresh basil... crispy crust with oregano?Yum! Went in on a Friday night only to be disappointed with pizza that had been out for an hour. No selection of the popular pizza's and if I wanted pesto or fresh pep I would have to wait 20-30 minutes. Looks like they were waiting for the last of the last to sell out. Sad to see this pizza place with not so great presentation. Since this is the second time in a row we've been given burnt pizza, I felt it necessary to write a review. Last two times, my family ordered the same thing: one large pizza with mushrooms and one large cheese pizza. Both times, the mushroom pizza was good but the plain cheese pie was severely burnt on the bottom. Instead of throwing them out, we ate around the pizza, as in picked off the cheese and completely tossed out most of the crust which were very burnt and inedible. If you want fast pizza that's a tad bit overpriced, this is the place to go. I've always enjoyed their Maui Wowie pizza, ever since I was a little kid. It's sweet but savory at the same time. Out of their salads, the Greek is definitely a favorite. I love the bitterness of the olives and tend to mix up the dressings to whatever I'm feeling that day. With a combo, it's about ~12$ so it's better to get that instead of a single slice and a salad, because the drink is pretty much free. I have frequented this Pizza My Heart locations many times throughout the years and it always hits the spot when it comes to my pizza cravings! The way it goes is usually you walk in and there pizza slices behind the glass counter that you can choose from. They heat it up and give you the pizza in a frisbee which is pretty cool. My favorite slices are always: * Pesto Pizza - some cheesy goodness with bomb pesto sauce - how could you not want this? This is my overall fave slice and i always order this when I go. This is my 2nd review of this Pizza My heart location. I've been a customer for over 10 years, unfortunately I'm motivated to write when I have a really bad experience. To be fair on occasion I've had some good pizza from this location and mostly average pizza. This most recent experience was my worst by far. I ordered a small well-done cheese pizza, simple easy order. I prefer well-done or crispy as I think Pizza My Heart in general undercooks their pizza and it's much better when made crispy. I made the mistake of not checking the pizza before I left the restaurant, the Pizza I received was the opposite of what I wanted, it was way undercooked the crust was still doughy mushy inside and inedible. It was also way over-sauced. The sauce they use is a sun-dried tomato sauce and it should be used lightly on Pizza (normally it is) as it has a very tangy taste. Over-saucing with this type of sauce ruins the Pizza. Since it was a rainy night and I didn't want to drive all the way back to complain, I tried cooking it a bit more at home. Unfortunately, it didn't help and was still inedible. Not a cheap Pizza either, it will be a longtime before I'm willing to risk giving them my money again. Part of the problem is that they have a constantly rotating group of kids in there and some have no clue what they're doing, or don't really give a ... about the quality of the pizza. I understand that help is going to change, but ensuring that they know what they're doing before they touch anyone's Pizza is fairly important to a business like that, otherwise you lose customers like me. read more

I'Ve been a PMH customer since it was one little hole in the wall on the Capitola esplanade and always liked them. Lately I've been in this area and stopped by a number of times, and for the first times ever was disappointed. They quit making my favorite, the Prima, but the problem here is the pizza is just not good. PMH was always the best due to the great dough and sauce, but this location does just not get it right. every slice I have had here is just a mush ball of soggy dough, not that perfect texture needed for a great pizza, and with that the dough flavor is lost. There is also something off on the sauce, maybe cause it is lost in the mush of dough, or maybe they haVe changed the recipe or ingredients. Sad when something you take as the standard for 40 years declines to the point I would rather go to Panda Express next door for a quick meal. read more

They delivered part of my order wrong; they charged me for chicken caesar salads (I ordered), but delivered basic caesar salads. The salads went straight to the fridge. I ordered delivery the night prior & they were closed when I noticed. The next day I went there after work (live very close) & brought the incorrect salads (fully intact) & told the employee what happened. After the obese employee behind the counter looked at my receipt, he said no. I said okay how does that work?
