We stopped here before headed to Walk for Peace at Lake Cunningham. It was a good idea to stop by to grab some refreshing drinks. This is the first time trying the desserts. I enjoyed my durian desserts. It was good, I'm not a fan of a lot of jellies in my drinks. I liked how it was made with coconut milk, durian, and jellies. I just would like my drink to be thicker and less jellies. But, it was still delicious. My sis ordered a Milo drink and wasn't a fan of it. My other sis got a strawberry matcha. She had no complaints. My mom enjoyed her taro dessert but wasn't a fan of the taro, durian, and salted egg. I thought it was overly sweet for my taste. If you love durian, you have to try this spot. They have a bunch of different durian desserts and we went with the durian crepes. It's thin crepes filled with light whipped cream and real durian. The cream isn't too sweet, which balances the strong durian flavor really nicely. I just wish there was a higher durian to cream ratio. There's plenty of seating and you order at the counter. My friend suggested this bakery. I tried the sweet potato mochi bread and egg coffee! The sweet potato mochi bread was good. It was the perfect amount of sweetness with sweet potato filling and the mochi is in the very middle. I wasn't too excited about the egg coffee. I've had better egg coffee elsewhere. I'm not sure what was missing but the flavor just seemed off to me. I feel that most egg coffees are creamier, but this just felt like a Vietnamese coffee. The wait was unexpectedly long. This is my second time getting the Durian Madness. The drink is good since it's not too sweet and includes real pieces of durian. The only problem is the sago because it's inconsistent. Some are cooked all the way while others aren't, which makes it difficult to chew. That's the worst part of the drink so I hope they make some changes to make it more consistent. read more

I've heard a lot of good things about the durian dessert at this place and have tried a bite from a friend's purchase and it was bombbbb! Decor is pretty cute, resembles local spots in Vietnam. We ordered a drink (pictured), I honestly can't remember what it was. I just remembered it was so watered down and just gross. The snacks and desserts on the other hand were pretty good! Desserts aren't pictured, forgot to take pics. We ordered Viet style há cảo (har gow), and fish balls. They definitely got the flavor right and reminded me of my childhood in Saigon. the spicy bread toasted is sooooo good. it's the only thing i've tried on the menu but i can guarantee it's the best. the drinks don't really call to me, but i think i need to try the durian items on the menu since it's their specialty. i'm deducting 1 star though because a) i hate the parking in this plaza and b) inconsistency in quantity and appearance. the amount of bread slices, mayo, green onion, and other toppings seems to vary per order. sometimes the person packing the order forgets to give utensils and napkins with the order. also note that there is a $0.50 surcharge on purchases under $10 if you're using card! read more

We shared a durian drink and got the durian crepes and sushi bread to go. The durian drink was basically a che with coconut milk and pieces of real durian. There were cups filled with the toppings (but without coconut milk) sitting in a display case, and you could point to the one you wanted so you would know what you were getting. The crepes were filled with cream and generous chunks of durian. The sushi bread was a very interesting concept, consisting of Asian-style bread topped with meat floss and nori. read more

If I could give it a 3.5, I would. I saw this place on Tik Tok and it seemed really good, but it was just a bit lack luster. The popcorn chicken was decent. The fried egg cake was also just ok. The rice paper salad didn't come with nearly enough sauce to hydrate rice paper to make it soft. The only way is to let it basically marinate, which doesn't help if you're ravenous. But even then, it's not enough to hydrate the rice paper. The durian cake was for mom, and she did raise her hands in praise, so I'll take it as a compliment. The sushi bread, while a milk bread, was way too sweet for my taste, especially with how savory it looked. I had really high expectations for this place, and it just didn't live up to what I thought it was gonna be. The indoor seating was really nice and I thought the outdoor seating was so charming. As for the desserts: - Durian Madness 2/5: the durian flavor was strong, but i think that's because durian itself is a strong flavor. the milkshake itself was more icy than creamy, and was overall just OK. I wish it was creamier, more durian flavor. - Durian cream puffs 4/5: I got the non-craquelin cream puffs with a durian custard cream inside, they were pretty good! Not too sweet. I will say, i prefer a whipped cream and durian filling vs a durian custard, but that's more of a personal preference. - Durian Crepe pocket; 3.5/5 - Just alright! As much as I expected it to be. Waited 20 minutes for 2 drinks on a Sunday. There weren't that many people when we've arrived, maybe 2 parties ahead of us, but there was a line after we left. Ordered the coconut coffee and egg coffee. I liked the consistency of the coconut coffee, sort of a slushy texture but I could not taste any coconut at all. Coffee part seemed diluted with the ice too. Egg coffee was bitter and too strong, without the egg adding any flavor to it. Ratio of coffee to flavoring for both drinks weren't great. We tried the pork floss cheese sponge birthday cake twice in this month, both ordered for birthday. The first time with very little cheese and the boss told me that if we ordered again, they would add more cheese. Guess what, we ordered! The second time came with even less cheese and no middle layer. The cake itself comes in 2 forms, the circle one and the square one. We ordered both. The square one only comes with one layer, and there is nothing in the sponge cake on the bottom which is very bland. So it is just some sprinkles of pork floss on top of a regular sponge cake. The cake is also quite dry. I would not recommend. I'm honestly disappointed especially we ordered the cake both times for birthday party! read more

The durian smoothie was very flavorful and yummy. I enjoyed the little tapioca sago in it as well. With durian being so creamy and rich, this smoothie was definitely very filling and was a bit too heavy after a bowl of hu tieu, so it did take me a while to finish it, but I enjoyed every last bit. Looking forward to coming back and trying a durian milk tea or one of their other desserts. One thing to note is that it does take them quite a while to prepare any of their orders. I usually come here for the durian madness, which is a rich durian smoothie or for the ah durian which is like a durian milk tea. I came closer to closing so they said they were out of both. I ended up getting the durian dessert which is basically a durian che. I think the flavor wasn't very strong, it just tasted like milk, not much durian flavor. I did really enjoy the jelly's in it. There was a pandan jelly and it tasted really fragrant, I think they use real pandan leaves. The drinks are pricey but durian itself is expensive so it's understandable. It used to be a really small shop but they expanded it so there is a lot of space and tables and chairs to enjoy your drink and chill. read more

I've been their customer for years but this time is disappointing. I ordered 3 kumquat teas & all cups are full of ice and barely any tea! We asked the cashier about it & the answer we got was because this tea is a concentration & it should melt later. I've ordered this drink many time but never receive this absurd amount of ice! If you're a fan of durian, this place is for you! It's located in a Vietnamese plaza, parking was enough on a Saturday afternoon. They have a drink menu but other than that, there's no menu for their dessert items. You just have to figure it out or ask the worker. I believe they also serve savory items which I want to try next time! Tons of people were ordering that. This cafe had tons of seating and has a "picnic" type ambiance to it. I ordered the rau ma drink, fresh durian crepe, and durian sponge cake, total came out to $26 excluding tax. Yeesh! The rau ma drink was not my cup of tea - it's made out of a plant so if you're not used to drinking vegetable in a sweet drink, then it may not be for you. Definitely an acquired taste. The durian dessert though, were amazing! My favorite was the durian crepe. I normally don't crave durian and only eat it when my parents have them. The smell doesn't bother me since I grew up eating it, but it may be bothersome to some since the smell was a little strong for a dessert. The crepe skin was so smooth and aesthetically pleasing, that first bite was amazing! Tasted not too sweet, has some other fruit in there, and then that durian hits and it went so well with the cream and everything else. The durian sponge cake was also delicious, it had chunks of fresh durian on top. I brought this to share with family and most people were able to eat it. I had no idea what it was but it honestly took me by surprise on how good it was. The cake worked really well with the mayo and pork floss, combining both savory and sweet flavors together. I barely tasted any durian in it but it didn't deter me from the cake as a whole. I also saw ones with sausage on top as well. I would have to get that kind for next time.
