Best pizza ever! This is a super casual take out or eat in kind of spot. They have many options for pizza that are not your typical pepperoni or plain cheese. We ordered an eggplant salad slice (very generous quantity), vodka slice, white slice, Sicilian slice, plain cheese slice, and an order of garlic knots with a 2L soda, less than $25! The vodka slice was my favorite, it was so flavorful and a lot of mozzarella cheese kind of like a margarita slice. The garlic knots were soft and doughy. Awesome pizza ! Had a slice of plain and a slice of the eggplant with fresh mozzarella, mixed greens, cukes and topped off with drizzled balsamic reduction. This where I eat my regular pizza from now on! Plain pie is definitely old school North Jersey pizza! Excellent sauce and plenty of hot gooey flavorful cheese! Not too thick and not too thin of a crust. I hardly used any toppings if that tells you anything! The fried eggplant slice was fresh looking and the taste was outstanding. Can actually taste each component on its own well distributed throughout. The crust was crispy not soggy or wet at all. Just when I thought I was done, I discovered the best secret-cheese! My coworker talked me into ordering from here. She now owes me $10 for it. I ordered a "Stewie" salad minus the chicken . They didn't take anything off for it still same price. Pizza One is one of my favorite pizza spots in Jersey. Their selection of pizza is endless and extremely creative at times. This is the first place I have ever seen a lasagna slice... I don't know why I needed that much carbs but I HAD to try it. This is also the only place I've been to that had bits of celery in their buffalo chicken slices. Nice little detail like that goes a long way. The chicken Caesar salad pizza was also an interesting slice that I enjoyed more here than I did at other spots. The staff are cool and very helpful. Younger crew that are professional and very down to earth. Best pizza I've had in New Jersey, and the quality doesn't stop there. I've gotten wraps, subs, salads, sides from there and everything has been top notch. My only critique is when you choose to have bread toasted on an online order, the bread is overly toasted and not super enjoyable to bite through. It may not be the best Italian food around but their delivery process is by far the best around. One order, one driver. It arrives hot just like you went to the restaurant to pick it up yourself. The only drawback is the difference between locations. Wayne has a crew of delivery people and you can tip with your credit card. I've been coming to Pizza One for years now and I couldn't imagine ordering from anywhere else. I've since move out of delivery range (Essex County) but don't mind making the 25 min drive to pick up my orders because I have yet to find a better place near by. Their portion sizes are huge especially on sandwiches, my favorite being the chicken vodka parm. They also have some of the most elaborate specialty slices I've ever seen including multiple types of salad slices.I recently had them cater a party and I couldn't even get a photo of the food before people began helping themselves. I spent most of the evening being asked where I got the catering from by all of the guests as well as the people working at the venue who were equally as impressed. My one tip would be to give a little extra time on busier nights like Friday and Saturday because of how popular they are. Personally I'd rather wait for my order at a place everyone wants to go to rather than get my food quickly at a place no one is going to. My office is a about a 3 minute walk from Pizza One so I eat there literally all the time. Well, not all the time but let's say 3x/week which is damn close to all the time. I always get the ummmm pizza. I don't have a particular favorite because given their variety, it's really hard to choose just one. I usually alternate between Grandma, Lasagna, Vodka or the occasional Pepperoni Wheel. But no matter what I choose, it's always fresh, hot and delicious. It's also nice that no matter how busy they get and they really do get jammed, service is always attentive, friendly and polite. Equally important to me is cleanliness and despite the crowds, tables are cleared and cleaned promptly. I've never ordered delivery for obvious reason, the reason being the tedious 3 minute walk but from what I've heard it's extremely fast and efficient. No idea how many delivery dudes (& dudettes) they have but I think it's a lot. With so so so so many pizza places in the Northern NJ, metropolitan area selecting a favorite can be daunting. But for me, wanting to stay close to work, Pizza One is all I could ask for and perhaps just a bit more. Kudos. read more

Ok so I ordered there for the first time new to the area. Fing amazing. They forgot my salad but came right back to bring it. I come from the food industry myself, parents had restaurants my whole life so I feel that I can make an educated decision on what constitutes something amazing. Food here is very inconsistent. The sandwiches are always very good. The entrees are decent. The pizza, specifically the plain pies which the majority of people order, is horrendous. It may be the worst pizza in the town of wayne. The sauce is salty and the pizza is always floppy. Even if it's a thin pie. The 2 stars are for the sandwiches and small bites. Their food is great but I won't be going back here. At least one employee I saw behind the counter while I was there for 5 mins was wearing a chin strap instead of a mask. Coincidently, he was also the one doing the most talking. Just what you want during a pandemic: a big mouth with no mask on around your food. Ironically, there's a note on the door that says masks are mandatory as of April 2020. Apparently, that doesn't apply to the employees. Edit: the owner seems to think this claim isn't true.
