Extremely Disappointed. I've been going to pizza pirates since 1997-98 b/c of yearbook at Pomona Catholic. And when I moved to Ontario we started going to the one in south Ontario off grove and Philadelphia. Anyway, tonight we ordered from the Pomona location and were very upset. We ordered the buffalo chicken pizza and the pizza had almost no chicken on it and had no buffalo sauce. My family even thought we may have received the wrong pizza. But when I got home and tasted it and saw the pizza there was no orange on it pretty much no buffalo sauce and very minimal chicken. Instead of calling and complaining about this I decided to do a yelp review because since it's Halloween it's very busy and figured I would just get brushed off. The pepperoni and sausage was fine but if I'm ordering a specialty pizza I expect it to be what I'm ordering. No I am questioning on returning here and probably will tell my family members including extended family who lives nearest to this location versus Ontario to NOT order any specialty pizzas because what you order isn't what you'll receive. The location in South Ontario is the location where I had ordered this pizza first and got my mom hooked only to have her extremely disappointed with today's purchase. Good pizza with delicious and chewy mozzarella. This is not thick and bready pizza like usual chain pizza, but also not the thin and flour-y italian pizza. Pizza Pirates is the place to go if you are pizza lover ! This location is to go only. They also have delivery. It's in a not so great location but it's worth it. You can view the extensive menu online and order online and just go pick up. The menu choices feature old stand bys and some never thought of but super great combos! A woman staff member yelled at and hung up the phone on me. I was trying to get answers after she failed to answer my questions three times. At worst, Pizza Pirates overcharged me. At best, based on what this woman told me, they have not updated their Google business profile for two years despite having increased prices. And that includes not updating their menu. Been losing its quality and quantity for some time. The toppings seem to have less flavor and all you can really taste is the cheese. They have been pretty greedy with the toppings, the pizza has been over baked, the toppings are over cooked. Same for the Ontario grove location. Something has changed. This spot has the yummiest specialty pizzas!!! Decent pricing and quality ingredients. Sandra the manager is so awesome, one time maybe a year ago my specialty pizza was not up to my standard and not only did Sandra figure out what I needed to be happy, remake the pizza to my satisfaction, but she also remembered me and again made the pizza exactly how I like it before I was even able to remind her, so I'm beyond pleased with the overall customer service and dining experience. I've ordered their pizza a few times now and I have always been pleased. The pepperoni deluxe was ok, but I will get regular pepperoni next time. The thing we love most about this place is the Texas Cheese bread. It is so damn tasty, we order it without the bacon and it is a hit every single time 10/10 recommended. I love wings, so the bbq wings were a nice change to the usual buffalo style ones. I really enjoyed the pizza here. The dough had a nice chew to it. They offer a wide range of eclectic, and fresh ingredients. It's a nice break from the regular chains, and you're not paying a premium for good quality pizza. So I've had a lot of pizza in my life but this pizza place happened to be a life changing experience for me. I always like to try new places so i know either what I've been missing or what not to try again. Saw this place on yelp and wasn't too far from me so i decided to try it. Best decision ever because the sheer amount of choices this place offers will boggle your mind. Premium pizzas now a days are quiet expensive and if imma get one of those ill order from round table cause they great. Well this place is EXCELLENT For the price as well. I dont know where i can get a x-large pizza for 15 bucks and a premium one at that. They do deliver but only within a very limited area in Pomona. This is my second time at this location and unlike my initial visit I was severely disappointed. I have to lower my rate from 5 start to 1, but I'd give it zero if i could. The pizza I got this time was dry, burned, and hard. It was nearly inedible. I got the Margarite pizza and it was disappointing compared to the margarite pizza at Woodstone Pizzaria. I can't believe they have the audacity of having a tip jar. I can't tip if I don't know what I'm getting, and this time I got trash. You can see from the pictures how burned it is. The side view of the slice of pizza shows you it is so burned that it doesn't drip down. It looks like it is day old pizza. The bread is so hard it's stale. Sorry, I cannot take a gamble again and sadly I will not be making the relatively long drive here again. I recommend for anyone else ordering carry-out, check the pizza before you walk out and make sure it is not burned.
