We decided to come here tonight because the Build-your-own style pizzas were calling our names. There were four of us, one of whom needed a gluten-free crust and toppings, which also did not contain other allergens. We arrived about 630 this evening, and there were four staff working, with the guy working the fire oven and the three gals building the pizzas. I specified that we wanted to have four build your own pizzas and then one of them needed to be gluten-free and could they please use separate gloves to put the toppings on? So two of the girls made the three regular crust pizzas while the third girl focused on making the gluten-free pizza. We really appreciated it. My person was so extremely generous with all of the toppings that I chose for my pizza that the thin crust almost couldn't handle it! I asked for a classic red sauce, mozzarella and goat cheese, pepperoni, jalapeños, black olives, mushrooms, sea salt, and oregano, artichokes, spinach. The guy operating the fire oven did a good job of leaving the pizzas in just long enough that the crest turned a little bit crispy. Perfect! He was also very generous with giving us crushed red pepper and Parmesan packets on the side. My beverage of choice was a mix of the lemonade and blood orange refreshers which they now store behind the counter and serve for you, whereas the sodas are self-serve with free refills (what's the story behind that I wonder?!) My pizza turned out so yummy. Blaze pizza is satisfying and yummy, but definitely best to eat on site rather than takeout because you don't want it to get soggy. I had two slices leftover which I look forward to heating up on a frying plan to make crispy later! read more

7/17/26 Blaze Pizza Claremont, CA... Came here for the first time with a long time friend and her husband. The service here at the counter was great. I had questions and they all got answered. Place was clean inside and out. Was very spacious. Has some outdoor patio seating too. I've been circling this place for years and finally came! I had a chicken pesto pizza with mushrooms and sea salt. It was so good! For the fountain drink I had a mixed coke & Dr Pepper. Second drink was Vitamin Water. I like the oven they cook the pizzas! The service at this location is less than par. We walked in and no one greeted us or asked if we were ordering or picking up. One worker was on the prep area and one at the oven. 4 others were cleaning. We waited for a good 10 minutes before I decided to asked if we could be helped and that we were their to pick up an order. We finally got our order. I gave 3 stars for the quality of the pizza. This location of Blaze Pizza is in the Claremont Village area. They are conveniently located by the parking structure with a back door right by the structure or the front door facing Indian Hill. They have a small outdoor seating area and spacious seating inside. My parents and I came in the early evening before peak dinner time. The restaurant was empty and we were the only customers in line. That was good for us because my parents were contemplating which toppings they wanted and not having people behind us allowed us to take our time. We all got our own Build Your Own Pizza ($13.99/each). The pricing has definitely increased a lot throughout the years. The build your own model is made so that you should enjoy it when you enjoy the items you pick. Give it to my mom to ruin such a great concept. She picked all the things she likes and somehow decided she didn't like it.. .. .. Sigh... I guess the creator has to consider balance. I am noting that this is *user error* and no fault of the restaurant. Because she loved my pizza. My dad also enjoyed because he ate his whole pizza, minus some of the crust. My creation was the regular crust, classic marinara, shredded mozzarella, and ovalini mozzarella, sausage, chicken, bacon, red peppers, basil, garlic bits, and whole roasted garlic. A little bland because things were hectic and I didn't get a chance to tell them to add my bbq sauce. When my parents are around I'm too stressed taking care of their needs first. Upon check out I had a little delay with staff because they had issues applying coupons I had. It was expiring at the end of the year so I had to use it. Thankfully the manager on the shift was able to resolve it but it took a while. Overall a good experience if you understand your own preferences. It's definitely getting more and more expensive through the years but the customization is nice. read more

Then she said it was a blend, but maybe it wasn't blended well because it was all spinach. We all make mistakes, but maybe if you don't know the difference, or if you accidentally grabbed the wrong one, just apologize and own it. The people working behind the counter are pretty accommodating and nice. Although the pizza came out quick, the prices are a bit high for the size and quality. The pizza itself was flavorful, but the crust was a little grainy and burnt. The grapefruit lemonade was the perfect amount of sweet and refreshing. Another beautiful day is So Cal and another Blaze pizza visit. This time the Claremont location. This Blaze is located in the Claremont Village area of Claremont. It is an area with a ton of shopping and eateries around, pretty cool area. This location is a corner location and quite large, it has a raised shuffleboard game inside the restaurant which is fun. Service here is quick as most as, staff behind the counter were friendly. They have 6 different beers on tap as well as self serve beverages. Great spot for lunch or anytime. I did notice inside their pizza oven they had the cities name in the back, which I thought was cool and not sure I have ever noticed that at other locations, but I will start looking. My order was my usual, original crust, red sauce, fresh mozzarella, not shredded, lots of basil, oregano, no added extra salt and olive oil drizzle. So good and lets me enjoy without a ton of sodium, which is great. Check out the Village area and grab some pizza at Blaze. Enjoy! read more

They're also much less generous with toppings now--there's barely any cheese on the dishes, which was never an issue before. Stopped by on Sunday, 09/24/23 2x (lunch and dinner time) for the first time. Ordered online for pick up. This place is relatively affordable. What I love about this place is the menu - you can literally customize your own pizza and the multiple variety of selections are endless. The Claremont location is pretty large and there is a front and back door. When I stopped by, the front door was closed, and so I waited outside for quite some time since it was odd to me that the store is closed but should be open per google hours.
