If I could give lower than 1 star I would. Ordered for a pizza delivery at 4:20 (visiting from out of town). By 6:00 there was still no pizza and no follow up so I began calling. Went in for lunch. They run a great deal for pizza by the slice. $2 a slice and $1 a can of soda. Great spot for a lunch break while working on the job. They have a small dining room with clean table booths. The lady at the register was very kind and smiled like she cared which is a rare thing in fast food nowadays. Pizza was great. The pizza was ready as expected, but it was cold. Not sure if it was kept under a warmer or not. I understand this place is under new ownership. I am sorry to say the pizza was probably the worst pizza I have ever had. And my spouse said the same thing! There was hardly any cheese on it and it had way too much sauce. I had the meatball sub today. Meatballs were good. The sauce is just pizza sauce, hard onions and peppers thrown on it. Thus would be much better if it was slowly cooked in sauce and onions and peppers like it used to be. read more

I've had too many experiences with staff here that involve ineptitude on the phone, navigating to my address, or accepting coupons or the Yelp! discount offered when you check in with the yelp app. I had to speak my credit card number FIVE TIMES before the guy got it right and my call took more than seven minutes. Today will be the last time I order a pizza from them because they've consistently failed to deliver quality service, though they HAVE done consistently well at the preparation of my pizza, which does arrive still hot and cooked "well done, not burnt" like I ask. But when they finally arrived with my last pizza, late, I found that in spite of the fact that they clearly had my street name correct over the phone, the paperwork had the wrong street name. Further, this, my last pizza, was undercooked, and all of the center portions were a bit raw. Such disappointing incompetence. read more

I'm not sure if the restaurant is under new management but you can tell by the atmosphere that this is a family run establishment and they definitely have a good vibe going! The young lady at the cash register was so nice and helpful! The family was very thoughtful and kept making sure we were ok while waiting and that the food came out to our liking. I ordered two gyro plates for pickup over the phone. They quickly informed me it would be 45 minutes? Which I found to be overly excessive but waited for the extra 30 minutes. When I arrived to pay for the food there was another customer that wasn't happy with their order and they were fixing the problem. When it came time for me to pay my food wasn't even ready yet!!! They prepared it right after I paid for my meal and I had to wait an additional 10+ more minutes. The food itself was mediocre at best with the meat being dry and tasteless. The tzatziki sauce was runny and flavorless. They even overdid the tomatoes and all but forgot the onions. The fries were even worse. The only positive was the quantity of the meat itself. This experience made me question their level of competence and after reading a couple of the pizza reviews I won't return. The location is ruining Pizza Pit's good name. read more

I wanted pizza and my kids wanted macaroni and cheese, so I figured I'd head to the Pit. If only somebody had answered the phone! It was around 6pm on a Saturday night, which I understand is a busy time, but come on. I let it ring about 15 times and then hung up. I paced around my house for a few minutes, got distracted, then tried calling again about ten minutes later. Same deal: lots of ringing, no answering. I let it ring another 15 times or so and just gave up. I don't mind having someone answer and then immediately put me on hold. It's a lot better than the nothing that I got. Thumbs DOWN. read more

Pizza Pit in Sun Prairie is our go-to place for inexpensive pizza, especially at lunch time. Don't compare them to the expensive, gourmet place across the street -- but if you are looking for efficient service and a great value for the (low) price point, I strongly recommend The Pit. They sell pizza by the slice over the lunch hour (maybe all day? Not sure?) and that's a screaming deal. They also offer gyros, which I've never tried. Note that the owner is often there. He's a gruff guy, but takes a lot of pride in his pizza. Yes, this restaurant is locally owned and operated -- another reason to bring them your business. p.s. They deliver. However, the person answering phones and taking orders at around 6pm on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 just about put me off Pizza Pit forever. Incredibly rude, to the point I hung up on him. We're new to the area, so we're trying as many new places as we can. We have a two year old, and decided to come here for lunch on a Monday. It was a casual atmosphere, perfect for a toddler, with friendly staff. My husband and I got a pizza, which came out pretty quickly, and was delicious. Our picky two year old gobbled up the French fries and chicken strips. I think we will definitely go back - it's always nice finding a place where we can bring the toddler without hassle (and have him eat!). read more

The customer service and food was terrible at this location. Manager was extremely rude and was a smart a--. Ordered gyro plate but basicly got a gyro with fries, no difference is meat portion. If anything it wasn't even a enough meat for a normal gyro (extremely small portion size) have eaten at many other Athens Gyro but never had the poor quality of food and service as at this location. Gyro wasn't even decent size slices of meat,k it was more like scrap pieces that were lying at the bottom of the bowl, with 1 big onion circle on top and a couple of tomato slice and very little taziki sauce. Would never eat here again even it was free. Would give it zero star if could, avoid at all cost terrible food and service. read more

This Pizza Pit has been overcharging their customers for years! They say delivery to Marshall is $2.25 but charge you $2.50. If you order carry out, the total reflects they are charging you 8.9% tax!! I question them EVERY SINGLE TIME & the response I get in monotone is, "That's what our computer says. I can't change the price." Is this the only way they can make a profit, by ripping their customers off??! Give your money to someone else! WI tax is only 5.5%, look at your bills, Peeps. SUCKS! I ordered the 15 piece wing and drummies and when it was delivered to my house I had 9 puny wings! I called and asked about the rest of my food and they told me "well we do it by pound and it's not guaranteed that you were gonna get 15 wings and drummies" then I asked why wasn't I told this on the phone and they told me "oh I forgot". Pizza Pit is an acquired taste, but my wife and I love it! We live 35 minutes away, but whenever we are in the Madison Area we always make a point to stop at the Pizza Pit in Sun Prairie. We always call ahead and dine in, and we have never been disappointed. Though this a franchise pizza joint, it feels like a true Mom and Pop establishment. The owners are always at the restaurant, and are often there on the front line welcoming you from behind the counter as you enter. We love Pizza Pit, but the Sun Prairie locations is by far our personal favorite. read more

i ordered a beef pizza and it was doughy. i called back to let them know how the pizza was.they let me speak to the manager and he had the nerve to tell me that the pizza was well cooked. now why would i lie about the pizza. i just told him i wanted my money back. when they can for the pizza and to give me my refund. the manager/owner told me that the pizza is done because the bottom and nicely brown. i had to show him the dough that you can see. he got the nerve to tell me next time i order i should tell them i want it well done. who the hell has to order pizza well done. i will never order from them again. the pizza pit in madison is way better and customer service is better!!! read more
