On a mission to try as many pizza places in Boston as I can, and so far this is in the top three! Love the classic single slice, just wish we could get more types of single slices. The pizza is very expensive in my opinion, but very good crust and fun flavors. Just FYI there is always a wait in person, particularly during events. I never thought I'd be willing to choose a local pizza store over a slice of Costco pizza. But here I was after getting a drink from a nearby bar. The drink and the pizza paired beautifully. I got a slice of cheese pizza since that was the only pizza I could order a single slice for. The portion size was generous, and the pizza tasted wonderful. Excellent pizza! It seemed like everyone at the speedway was getting boxes of pizza. So popular. The crust had that great char, from the wood fire oven. I took Sophie's recommendation and went with the pepperoni hot honey. It was a tasty crust, and the toppings were on point. Generous drips of hot honey paired perfectly with the pepperoni. Not too much cheese- pieces of fresh mozzarella were well spaced throughout. Leaves of basil and a little parm sprinkled on top were the final touches. Highly recommend. Next time will have to get a whole pizza to share. We took our pizza over to Notch to watch a World Cup game. read more

Pizza Project was excellent - I want to try again with a slice fresh out of the oven. We ordered a half vodka, half pepperoni/ricotta pie that may have sat for a while in the car ride back home. It was still delicious, though. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients, from the bright notes in the sauce to the generous toppings, and they do a unique sesame seed-coated crust. As other reviewers have mentioned, though, the prices are a little higher than others in the area. Our 16 inch pie totaled around $30, while our neighborhood pizza haunt (Max and Leo's) is around $20-25. They mostly do a bustling pick-up business, with some seats along the wall if you prefer to eat there. There's a dedicated parking lot for the Speedway. When the weather's a lot nicer (i.e., not a freezing tundra that makes me question my choice to live in Boston), I'd come back to get a drink at Notch Brewery a few steps away and then grab a slice here. read more

I drove down to try the pizza after seeing a brief review in barstool pizza review. I ordered a cheese pizza for take out and vodka slice to try at the restaurant. It is a small restaurant with 5-6 pizza options and has parking on the back with collective set of restaurants. The service is great. Very friendly people :) The pizza is great and really loved their dough.. it is so perfect, crusty, chewy and thin.. my favorite!! I would have loved it more if the tomato sauce had a tiny bit of sweetness!! I felt little bitterness. Otherwise it is a great pizza to try. Love what they're doing here. The pizza is really good. Fresh ingredients. I was impressed with the pizza! Service was the only thing I would change. I ordered a slice and paid. I sat outside to wait, so I wouldn't get in the way of other customers coming in and out. I came back in after 10 minutes, thinking it wouldn't take that long to heat up a slice. And.. oops... they forgot about me. So they put a slice in the oven and at this point I stood at the counter and waited. That's what I get for trying to be helpful and waiting outside. lol. The place wasn't even that busy with customers that you could see them forgetting about me. So yeah, my tip is to not wait outside and make sure they see you standing there so they don't forget about you. I will return and hopefully service is on point. It's really take out only, so you're not dealing with table service or anything. The location is great for outdoor eating and you can get beer at the brewery next to it. Well this place is getting alot of hype- and it's worth it! It's got a nice toasty firm crust, thin and a bit of crisp. I've enjoyed some slices and beer when hanging out at the Speedway on a nice day and ordered in a full pie recently on a cold dismal day.... I love that they do half/half with full pies! They have a well thought out balance of fresh pizza toppings and pretty gourmet flavors. The Caesar Salad was also awesome. Vodka slice was a standout for me and the fresh whole pie Mushroom/Pepperoni so good. The house dressings (mild herby ranch, Caesar) are a perfect pair for salad and the Za. It's basically takeout since the shop itself is a counter, but that works great when it's nice out to chill at the Speedway patio. With counter service I have gotten a bit of the Gen Z stare- but not bad. Great quality, great vibe, and yummy- check it out! read more

This is some darn good pizza! The hot honey is spectacular! It's a great location at the speedway - perfect for dining outside on the patio and pairing with a beer from Notch. It can get busy on a nice night so I recommend ordering ahead online (45 min wait on a sunny Friday night). read more

My partner and I shared a cheese pizza, potato pizza (special), and slice of vodka pizza w sesame crust - TASTE: 5/5 - pizza doesn't usually wow me, but these did. Loved everything about the potato pizza: charred leek cream, savory potatoes, a fontina and house cheese blend, and rosemary -- excellent. Overall: love this place. Nice cozy corner inside Speedway and serving some good pizza. Food: first the pizzas come super reasonably priced at their portion sizes. Second the toppings they load on aren't your everyday pepperoni but the semi specialty cup flavors. Lastly the dough itself is not super yeasty so you don't feel bloated on the inside after. Been meaning to try this place out for a while now was in the area over the weekend and finally decided to stop in for couple of slices. Staff were very friendly, they recommended the two signature slices the vodka and the pepperoni. Both were delicious and light, crust also was nice and crunchy. Conveniently located near Notch Brewer its pairs perfectly with a local craft beer. Easy to order from where you are sitting for quick pickup is a nice touch. The pizza is fresh & crispy with quality ingredients but held back slightly for me for being thin & expensive. Splitting one pie among to people seems to be the move. read more

Amazing pizza! We ordered a plain with pepperoni and a white pizza. They were both delicious. Definitely one of the best pizzas ever! We were lucky enough to snag two seats at the counter, so we were able to enjoy them hot out of the oven. We were surprised what a generous size the pizzas are. Our interaction with the staff was the frosting on the cake. All in all a 10/10. We will be back sometime when the brewery Notch might be quieter so we can enjoy a beer with the pizza. OMG. Incredible is an understatement. This pizza is a Neapolitan-style with soft dough and amazing flavor. My husband and I make it a point to get this pizza whenever they do a "pop-up" event at Vitamin Sea Brewery... The dough, the sauce/cheese combo and toppings are top notch. We usually order the pepperoni, which is the "cup-style" kind where the grease pools in the middle. Yes, I realize this is not appealing for everyone but we love it. Very good pizza, very thin, excellent pepperoni, nice partially charred crust without being burnt, bottom of pizza crispy and well cooked. I would describe the pizza as perhaps a cross between NY and New Haven but not as burnt as New Haven but thin like NY. I prefer a traditional Neapolitan style which is lighter, fluffier and with a rim that is airy with lots of holes in the interior like an artisan loaf of bread. I've only been once but I would say Si Cara in Cambridge is more my style. read more
