Sorry, I don't have any pictures. But when I visited the location, I ordered a small half cheese half mushroom pizza.. The pizza was delicious. It was made fresh just the right amount of mushrooms and sauce and cheese.. I never been to that location but the customer service was very nice. They welcomed me and made me feel comfortable. They are so served my pizza with a smile. Now the area that is located in is OK the parking is not so good. Also, the place looks a little rundown. It's very small inside. But because the pizza is so delicious that it makes up for all of that I would definitely go back again. read more

Ordered a meatball sub with provolone cheese to go. When I opened the wrapper, I wondered "Where's the red sauce?" Cut into one of the small meatballs and couldn't determine what it was made from - hard, dry mystery meat! Overall very poor quality and wastebasket bound. No thanks Jenny's. read more

If I could post zero stars, I would. You see, at 12pm we called to order a group lunch for our office. At 2pm, we called to see what was taking so long. The woman who answered the phone noticed the order was never placed. She "wasn't in the position" to do much at all about it except 1. cancel or 2. put it in now... with a 30 minute wait. I come to Jenny's for lunch about 2 times a week. I love their chicken and French fry dinners. I used to get the chicken wing dinner but realized that I liked their chicken fingers more. The pizza is okay... It's a bit too greasy for my taste. They do offer a wide range of fast food options for a quick bite. The portion sizes are good for the pricing; you can get something filling between $7 - $10. The establishment is very small, only a standing space for about 4 people max. But they are prompt with orders. The customer service is based on who you are dealing with because there are a couple men that work there who are pleasant, but the female with the gray hair is very short and not super welcoming. read more

The best thing about this meal was the paper bag it came in! The prices on line are off by 4 bucks, the cheese burger patties are frozen dog food and the onion rings are batter blasted crap!! I picked up food for 3 of us a couple of days ago and everyone gave 2 thumbs up and these guys can be pretty picky:) The orders were: 14 inch pizza (pepperoni, mushroom, onion), Chef salad, fries, chicken parm sub and mozzarella sticks. The girl that answered the phone was very polite and patient as we had a couple of questions. Also when I picked up the order, the 2 young gentlemen inside for polite as well. It's a small pizza/sub shop that has been around for a while now. I also remember going about 6 years ago and having no issues. In addition, the prices are really fair! Especially for Boston. The order above can to roughly $40. I guess they only thing holding Jenny's back from a 5 Star pizza shop is that you really can't sit inside to eat if you wanted to. Very small. Maybe there is a seat or 2 I missed. I just don't recall. However, if you are in the area, definitely give Jenny's a try. read more

This is my hometown hero. Jenny's Pizza & Subs. If I could give them 5 more stars I would. It is my FAVORITE sub shop I've ever been too. I'll usually order their tuna sub, bacon cheeseburger sub (which is 3 patties on a sub and bacon and cheese), their buffalo wings, or any of their pizzas (usually with meat toppings). They have so much more but thats some of my favorite. It's such a small place they work in and it's right down the road from where I grew up in Charlestown. Theyre always fast with taking their orders and even faster with their delivery. They have some of the best fries I have ever tasted. I don't recomend stopping in and ordering, although it is available to do so. But I only say this because it's such a small little hut and gets crowded VERY easily. Not to mention you'll get in the way. So I highly suggest ordering from home. (or if you're in the Charlestown area) This place is great if you're having some friends over to watch a game or if you just want to order a quick dinner for you and your significant other. I'm more than suprised they haven't been exploding on the map but I suppose it's Charlestown's little treasure. 20 frickin stars. read more

Good stuff - cheap too! Their tag line is - "It's all Good" and I certainly agree. You can get delivery or stop by and pick up your order but they don't have tables to stay and eat there. The owner used to work there as a pizza delivery person when he was younger and eventually bought the place. Jenny's has always supported local youth and sports organizations. The driver once asked my family if we were getting pots and pans for Christmas because we ordered so much from them. They're all very funny and friendly. read more

So while I was working nearby I figured I would try this place. Always drove by and wanted to try it....should have kept driving. Ordered a large Italian sub, the service was quick and.and soon after ordering I was given a sub that seemed very light and very small for a large! Opening the wrapper, I saw my favorite cubed pickles, so I had high hopes! I grabbed the sub and separated the sub roll, it showed very little meat inside. Furthermore from first bite until last bite the sandwich was dry and bread was old. The sandwich was tasteless. All I could taste was stale, old bread and onions. When you make a living selling subs, the bread should not be old. Sorry, Jenny, you're not the girl for me. read more

After tonight, I have to knock it down to 2 stars. I just had the worst eggplant parm sub that I've ever eaten in my life. Tasted like chemicals, and after my first bite I noticed the eggplant was greenish in color. Underripe or molded? I pray to god for the former. It used to be across the street from my house.....the corner of Main and School Streets.....I grew up on their chicken parms and steak and cheese! And slices....When they moved down to Medford St I figured I'd just find a new place to grab some quick food. Boy was I wrong....I find myself calling down their for delivery atleast 2 or 3 times a week! Their chicken parms and steak and cheese are a legend in Charlestown! Definitely not the best pie I've had, and not even close. However, if you're looking for a pretty cheap pizza without sacrificing total quality, Jenny's will do the trick. Jenny's Food and Portions are the best around the area. Jenny's is a small (with recently renovated interior) neighborhood sub shop along the Mystic River side of Charlestown seemingly converted from a house on Medford Street. The Pizza, Sub, Sandwiches and Calzones are fantastic. I love their food and the subs and sandwiches are of a generous size - enough to make two meals out of them sometimes. My favorite will always be the Meatball sub...delicious - best I've ever had. Nothing cookie cutter about this place. Oh, and if there are cookies or brownies in the basket by the register, do yourself a favor and grab a few. They're made by Joey's Mom and they are some of the best you'll find anywhere - (no kidding!). Don't expect to dine in as their is not enough room for seating inside, but feel free to talk with the very personable owner, Joey and his friendly staff making the great food. There are benches outside, but orders are for take-out. But wait - there's a bonus!!! Joey puts up 4-5 trivia questions on the grease-board every week on a wide variety of subjects. This is down the street from where I work, so I try to get there by the end of the week if I haven't yet so as not to miss the trivia questions. I've yet to sweep all the questions in a week - some of them are frustrating stumpers. So if you're in Charlestown and hungry, zip down Medford Street and stop in. You'll be glad you did! Growing up in Brooklyn, New York City, New York I've only found 2 places outside of Brooklyn where I've liked the pizza. Jenny's is one of the two. The prices are very reasonable, the people are kind and clean. The restaurant is clean as well. My co-workers had pizza, steak bomb, chicken parm and chicken club sandwich and non of us complained about our meals. We all really enjoyed it. read more

We finally got to try the subs. I have to say, if you stop in and chat with the people who work here, they're awesome. Hilarious too. I had the meatball sub, which I found to have meatballs that were far too dense for my liking, and which were seasoned with something peculiar... just wasn't for me. My wife got the turkey bomber, which was very good, if not a bit bland (turkey, onions, mushrooms, peppers on bread... needs some sauce or something for me). Price is still fair. I ordered dinner to be delivered to a student who had his last day of school today. Set up a few hours in advance for a delivery time of 6:00 so we could have a Zoom farewell dinner with his family (my family is over an hour away). The food didn't come out until 6:30pm, and wasn't delivered until 6:45. My family had already finished eating before his food even arrived. I am smitten with Jenny's Pizza & Subs. I'm not one to be easily smitten, except perhaps when I've had a bit to drink - but I was sober when I went to Jenny's. For the last month, I've made a Friday night habit out of her. Jenny's is close to Somerville, where my musician friends have a studio. I go to Jenny's whenever I'm supposed to do the piano parts for my friends, then we go to the studio and work really hard on full, blissful stomachs until about 4 or 5 in the morning. We run on the fuel that Jenny's unflaggingly provides (ok, that and the liquor store down the street). I order the same thing every time because it hits the spot every time without fail: a grilled vegetarian sub with provolone cheese and no eggplant. Although the food is always served piping hot and fresh, it's not only the food that keeps me faithful. My main man Joey remembered my preferences down to the minute details immediately after my first visit and even asked about me when I didn't show up one Friday. This kind of customer service is old school: completely uncalculated and completely unheard of these days. You're not supposed to matter, remember? It's so unnecessary to have a name and a face and a set of preferences. At both Starbucks and Bank of America, I've been regularly asked for my name. The corporate world has caught on to the fact that it needs to come across as less corporate in order to maintain the loyalty of their customers. It is possible to get good customer service at both Starbucks and B of A - I don't want to offend the people who work there and who, against the odds, do a good job. But the fact of the matter is that when I'm asked for my name at Starbucks or B of A, it's because it blatantly facilitates their job for them to do so. My name will get written down on a cup (Starbucks) or on the line-up list of people to be helped (B of A), but this isn't a desire of theirs so much as it was dictated by the corporate structure for them to take down their customer's names. If that concierge at B of A hands me another flyer when I come in or asks me if I need help when it's clear I'm just there to deposit a prosaic check, I'll need to have an anger orgy. By contrast, the staff at Jenny's genuinely cares for their customers, not due to corporate compulsion but out of commitment to mutual satisfaction. It's not a corny throwback to quainter days and it shouldn't be confused with courtesy. It's a simple relationship: I know what I want and Jenny knows how to please me. If only human relationships were always so direct. Je t'aime Jenny. PS - I can't vouch for the pizza or salads because I haven't had any, but the subs and sandwiches are reliably out of this world. Make sure to ask for extra lettuce or onions or whatever it is that you're into. Just be careful where you end up parking because the street signs are tricky and you can easily get fined, which would detract from all the money you're saving due to Jenny's ridiculously reasonable prices. read more

Terrible. I ordered a sandwich and a salad to be delivered. I literally live down the street from this place, but I waited over an hour and the food never came. I called and was told the food was on the way, but there was no apology or explanation for the super long wait. I waited 15 more minutes and finally cancelled the order. I don't have time for this. If they are not able to accommodate the lunch demand, they should notify people when they accept orders. read more

This place was awesome when it was on main street, then it moved and was still awesome, then some new owners bought it and about half of Charlestown ordered cold cut subs and were hospitalized within a week...It's safe to eat there again and the chicken parms and steak bombs are fucking classics. I don't even think I've actually had their pizza since I was like 10 though. read more
