14" cheese pizza--we think Neapolitan since it's square (??) but since our order was wrong we're not sure! ($14.00 on Doordash, October 2020
    Logan D.

Pros: -Solid pizza! -They included free garlic knots with our delivery order Cons: -Order mixup: we ordered one NY style crust cheese and one Neapolitan style cheese to see which we liked better (and to help others as I wanted to see a side by side photo as I was considering ordering but couldn't find one), but they seemingly gave us two of the same type--we're assuming both Neapolitan because it's square? -Relatedly, I wanted to email them a photo to ask them to confirm type of crust we got, but their website is only partially filled out and the rest is a template so I couldn't find an actual email address Despite the wrong order and difficulty to get in touch to send a photo, we were happy with the pizza and would definitely order again!

I love la befana, the pizza always taste so fresh and yummy. I don't eat at the restaurant because there isn't really any space. The workers take your order and have you on your way. I love this pizza and always come back to it!

Fantastic experience. The order came early, they threw in free garlic knots, and the pizza was awesome! Italian style- with fresh mozzarella, a nicely flavored sauce, roasted red pepper, basil, and tasty meatballs. As a New York and New Haven pizza lover, the thin crust made me happy :).

La Befana Pizzeria is located on North Beacon Street by where it converts into Brighton Avenue when it crosses Cambridge Street. When you order their pizzas on their website, you are taken to a website powered by ChowNow. According to another review, they are also on the Slice pizza delivery app. I have a membership at Foodler which was taken over by Grubhub last year, so that's where I went. Delivery is a zero charge at Grubhub, and they offer Free Garlic Knots with purchase of $20 or more, which was nice, since there would be no question of will they or won't they toss in some free knots? I set the order following order for delivery to my friend's, and they had delivered almost 10 min early, while I had arrived a couple of minutes late due to a wrong turn: . 2 orders Sweet Potato French Fries with Honey Mustard $9.00 each . Vibrant Veggie Pizza, Extra Large 18" Pizza $21.00 . Italian Bomb Pizza, Extra Large 18" Pizza $21.00 . Grilled Chicken Alfredo with Broccoli and Roasted Garlic Pizza, Extra Large 18" Pizza $20.00 The food came hot, and the order complete. What was missing? Plates, napkins. I hadn't asked, but didn't think I needed to. Bummer. Good thing we were at a home where our host was able to wrangle up some plates from Costco, and we made do with paper towels. Their garlic knots were wonderful! The sweet potato fries nicely sweet and terrific with the honey mustard. Personally I felt the pizzas to be a tad bland, while another DC told me that she liked them very much. We managed to feed 9 stomachs with this order along with some deliciously sweet fresh fruit provided by our host.

Super authentic Italian Pizza. My italian coworkers list this as one of their favorite places in Boston! The delivery is also always prompt and polite. Delicious smelling and scrumptious. We had the pesto spaghetti ($8) and chicken parm with ziti ($13) last night. It came with a generous complimentary order of garlic knots +marinara. The pesto wasn't my favorite- perhaps it wasnt quite hot enough bc delivery, by my friend's chicken parm pasta was so incredible I may just order it tonight. Great, quick delivery. We ordered through slice this time. Took 45 min and $2 fee. But slice has great referral programs and customer service (not paid, just love that theres an app just for pizza)

    Meatball, sausage, and ricotta! Amazing.

First time trying La Befana. I really enjoyed it. It was only ~ $25 for an 18" 3 topping pizza and garlic knots. We got italian sausage, meatballs, and ricotta. I appreciated the fact the toppings were evenly distributed on the pizza and not too large/chunky, especially the ricotta. The sauce that came with the garlic knots was great too, slightly chunky and very flavorful!

Been here several times but never had a chance to post a review of this place. I usually ordered the chicken Parmesan with spaghetti or the meatballs . Comes out with enough tomato sauces and the chicken are cook to perfection. The pizza are pretty good here and the slices they offered are huge and it's like two normal slices combined. The staffs there are pretty nice and friendly. Food never disappoint here. Oh and the fresh garlic knots are Delicious.

Finding parking here can be a bit challenging so plan accordingly! I was craving some pizza for dinner and found this place not far from where I was. First thing you notice when you walk in is how small the place is. There's literally 2 tables here (1 that can fit two people, the other larger table can probably fit 8+? I would definitely plan on carry out here since there's a slim chance you'll have a place to sit otherwise. Their menu is pretty expansive. Do yourself a favor and admire the chalk menu but stick to the print outs since it'll all be in one location and easier to read (you'll be there all day otherwise). I ordered a medium meatball and margherita pizza that actually comes with a side of garlic bread knots and a size of marinara sauce. The pizza is a Neapolitan style pizza (made with San Marzano tomatoes grown specifically in a region of Italy) and has a thin crunchy crust. The pizza itself was delicious (especially with the fresh basil) and the garlic knots were also surprisingly buttery and tasty with the marinara sauce. They also have a ton of pizza slices available so there's bound to be something you're hankering for if you give it a good glance. The pizza is slightly pricier but the ingredients itself makes it very much worthwhile. I'll be back to try some of their other pizzas!

A medium barbecue pizza for $15. It's really more like an XL.

La Befana?! More like La Bella!! Pizza itself is already a beautiful god given masterpiece that humans devour in great awakening to life's most valuable treasures... but holy hell, La Befana you make me want to change my religion so I can bow down to the beauty that is made in your pizza kitchen. The price is unbeatable. A medium is more like a hefty large. For approximately $14-17, a gourmet medium size pizza will last you many honorable Netflix innings. In fact, the Johnny BBQ I ordered was significantly larger than many pizzas in the Brighton and Allston area. So you're definitely getting a steal for the price. Also, cannoli? Oh Jesus, Mary, and Joseph!!! To die for! Quite figuratively. I don't know why I have so many religious puns in this review, but it's probably because this pizza is so heavenly. Bahdumtss. But seriously, order from here. You'll transform into a Befana zealot. And together, we shall pizza cult together and forever.

Ordered one medium and one X Large size pizzas and received both Medium. Called in, got refunded for the price difference (appreciate that) but have a big family and some even didn't get a slice! The lady (she was apologetic and polite) told us that we will have to place a new order, if want X large size. And that is another 40-50 mins of wait It was supposed to be a chill movie night but now I have to go and cook something for those family members that are still hungry or never got a chance to eat....... The pizza was tasty, not complaining on the quality, and would still offer this place but Been a customer for many years and just expected a better service if mistake was made

Please note the following review is based on pick up only!! Delicious. This is the only word to describe the pizza here. The order is made fast and because I pick up, it's easy to do. The pizza even has a liner which helps cover the grease (small amount). Small tip - you get the garlic knots for free if you order a large pizza!! You can't go wrong with the flavors and my fav has been the El Sid. Sooo good!!! Parking is limited but there is some spots nearby at a diner/7-Eleven so it's not too bad.

The dining room is fairly small with some bar seating available as well. It was clean and bright. It took about 7 mins for the server to come over and she lead with "are you ready to order?" I guess simple pleasantries are useless anyway. We knew our drinks and appetizers order but not what we wanted for pizza yet so we ordered those and told her we'd order pizzas when the apps and drinks came. She came back about 3 minutes later and asked if we were ready to order yet. Feeling pressured, we ordered thinking that perhaps they close soon (not the case). The bartender delivered our drinks a few minutes later and about 5 mins after that both the appetizers and pizza arrived at the same time. Besides the fact that our table wasn't large enough to accommodate all that food and drink, it was never our intention to eat our appetizers with our meal. The good news is that the food was hot, fresh and tasty. The potato bombs were excellent. Crispy home fry like potatoes and the peppers had a nice heat. I would love to try the popper version next time. The pizzas were good too, but be prepared for floppy and slightly under done base crust but a perfectly charred edge crust. I find many wood fired pizza to come this way but I did see other reviews mention this as a negative. The bill comes in a small ball jar with a delicious rice crispy treat. While the jar worked it must have made it hard to see that I dropped my credit card in it, so after the waitress walked by a few times I removed the card and made it visible on the table. When the tab came to sign I was not given a pen. I should have walked out and just let them charge me for just the tab but I cannot stiff waitstaff, even when it's poor service. My only hope is that it was the waitress's first day and she somehow figures out the typical cadence and procedure involved in waiting tables. Food was a solid 4 but service was a 2 so I landed on a 3. I would definitely go back hoping for a better server.

The drinks menu is impressive too, with a large selection of beers on tap plus wine, cocktails, and mocktails. For food, we kept it simple and shared our way through the menu. The Farm Green salad was crisp and fresh, pa perfect starter. Then came the asparagus, roasted in the wood-fired oven and served with a sauce that elevated the whole dish. The prosciutto slices were perfectly salty, rich in fat, and smooth, wrapped around the refreshing sweetness of kumquats, the delicate creaminess of stracciatella cheese, the crunch and nutty aroma of pistachios, and topped with a smoky touch of sumac powder. It had a rich and distinct flavor profile while offering a gentle and comfortable taste. Spaghetti: The refreshing lemon and basil paired with the umami crab meat is a classic combination. Chili oil added a touch of spice and aroma, while pea tendrils provided a light herbal fragrance. The sauce was emulsified very smoothly, making it both rich and palatable, although the spaghetti itself didn't leave a particularly strong impression. Half Chicken Milanese: A large portion, perfect as a main course to share. The chicken cutlet was thick, fried to a fragrant perfection, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Wrapped in lettuce and eaten with mayonnaise, it brought back memories of the fast food stalls outside my school when I was a child. This was my first time trying rhubarb stems. The tangy and refreshing taste cut through the richness, and the texture was like softer celery and firmer green bell peppers - quite interesting. Duck Bacon Pizza: The most highly rated pizza online, and it was truly delicious! The rich, savory flavor of the duck bacon, the succulent richness of the shimeji mushrooms, and the mellow sweetness of the caramelized onions, combined with the creamy cheese base, made it a calorie bomb, but I still felt it was the right choice. Unfortunately, the crust was a bit hard, making it difficult to cut with a knife. Cotechino Pizza: This was my first time trying a pizza with sweet potatoes, and I couldn't help but admire their innovation. The colors were vibrant, and the sweetness of the sweet potatoes paired with the smoky aroma of Cotechino sausage bits created a full yet harmonious flavor, evoking the feeling of being in the southern Italian countryside in early autumn, basking in the bright sunshine and the satisfaction of a bountiful harvest. The restaurant offered menus printed with "Happy Birthday," and the waiters provided professional cake-cutting service. Overall, a very comfortable experience.
