14" cheese pizza--we think Neapolitan since it's square (??) but since our order was wrong we're not sure! ($14.00 on Doordash, October 2020

Pros: -Solid pizza! -They included free garlic knots with our delivery order Cons: -Order mixup: we ordered one NY style crust cheese and one Neapolitan style cheese to see which we liked better (and to help others as I wanted to see a side by side photo as I was considering ordering but couldn't find one), but they seemingly gave us two of the same type--we're assuming both Neapolitan because it's square? -Relatedly, I wanted to email them a photo to ask them to confirm type of crust we got, but their website is only partially filled out and the rest is a template so I couldn't find an actual email address Despite the wrong order and difficulty to get in touch to send a photo, we were happy with the pizza and would definitely order again!

I love la befana, the pizza always taste so fresh and yummy. I don't eat at the restaurant because there isn't really any space. The workers take your order and have you on your way. I love this pizza and always come back to it!

Fantastic experience. The order came early, they threw in free garlic knots, and the pizza was awesome! Italian style- with fresh mozzarella, a nicely flavored sauce, roasted red pepper, basil, and tasty meatballs. As a New York and New Haven pizza lover, the thin crust made me happy :).

La Befana Pizzeria is located on North Beacon Street by where it converts into Brighton Avenue when it crosses Cambridge Street. When you order their pizzas on their website, you are taken to a website powered by ChowNow. According to another review, they are also on the Slice pizza delivery app. I have a membership at Foodler which was taken over by Grubhub last year, so that's where I went. Delivery is a zero charge at Grubhub, and they offer Free Garlic Knots with purchase of $20 or more, which was nice, since there would be no question of will they or won't they toss in some free knots? I set the order following order for delivery to my friend's, and they had delivered almost 10 min early, while I had arrived a couple of minutes late due to a wrong turn: . 2 orders Sweet Potato French Fries with Honey Mustard $9.00 each . Vibrant Veggie Pizza, Extra Large 18" Pizza $21.00 . Italian Bomb Pizza, Extra Large 18" Pizza $21.00 . Grilled Chicken Alfredo with Broccoli and Roasted Garlic Pizza, Extra Large 18" Pizza $20.00 The food came hot, and the order complete. What was missing? Plates, napkins. I hadn't asked, but didn't think I needed to. Bummer. Good thing we were at a home where our host was able to wrangle up some plates from Costco, and we made do with paper towels. Their garlic knots were wonderful! The sweet potato fries nicely sweet and terrific with the honey mustard. Personally I felt the pizzas to be a tad bland, while another DC told me that she liked them very much. We managed to feed 9 stomachs with this order along with some deliciously sweet fresh fruit provided by our host.

Super authentic Italian Pizza. My italian coworkers list this as one of their favorite places in Boston! The delivery is also always prompt and polite. Delicious smelling and scrumptious. We had the pesto spaghetti ($8) and chicken parm with ziti ($13) last night. It came with a generous complimentary order of garlic knots +marinara. The pesto wasn't my favorite- perhaps it wasnt quite hot enough bc delivery, by my friend's chicken parm pasta was so incredible I may just order it tonight. Great, quick delivery. We ordered through slice this time. Took 45 min and $2 fee. But slice has great referral programs and customer service (not paid, just love that theres an app just for pizza)

    Meatball, sausage, and ricotta! Amazing.

First time trying La Befana. I really enjoyed it. It was only ~ $25 for an 18" 3 topping pizza and garlic knots. We got italian sausage, meatballs, and ricotta. I appreciated the fact the toppings were evenly distributed on the pizza and not too large/chunky, especially the ricotta. The sauce that came with the garlic knots was great too, slightly chunky and very flavorful!

Been here several times but never had a chance to post a review of this place. I usually ordered the chicken Parmesan with spaghetti or the meatballs . Comes out with enough tomato sauces and the chicken are cook to perfection. The pizza are pretty good here and the slices they offered are huge and it's like two normal slices combined. The staffs there are pretty nice and friendly. Food never disappoint here. Oh and the fresh garlic knots are Delicious.

Finding parking here can be a bit challenging so plan accordingly! I was craving some pizza for dinner and found this place not far from where I was. First thing you notice when you walk in is how small the place is. There's literally 2 tables here (1 that can fit two people, the other larger table can probably fit 8+? I would definitely plan on carry out here since there's a slim chance you'll have a place to sit otherwise. Their menu is pretty expansive. Do yourself a favor and admire the chalk menu but stick to the print outs since it'll all be in one location and easier to read (you'll be there all day otherwise). I ordered a medium meatball and margherita pizza that actually comes with a side of garlic bread knots and a size of marinara sauce. The pizza is a Neapolitan style pizza (made with San Marzano tomatoes grown specifically in a region of Italy) and has a thin crunchy crust. The pizza itself was delicious (especially with the fresh basil) and the garlic knots were also surprisingly buttery and tasty with the marinara sauce. They also have a ton of pizza slices available so there's bound to be something you're hankering for if you give it a good glance. The pizza is slightly pricier but the ingredients itself makes it very much worthwhile. I'll be back to try some of their other pizzas!

A medium barbecue pizza for $15. It's really more like an XL.

La Befana?! More like La Bella!! Pizza itself is already a beautiful god given masterpiece that humans devour in great awakening to life's most valuable treasures... but holy hell, La Befana you make me want to change my religion so I can bow down to the beauty that is made in your pizza kitchen. The price is unbeatable. A medium is more like a hefty large. For approximately $14-17, a gourmet medium size pizza will last you many honorable Netflix innings. In fact, the Johnny BBQ I ordered was significantly larger than many pizzas in the Brighton and Allston area. So you're definitely getting a steal for the price. Also, cannoli? Oh Jesus, Mary, and Joseph!!! To die for! Quite figuratively. I don't know why I have so many religious puns in this review, but it's probably because this pizza is so heavenly. Bahdumtss. But seriously, order from here. You'll transform into a Befana zealot. And together, we shall pizza cult together and forever.

    Zulfiya R.

Ordered one medium and one X Large size pizzas and received both Medium. Called in, got refunded for the price difference (appreciate that) but have a big family and some even didn't get a slice! The lady (she was apologetic and polite) told us that we will have to place a new order, if want X large size. And that is another 40-50 mins of wait It was supposed to be a chill movie night but now I have to go and cook something for those family members that are still hungry or never got a chance to eat....... The pizza was tasty, not complaining on the quality, and would still offer this place but Been a customer for many years and just expected a better service if mistake was made

Please note the following review is based on pick up only!! Delicious. This is the only word to describe the pizza here. The order is made fast and because I pick up, it's easy to do. The pizza even has a liner which helps cover the grease (small amount). Small tip - you get the garlic knots for free if you order a large pizza!! You can't go wrong with the flavors and my fav has been the El Sid. Sooo good!!! Parking is limited but there is some spots nearby at a diner/7-Eleven so it's not too bad.

Amazing pizza at reasonable prices! I had the four (or five?) cheese pizza and the BBQ chicken pizza slices (which are really two slices) for I think $3.50 each, which came to $7-ish total. Both pizzas were excellent. The cheese one was packed with so much flavor because of the boat load of cheese they put on it. It was oozing with cheese-y goodness while the crust was still heavenly crispy. It was DIVINE. The BBQ one was good too, loaded with a chicken and drizzled with this lip-smacking good BBQ sauce. I really liked the cheese one more, but, both pizzas were great. Overall, great joint to get amazing pizza and great prices! I'll be back.

Parking in the area can be a bit tricky, but it's super convenient to get to via the Green Line, which made it easy overall. The crispy cauliflower was my favorite dish of the night, so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The rigatoni bolognese was solid and comforting. The Chianti-Marsala braised beef short rib was insanely tender and cooked perfectly (just wish there were a few more mushrooms!). Also have to mention the dirty martini was so good. The taleggio was 100% our least favorite and we didn't even finish half. We had asked the waiter to describe taste profile, which they said was a "little funky" and had asked for clarification if it was closer to blue cheese. Once it arrived, it was like a verrrrrry strong/stinky Brie on the inside. The balsamic didn't really contribute to the taste at all. My guess is that this is more of an evening destination where people come for cocktails and the atmosphere rather than lunch. We ordered a Diet Coke, the Scampi appetizer, Carbonara, and the Rigatoni Alla Vodka. The scampi was easily the best part of the meal. It was flavorful, cooked well, and made for a nice appetizer to start things off. Unfortunately, the pastas didn't quite meet expectations, especially considering the price. The Rigatoni Alla Vodka was $28, but the pasta wasn't cooked al dente and felt overdone. The Carbonara, also $28, was disappointing as the eggs had curdled and the dish ended up being much oilier than I expected. At $18, the scampi was enjoyable, but overall I don't think the food justified the price point. One bright spot was the service. Our waitress was incredibly kind, checked in on us frequently, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The restaurant itself is beautiful and has a very aesthetic design. I can definitely see why it's popular on social media. There is also outdoor seating, which I imagine would be a nice option on a warm summer evening. One thing I did notice, though, is how closely the tables are spaced together. Since the restaurant was mostly empty during our visit it wasn't an issue, but I could see it feeling crowded and fairly loud once the dining room fills up. I was honestly surprised by the meal because Gigi is part of the Mazi Restaurant Group, and I've really enjoyed some of their other concepts, especially Kava Neo-Taverna. Based on this experience, though, I think there are plenty of Italian restaurants in Boston that offer better food and better value for the same price. Overall, I'd give Gigi 3/5 stars. The service and atmosphere were both strong, but the food didn't live up to the pricing. If I came back, it would probably be for drinks, appetizers, and the ambiance rather than a full Italian dinner.
