I ordered pizza from here during lunch which was fine. They open at 11 so i ordered for pick up which was fine they don't take payments over the phone so that was kinda annoying but okay. When i paid they told me that there was a charge for using a credit card. So i ordered a large chicken buffalo ranch and paid like $43 i felt like that was a bit overpriced. Let's talk about the pizza i felt like the dough was overly stretched and it the topping weight was not proportional to the dough which was regular crust. The taste and toppings of the pizza were good but i wish the crust was toasted better from the bottom or maybe the toppings on top made the pizza soggy from the bottom. Im not sure. I got the lunch special for $10.99. Love that there were nutritious greens, sometimes all you get is iceberg lettuce at some of these pizza joints for their lunch special salads. Pizza slice was smaller than expected, i was expecting a giant slice or at least something bigger than a Chuck E Ceese slice. Back was burned a bit and crust was hard as a rock. It took some time before someone came to the counter to take our order. We weren't in a huge hurry, so that was fine, although not ideal. However, the food was less than expected. The pizza had a huge edge, probably about an inch or more thick throughout. The cheese and toppings all fell off as we pulled out slices, and the ham was very pink and flimsy. Ordered takeout and was surprised it was empty considering its next to ELAC. Very delicious food for a reasonable price. My boyfriend and I shared a small (but generous portions) baked mostaccioli and a calzone. Both items had an abundance of cheese (my fave!!!) and they certainly did not skimp out on toppings!! Read the good reviews about the chicken Alfredo pasta so I decided to give them a try. The girl on the phone didn't sound friendly at all. Went in to pick up my pasta and the machine declined both of my cards. I use those cards every single day with no issues. So I paid cash and the girl cashier didn't even say thank you. Funny how you pass by a place for years and years. You know it's there but it doesn't look especially exciting or anything. You look away without a second thought, never even considering eating there. In all fairness, part of the lack of interest was in part, due to the lack of parking back in the good old days before the plague when ELAC had actual classes on campus. Traffic in that area was insane, students always parked in the lot reserved for Pizza Time and the other businesses around there so there was never any parking near there anyway. Plus, their sign bugged me. It's "PIZZA TIME" , of course, but the "A" is a slice of Pizza. Cute except it's pointing the wrong way. If you want it to resemble an "A", the crust end of the Pizza should be on the bottom resembling the bottom of an "A", no? With the pointy end at the top. For some unknown reason the Pizza slice representing the "A" is actually in a "V" position, making the sign look like "PIZZV TIME". (See picture). I just want to climb up there and spin the Pizza slice to the right position. I guess subconsciously i might have thought, in years past, that they can't be that great seeing as that Pizza slice mishap was allowed to happen on their sign, but I digress... If one good thing has come out of this covid nightmare, it's our discovery of Pizza Time last week. They make Italian food that rivals, if not surpasses, even the finest Italian restaurants and no... I'm not exaggerating. We stopped in just to see what it had because, guess what? Empty parking lot so why not?The place was kind of blah simple /no decor or even anything to be honest, other than the menus on the walls. Kind of like if Mike Pence was a fast food Pizza joint. It was shiny, spotless clean with an "A" grade on the door. My hubs ordered for us while I ran around the corner to get something from Daiso. We waited outside and were the only customers for the 15-20 minutes we waited for our order. (Hint: Call your order in and no waiting) My other half surprised me by ordering 2 calzones and a side of hot wings. I'm usually not a big fan of calzones because it's just too much bread, but I was hungry and kept it to myself. We drove home in all of three minutes because that's how close we live to Pizza Time! After comfortably parking our butts in front of the tv, I took a bite of that humongous calzone and O H. M Y. G O D ! People! Listen to me! That was simply the best damn calzone I've ever had in my entire life and no...I'm not exaggerating! I look at that gorgeous man beside me and I could see he was having "a special moment" with his bite as well. I can't explain why they're so good other than they must use the best quality ingredients which they are very generous with and the dough is light, yeasty, and toasted just right. The wings were good as well, but I was so busy falling in love with a friggen calzone, that I barely noticed them. The Mister felt the same way and in fact he is the one who said I should write a review. One calzone fed me three times over the next 2 days and my husband , twice. A few days later, we called in our order, 2 more calzones, repeat performance = another mouthgasm! Today we wondered if some of their other items were as yummy. He ordered a large grinder sandwich and a large turkey one for me even though I wanted small. (No wonder I never lose these pesky 10 lbs.) "They'll be good," I said, "but nothing like those damn calzones" . I was wrong. Those were the best damn Italian sandwiches we've ever had and repeat performance= mouthgasm AGAIN! I've gone on far too long but suffice it to say, that little boring shop usually hidden by 50 million cars and hundreds of ELAC students will kick that thing you sit on.
