The only parking is curbside, is extremely limited, and can be problematic at busy times or on days when there are special events (such as today's FIFA Final Match). It doesn't look like a Detroit style that I'm familiar with but don't let that fool you. The flavor coming off this pie satisfied my craving. I'm loving the crispy pep and spicy sauce. It's not overwhelming to where you can't enjoy but has just enough heat to make you feel it. Crust is flavorful and garlicky. I like the pizza here especially on Wednesdays and Sundays when they have a special for Jumbo size (18") specialty pizzas. My favorite is the "supreme" pizza. It is filled with lots of toppings. Excellent pizza. This place is located on a busy street. There is a small "green zone" for people to stop briefly in front of the restaurant and run in to pick up their food. There is also a small parking area in back of the restaurant. But it is not easy to find a space. I recommend bringing someone with you when you go pick up your food from Jay's. Someone can run in to get the food while another person wait in the car. I highly recommend ordering food in advance since there is no place to dine in. And the wait can be long when they are busy. If you're living in or just passing through the northern side of Montebello to visit the Top Golf then Jay's HAS TO be the spot you hit for pizza! I'm a long time patron whether they know it or not. I live in the area and have returned to, and recommended Jay's countless times. My favorite thing about their pizza is quite honestly the dough they use for the crust. It's soft, tastes like fresh baked bread and is irresistibly dippable in whatever sauce you get. Oh, and there's of course the toppings that go on the crust! The cheese? Sharp and stretchy. It's firm and melty. The toppings are always good, I've had just about everything they offer and have never had anything bad. The wings they offer are on the bigger side and have always been perfectly coated and cooked. I've never had dry or skimpy wings from Jay's. Their service is impeccable and they always have a good attitude. Their dining area is warm and spacious. They have TV's. For the longest time since Jay's opened up, I'd pass by and wonder if it was any good? This location had been 2 other pizza companies before from what I could remember. Then I saw an Instagram post from a friend's relative with pictures of food from Jay's, and quite often so I got to ask someone how it was. Then I tried it and was pleased. But my most recent order was a little unsatisfactory. I ordered a pizza with 6 piece hot wings mild. I prefer thin crust and forgot to request that but the wings fell short; literally one piece was just the nub of the drummette. And the skin usually is a little more crispy, this time it was more fatty, not sure if it was because this was 45 mins before closing? Was looking forward to a Jay's Pizza delivery last Sunday. We've been long time customers. When the young lady at the pizza location calls my residence to say the delivery guy is outside our house. There was no one there. The young lady was rudely adamant that the delivery guy was at my home. Long story short delivery guy was lost and at the wrong house. No apologies from either the young lady or the manager who got on the phone. Disappointed, we asked for a refund. The sunday jumbo pizza promo is a great deal. A lot of food for the price. The pizza itself is pretty nice. The dough is crunchy on the outside and kinda fluffy in the inside. The toppings are interesting, but a bit on the salty side. If you like your food salty, this one's for you. I've been coming to this pizza joint when it used to be red devil pizza (great pizza and great service) but since they've opened up as Jays pizza, their customer service is shit! They don't greet you or welcome you as you pull up to the counter. The staff literally look like they're miserable and look like they don't want to be there. I hate that this is the closest pizza place around my home (Italian restaurant across the street is too expensive). I think I'm gonna have to now go to Vittorias in Alhambra. They had a set message stating something to the effect that my call couldn't go through then it would just ring and ring. They finally answered didn't say anything just put me on hold for 15mins and then proceeded to hang up on me. Reached out to my family member to ask if anyone else was experiencing the same thing on the team and she wasn't aware of it but when she went to pick up her order the owner was so rude.
