    12 King Bee Pizza
    Jennifer S. M.

My husband and I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon to redeem an offer from the SGV passport. Buy one whole pizza, get the second one free of equal or lesser value. Coldpizza is located inside the Blvd Market across the entrance to their outdoor seating area. We were greeted right away and both gentlemen explained how to redeem the offer. They were friendly and accommodating. My husband ordered the King Bee pizza and I got the Margarita Pizza with vegan cheese. We waited about 10 mins for our food. Our chef was kind enough to fold the top of the pizza boxes down so we could enjoy a few slices before taking the rest home. What I loved most about the Margarita Pizza is the simplicity of it. Every ingredient played well together. The tomato, fresh basil, chopped garlic, and vegan cheese made my palate dance! I enjoyed consuming the two slices I had while they were still hot. Every bite was light and fresh! Overall, I would come back and order this one again because the food and service were great. Thanks, Coldpizza!

I've been trying to find good pizza in SGV and saw Coldpizza come up on my search. This is located in a cool small-ish food hall type area. There's a brewery and other restaurant. There's also tons of seating and multiple tvs to watch the game. I came in and ordered and opted for a pepperoni pizza. The wait was not overly long and I watched the dodgers game while waiting. I took it back home and dug in. The pizza was pretty good and toppings were solid. The only thing was that 1/3 of my pizza had burnt crust, so I couldn't eat it, which was a shame because the crust was pretty good. I also wanted to saw that the pizza was a little pricey, so I was a bummed out that I couldn't enjoy the whole pizza. Overall, I thought Coldpizza was pretty good, it's great to go for the ambience and decent pizza.

The pizza was really good and you could taste the quality from the first bite. The crust was thin yet still soft and fluffy, with a satisfying chew, and the flavors were excellent throughout. We ordered quite a bit of food that day at the BLVD Market so we ended up taking some of the pizza home. Even the next day after reheating it in the oven it was still delicious. I would definitely recommend it!

Yum yum yum. Ordered ahead online and they said order would be ready in 20 minutes. Got there way after 20 minutes and maybe 1 hour later before we ate, but the pizza was still very good. Ate 3 sliced before realizing this was my second lunch... Got the classic Margherita. Crust was really good. Not soggy at all and not too hard or too chewy. If you like garlic, you could definitely taste the garlicky sauce. I don't love garlic so that's my only downside. But overall very happy with it. This place is located in some sort of food court/hall.

I was in the area and had my SGV food passport with me. I decided to try out ColdPizza. This place is nestled in a tiny food court in the city of Montebello. When I arrived around noon, there was a post-it sign on the register stating they would be open at 4pm. Darn. However, there was a gentleman behind the counter sorting things out. He saw me and was so sweet. He said he was going to run some errands, but would make my pizzas anyway. I was so appreciative of his kindness for doing that. I ordered two pizza which took a while to make. I think it was because the wood fire oven wasn't fully operational so it needed to preheat. I didn't mind it though. He was actually doing me a favor for even "opening." When I picked up my order, he gave me bottles of water for free. The pizzas were so good; fresh and flavorful! Crust was crispy, not burnt. Cheese was stringy and basil was potent. Aside from the great food, the customer service was above average! I'll definitely be back. Thank you.

Cold Pizza is probably my favorite spot in Blvd Market. We always get the King Bee pizza and the other half mushroom, pineapple, and jalapeño, such a perfect combo. Their wings are also insanely good, especially well done. Joe is seriously the nicest owner ever. They didn't have jalapeños today, but somehow he sourced them and they magically appeared on my pizza The pizza is light but still packed with so much flavor. One of those spots that never disappoints.

Cold Pizza was my worth it winner for the day!! Some friends and I shared a lot of the different food options. From Pupusas to sliders...I'm so glad a friend convinced me to share pizza! Great service! Great pizza!!! Great Ambiance!! Pizza and Beer!! No Brainer!!

    Cheese pizza.

The pizza was delivered quickly, and the crispy wood-fired style paired nicely with the lively energy of a DJ crushing it at the Montebello street fair. I ordered both a cheese pizza and a Margherita. The Margherita had a bit too much crust and not quite enough cheese for my taste, and I found myself adding a pepper packet to the cheese pizza for extra flavor. Overall, it's good pizza, but I personally prefer skipping the wood-fired crispiness and getting more value and toppings elsewhere, like Jay's Pizza. That said, if you enjoy the distinct flavor of wood-fired pizza, this spot is a nice hang.

If you love freshly made thin crust pizzas, this is a great place. Pizzas are made to order and baked in a fire oven. Ordered take out but would come back for dine in. Their prices are bit steep in my opinion. Build Your Own -12 inches starts at $17 plain topped with basil. Each additional topping is between $1 to $1.75, Burrata is $2.50 The Luau Pizza -12 inches at $20. Hot capocollo, pineapple, garlic, mike's hot honey, side of BBQ sauce Pizza dough is was crispy on the outside and slight chew throughout. Ordered The Luau Pizza online for pick up, they ran out of pineapple and was replaced with grape tomatoes. Tomatoes still paired well with the other toppings.

Great pizza offering with quick service at the BLVD MRKT food hall. Menu has a few specialty pizza options and additionally a build your own option. Pizza is wood fired. Slightly charred. Thin and crispy. Quality ingredients, balanced very well. Went with a simple pepperoni for the first time around and it was great. Definitely will return to try their specialty pizzas. And also, Alchemy Craft, which is in the same building, has your beer and other drink options taken care of, to pair your pizza with of course.

I'm a fan of pizza so definitely want to try most pizza places. Saw this place on Yelp nearby as we were supposed to bring food over for a friend's gathering. It was located near their house and had good review. We ended up ordering their pepperoni pizza with a few other toppings. Got it to go so wasn't piping hot like how I like my pizzas. However, the pizza was pretty good. I'd say one of the better pizza places I've gone to. Probably will have to come back next time for the ambiance and just chill and hang out there. Otherwise, the pizza was good and hoping I can come order again next time I'm in the area.

We didn't come for the pizza but we left with some! We ended up chatting with the owners and they so graciously gave us a few samples to take home since we were staring at the menu and admiring the pizzas while chowing down on our cheeseburgers. The crus of the pizza is thin and crispy and the combination of the pepperoni, creamy burrata and the spicy honey just works to make a perfect piece of pizza. The textures, taste and heat are sooo good! We will be back to get some whole pies soon!!! Can't wait to try what else they have to offer.

Great place! I really enjoyed the hot honey burrata pizza and the margarita. The pizza was crispy, fresh and airy. Not super heavy but more like a light pizza with great toppings. Owner was super nice and runs the place by himself. I would definitely recommend! The patio is also dog friendly.

The mashed potatoes were incredibly soft, creamy, and full of flavor. We ordered the Margherita pizza and a cheese pizza for the kids, and both were delicious. The pizzas were cooked in a wood-fired brick oven, and you could really taste the difference. The carbonara was one of my favorite dishes. It came with an egg yolk on top that you mix into the pasta, making it rich, creamy, and flavorful. The lobster linguine was another standout dish. We also ordered the pork wings, which were so tender they practically fell off the bone and were served over delicious mashed potatoes. The mushroom ravioli was unique, comforting, and packed with flavor. We also shared the ribeye steak, which was cooked perfectly and was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. What really made the experience special was the service. The owner regularly stopped by to check on our table and make sure everything was good, and everyone working there was friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout the meal. Overall, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, the service was excellent, and every dish tasted like it was made with care and love. This was one of the best Italian meals I've had in a long time, and we'll definitely be back!

We were seated right away, and the place already had quite a few people dining inside. The experience started a little off for me when ordering. I asked for the spaghetti carbonara with added chicken, and was told no because it already came with bacon. I understood that, but I still wanted to add chicken. I then asked if I could order the penne pasta dish with chicken but substitute a different pasta since I'm not a fan of penne, and again was told no. I've been to plenty of restaurants that don't allow certain substitutions, but simply adding chicken seemed like a reasonable request, especially since I didn't mind paying extra for it. It just felt a little strange being told no to every option. That said, the other staff members were attentive and provided good service throughout the meal. The restaurant itself is casual and had a steady crowd while we were there. I also noticed the entire staff working that night appeared to be male, just an observation. The food itself was really good. The baby greens salad, pasta dish, and chicken portobello were all very flavorful and enjoyable. Overall, I left with mixed feelings because the food was solid, but the ordering experience could have been more accommodating. Still, I would recommend giving this place a try because the food definitely delivers.

They use the same parking lot as Summerfield so it can get busy at some times. I called in to place an order for dinner and it was super easy and convenient. I ordered their Di Pilla Special pizza and a medium Parpadelle special pasta. The total for these dishes came out to be $62. Their portions are quite large since they're a family style restaurant. They also gave us complimentary bread which tasted amazing! I will say that I felt really heavy and full after this meal so this is definitely a cheat meal type of food. Food: Parpadelle Special Pasta (9/10): The noodles are huge and thick and the sauce gets absorbed perfectly. There's mushrooms, spinach, chicken with a white sauce base. They loaded this dish up with sauce which was heavenly. I even dipped my complimentary bread in the sauce because it just tasted that good. The chicken was so soft and wasn't overcooked at all. Between a family of three, there was a perfect amount and didn't have any leftovers. Di Pilla Special Pizza (9/10): Wow, the amount of toppings? Insane. We ordered the medium size which is a 14 inch. There was pepperoni, green peppers, mushrooms, onions, hamburger, and bacon. I had to go back to their menu to see what toppings there were because wow was there a load full. I thought that the mushroom and bell pepper did overpower most of the slice. We had so many slices left over because of how full each slice makes you. I had it the day after and It was still tasty. That being said, while I'm so happy to finally come back to sit and dine in after like 5+ years post pandemic, and I don't know what all has happened w the owner and her family since then, it really does pain me to say that both the Gnocchi Pesto and the Pesto Pasta w chicken that my husband and I ordered yesterday were terribly sub par. I got excited as we walked in because of how cool the vibe was inside the restaurant! Modern and clean aesthetic ... such a surprise! I had already looked at the menu the night before, so I made some suggestions for our party of four adults and kiddo. Our server brought fresh sourdough rolls with seasoned butter. Solid start. We then ordered the stuffed 'shrooms and proscuitto-arugula pizza as starters. Both were very excellent, and was tell-tale of what we were about to experience with our entrees. Entrees ordered were the rigatoni with vodka sauce, the pappardelle with shortrib (two servings but really enough food for at least four ppl!) and the chicken Parmesan salad. Everything was impressive, especially the pappardelle dish. With the beurre blanc and creamy Alfredo sauce with two huge pieces of short rib that were fork tender, it was the star of the evening. This dish is made table-side to ensure that it's eaten immediately. The portions were enough for four ppl, and the sauce is just absolutely decadent. Service was attentive and prompt. Our server was lovely! She shared her favorites with us, and we followed suit by ordering her favorite desserts too! The bread pudding was amazing, but the carrot cake, being a new recipe, was just a bit too sweet for our palates. Plenty of parking as it is onsite. Loved that!

We didn't get her name but she had glasses and septum nose piercing. She was more accommodating at then end but we were very off put at the beginning and it left a bad taste in our mouths. Our server at our table was the complete opposite. Very attentive and made the group less angry with our initial treatment. Wish I got her name to share. The desert and cocktails were nice but due to the service it did not make up for the overall experience. Desert: Tiramisu 4/5 - great flavor, ratio of cream was too much compared to cake portion Canolli 4/5 - duo flavors were nice and had a good shell with crunch Crème brûlée 2/5 - pistachio flavor was light and it's was almost too warm and liquidy. Cocktails overall some major hits and other misses. Sgroppino 5/5 - strong but with a great flavor profile Dragon fruit cocktail 2/5 - too light tasting, not much flavor or alcohol? Gave more juice Peach Bellini 4.5/5 - table side pour is nice touch and rest of bottle was nice. Syrup has a sourness but mixed in with Bellini and gelato and tasted just right. Melontini - 2.5/5 light, somewhat good flavor but nothing memorable. Ambience seems nice but it can be loud inside with open floor plan.

Well, that time FINALLY came! My sister and I were hanging out reminiscing over our late mother together, on her birthday and decided to get Italian food (her favorite). We both agreed Four Bricks would be THE SPOT! Needless to say, we were so right! We were greeted and sat with no reservation at around 4:30pm, thankfully there was no wait at that time. However, the restaurant quickly filled up. Our server was very attentive but not over bearing. For our appetizer, we chose bruschetta. 12/10 The perfectly dressed tomatoes and basil sat on a pillowy burrata cloud and melted in your mouth. YUMMMM!! I opted for the penne ala vodka, while she chose the bolognese. 10/10 The penne w/vodka sauce had a surprising hint of spice that was decadent and savory. The bolognese had a slightly creamier taste without the spice and was equally as flavorful. Finally, we ordered the lemon butter cake. 10/10 When I tell you this cake was delicious ... woahhh!! It was a nice crisp butter cake but the lemon zest paired with the coulis and fruit gave the perfect balance. We were told the restaurant would be closing and that it was the final day of service. Made us both bummed to hear since the hospitality and true Italian food with homemade pasta was such a delight. Impeccable place overall! Side note: There's a fast food style concept this place operates at also in Whittier, I hope they remain in business so I can get my pizza and panini fix there!

Good food and the workers are chill. Owner is great too…read more My experience today: I was the second person in when 4 people walked in at approximately 11:33 am. I work a couple minutes away so the drive there is quick which is perfect for my 30 minute lunch break. I tend to either order my food ahead of time so it can be ready and I just pick it up and go or I drive somewhere where I know it's quick and easy because they're not busy or because they have specials ready to pick up. Anyways, After we (the 4 people) walked in ....no one else came in, so it wasn't crazy with a line. I usually come in and get the 2 slice special. Wait is usually nonexistent since the slices are literally ready to put in a box. I was helped by another guy today (black beard, black shirt ) and felt there was no urgency from him during the " lunch hour". The pace was the same if there were 100 people or 1 of us. He took my order I sat down, he helped someone else then someone else then he shuffled some papers and got distracted by a little girl yelling across the street while waiting at the bus stop, then he headed to the back to do whatever and then came back out and answered the phone which is when I walked up and asked for a refund. I waited for a min and he noticed me then started getting the box ready for my slices and I told him to just give me a refund. He asked another guy to come over and he returned my funds back to my card and I kept the receipt and he apologized. I attached the receipt to show the time when I finally walked out 11:43 am 10 minutes after my order for two slices ready to go only a step away from the cashier. I never even got the soda cup to sip on while I waited. I may or may not return. If I do return and I see the gentleman in the black shirt that helped me today I'll just walk out. Most likely I won't be returning off this ONE experience. Do I recommend the food ? Yes Is the staff nice and attentive? Yes, Most of them Make what you want with this review but this was my experience today. I would've put this at a 4/5 review based of my past experiences but today made me drop it to 3/5. Hope this restaurant does well. I know it's hard for businesses to exist with the current economy which would make you think people should be thankful for their jobs and their income. Put a smile on, talk to the people coming in and put a little pep to your step when the lunch hour starts. Best of luck Tony's Italian delicatessen

I also appreciate that every table comes with olive oil and vinegar. We ordered the mentai cream pasta and the uni pasta. The mentai pasta was packed with umami and the pasta itself was cooked perfectly al dente. The nori and mushrooms paired really well with the sauce as well. The uni pasta was just as good. The sauce was rich and creamy and the uni on top was fresh and buttery. The meal also comes with complimentary bread and salad. The salad was light and refreshing which helped balance out the richness of the pasta. The bread was simple but great for dipping in olive oil and vinegar. The service is always friendly and efficient. If you're a fan of Japanese Italian fusion, this place is definitely worth a visit. I honestly have nothing bad to say and can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!

Recently, my son and I have been making pizzas on Friday nights as a bonding experience while my wife is out with friends. We make some, buy one, and compare. My son usually prefers his homemade, but Petrillo's is the exception! He loved the cheesy cheese pizza and the amazing cheese pull. I ordered half cheese and half their specialty pizza, which includes mozzarella, Romano cheese, house tomato sauce, Italian sausage, pepperoni, salami, mushrooms, onions, and green bell peppers. Their small pizza is 12 inches and has 8 slices, which is much larger than other places. Petrillo's Specialty Pizza is stacked with generous toppings and has a doughy but crispy bottom - the best of both worlds. I enjoyed the Specialty pizza, especially the Italian sausage. While I'm not a mushroom fan, I ate them anyway. I'll likely hold off on mushrooms next time. They provide generous amounts of complimentary crushed red pepper packets, paper plates, and napkins. Parmesan cheese packets cost extra, about $0.50 each, if I remember correctly. The staff were friendly and are local residents, which is always great to see in a mom-and-pop business. You can eat in or order from the take-out counter on the right side. It's best to order ahead to avoid a 20-25 minute wait. My only minor complaint was the pizza was a bit sloppy when I took a picture, but I understand they're busy getting orders out. I will definitely be back to Petrillo's for pizza!

I explained again that I just really needed to leave because I was gonna be late, she called her manager out, and he just walked out yelling at me without even understanding what was happening, they were super rude, ultimately he told her to give me my money back and she started counting and had no idea how much money to give me back so she closed the register and without saying anything to me she left again made me wait another five minutes for her to come back while he taught her how to make basic change and so I yelled back at them to just give me my money so I could leave ,the cashier called me an ugly ass bitch and she stole my money, so much for good customer service yeah this is the worst place ever don't go here.
