It was my first time ordering from Pizza Tonight, and overall I'd say it was pretty good. Not bad for a local spot. I've definitely had better, but it still hits the spot when you're craving pizza. The calzone here is my top local comfort food. It is SO GOOD and cheesy. I get the veggie calzone usually, but also have had the pizzas and they are also excellent. This is a takeout restaurant, there's no seating. There is a park just around the block though! Anytime I'm in there, the employees are friendly and talkative. AMAZINGI'm absolutely obsessed with their pizzas! Just tried them two weeks ago, a pepperoni and a sausage with ham....ive never raved like this before lol but since the first bite I was locked in. After landing at IAH recently, I decided I would call in an order on my way home, which worked out pretty perfectly. I ordered a Big Ol' Boy, a BBQ Chicken and an Extra Cheese. The BBQ Chicken was the star of the show, while the other two were decently decent. But I'm rounding up for supporting a local business over a chain. This is an independent pizza shop, strictly takeout--delivery or pickup only. No ambiance at all, nor is it intended. We got an order of cheese bread, a Big Ol' Boy (sausage, pepperoni and other meats) and a Where's The Beef (veggie). Added a cheesecake for dessert. The pizza crust is hand-tossed, pretty close to a New York style. It was a great crust for the pizzas. In my opinion it does not work as well for the cheese bread--I like the puffy pan crust bread better. The pizzas were great. The ingredients were very tasty (especially the sausage), and it was easy to eat. Overall flavor was wonderful. I can't give 5 stars due to cheese bread and a few other things. The shop was backing up and they were in a hurry when I ordered--would suggest ordering early on a potentially busy day. Give them plenty of time if you're ordering for delivery (they employ their own drivers). Our pizzas were creased, not really cut, so separating the pieces was difficult. The cheesecake was OK, don't think they made it. I would try their cookie next time, it looked homemade. Salads are prefab in small containers, wouldn't bother with them either. But they will make you an 8" pizza starting at $8.99 which isn't bad. They are pricier than the big chains but better, I think. Not sure if it would displace Crust as my local favorite but it's close. This is an old school business--they use landlines, so I actually got a busy signal the first time I called! Haven't heard one of those in years. According to the server they have been around for nearly 24 years. If you want to support an independent this is a good choice. read more

We like to support local small businesses. As a self described pizza aficionado who appreciates all different styles of pizza from all over the US and Italy........I don't get the 4-5 stars at all. Crust is too doughy, too much sauce, not enough cheese, toppings were not flavorful. The sauce is too acidic, they need to add more sugar and needs more garlic. We had friends suggest that we try pizza tonight, and we are so glad we did. We ordered delivery, an XL double pepperoni, and black olives. It arrived pipping hot out of the box. I took the picture below as soon as we opened it. The flavor was on point. My husband couldn't stop running his mouth about how delicious the pizza was. But in all honestly it, it was 5 out of 5 kind of good. We also loved that they're old school, you call and talk to a real person, pay over the phone, and the pizza is here. Nothing about Pizza Tonight draws attention to itself. The pizzeria is tucked away in a diminutive shopping strip behind a row of tall trees and we only discovered it randomly while dining at a restaurant a few doors down. It is a no-nonsense storefront and the inside space consists of nothing but a cash register, piles of takeout boxes, and a pizza oven - no seats or dining spaces. But what effort didn't go into decorating seems to have gone toward the quality of the pies because Pizza Tonight plays a strong pizza game. We placed our first order late last night for a medium pie and salivated the whole way home as our car was suffused with the delicious smells emanating from the box. Our order took about twenty minutes to prep, from phone to pickup, and it seemed like the gentlemen in the back were busy at work with new orders, even with less than an hour left to closing (always a good sign). The young lady who took our order over the phone was quick, efficient, and polite, and seemed just as amicable in person. I believe a crust can make or break a pizza, but the pies here are upheld by a perfect crusty foundation that is neither too thin nor thick (word to the wise - they take on new levels of crisp wonder when given a few more minutes in the oven at home). The sauce is well-seasoned and they fully respected our special requests for light cheese. Our only regret was not springing for a larger pie since a medium turned out to be a tiny eleven-incher that we downed within minutes. We'll certainly know better for next time! read more

The worst service. They dont show you the pizza before you leave. We always check , but we always have to ask to see it. They had to re make ours as we were given the wrong one yesterday, so then we got our half cheese and half pepperoni pizza after waiting another 30 minutes * in total we waited an hour because of this mistake* We tipped over 40 percent ,and the owner or manager whoever he is , was VERY RUDE.
