What's the twist? The twist is that they have Indian pizza options, i.e. tikka masala or butter chicken. This is a market that's growing and getting competitive. I like the fact that their website has their own ordering system, including delivery. The delivery fee is $3, which I find quite reasonable. I ordered a few pizzas in the morning for delivery later and they arrived just about on time. Before the pandemic, I went here for their lunch buffet and loved it, so I had reasonably high hopes. I ordered two pizzas with what I would call more traditional toppings, and a chicken tikka masala pizza, add jalapeños, medium spicy. The spice level was exactly what I would expect medium to be, and the Indian flavors were accurate. Unfortunately, that's where my praise has to end. The restaurant is about ten minutes from my house, but it seemed like the pizzas were traveling for about an hour. They were warm(ish), but just seemed old. Even when reheated, they seemed old. Specifically, they were very dry. Even the one I ordered with extra sauce, for which I think I paid extra, was just so dry. The other thing that really stood out was the flat flavors of everything. The hand tossed crust really had no taste, the sparse sauce had no flavor, and somehow all the toppings, including the cheese, seemed to be used sparingly. I received 5 bone in plus 5 boneless (aka, rolled balls of ground chicken based and fried). No Buffalo sauce on the side but did receive 2 ramekins of ranch lol. Bacon Mac n Cheese: it was fine, pasta cooked correctly, sauce not dry. The bacon seemed more like bacon bits but it was real bacon. I'll try it out again. I'd say go here for those Indian flavors, that is their speciality. Ask if they have paneer pakoras (it's not on the menu card, but they do make them). I highly recommend their Chicken tikka masala pizza. It was superb. Did it taste like chicken tikka masala? Not exactly ! But it was full of Indian flavors, had onions, garlic, cilantro etc. Tandoori chicken pizza was also pretty good. Both pizzas had a thin crisp crust, just the way I like yet with the sauces and toppings, they were perfect moist. You won't need to drink a litre of coke on the side. They were not over-loaded with cheese either. Shahi paneer pasta is something I had never seen before and I must say it was a really creative italian - indian fusion. It was superb. It had lots of garlic, onions, cilantro and green chillies to give you a kick. Again, I would say it was shahi paneer inspired pasta, the sauce was nice and creamy but not exactly like shahi paneer. The good: Their butter chicken pizza is amazing. Come and get that. Ignore the other options, just get the butter chicken. It will change your life. Ok, maybe not, but it's worth getting, and the best thing they serve. They're also quite friendly and never seem annoyed to serve you. The meh: It's a typically pizza shop with tiny TVs, wobbly tables, a noisy arcade machine, and nothing to make you want to sit down and eat there. Also, expect to pay close to double what you'd pay at another pizza place. For the butter chicken pizza, it's totally worth it. If you're ordering a normal pizza, I'd pass. There are a lot better pies out there for cheaper. Even their "deep dish" isn't a deep dish pizza; a deep dish pizza is one with the crust filled up with cheese, sauce, and toppings. Their deep dish is just a pizza with the edges of the crust raised (but with no added toppings, sauce, or cheese). Not Chicago-style in the slightest. The bad: They LIE about when your order will be ready. After half a dozen visits, I'm convinced that they don't even start your order until you arrive. First time visiting/trying Chicago Pizza With A Twist and it was a treat! I ordered online using their website-easy to use-great menu presentation and easy to customize the pizzas. Lots of veggie options and some vegan ones too! Chicago PWaT is easy to find off the 168 freeway but the parking lot/shopping center was busy on a Thursday around 4pm. Indoor seating and you order or pickup at a counter (they also do curbside pickup-you can choose that option from their text message notification after ordering). I was greeted when I walked in and updated on my order-I was a bit early and my order was ready on time. I took a picture of the pizza sizes-I ordered and shared a medium size pizza with 2 other adults and there were a few slices leftover. We also shared a paneer naan bread-delicious! I like that you can choose the spicy level for pizza and naan. I chose the "spicy " pizza and "medium spicy" for the naan. Both were great tasting for me (who can't handle too much spice--I had one piece of pizza and 2 pieces of naan). My friends who love spicy foods could have gone up a spice level. Solid spot for some fusion Indian style pizza. We came with a large party and there was plenty of seating with basketball and football playing on various TV's around giving it a nice laidback vibe. The appetizers we ordered were on point - chicken wings and breadsticks. We ordered the butter chicken pizza and the curry chicken pizza both of which I'd recommend to anyone trying this place for the first time. I will say that their pizza is not truly deep dish/Chicago style pizza as advertised but nonetheless quite tasty.
