They have the best vegan pizza In the area. And they're pretty clean inside. I would recommend this spot to others for sure.

Damn, this place is above and beyond. I tried from couple of other Indian pizza restaurants but this was the bestest I previously tried Achari Paneer Pizza and that was way better than Paneer Tikka Masala, the only thing I didn't like was garlic pieces which was coming in month and the whole taste of pizza is changed The dough is fresh and soft all the vegetables were also fresh. A must try restaurant

Indian Pizzas are a rare find and I would drive all the way to get me some. However, Chicago's Pizza lacks the burst of flavor that would keep you wanting for more. We ordered the butter chicken pizza and tandoori Paneer, which were great pizzas but not lacked a punch which Indian curries can deliver. Considering the fact that NY has no Indian Pizzas, this is still worth the travel.

The audacity to charge $17 for a pizza the size of my hand... that is just RIDICULOUS!!! I am only giving one star because the prices are so high!! The food is mediocre ! If it was gourmet pizza I'd pay the $17 plus tax for a SMALL pizza. *HOWEVER they offer vegan options so I cannot complain about that. If you want vegan pizza though I'd just go to Oakwood Pizza in edison. You get a full regular sized LARGE pizza for $20. And both locations use daiya cheese (allegedly). If you get your food delivered from pizza twist they charge $6 delivery fee... just don't waste your time

Hands down, BEST INDIAN flavors pizza in town! Baked to perfection, crispy crust. We ordered Curry Breadsticks and Paneer Tikka Pizza. They were both equally delicious. The Breadsticks were something I never had before. See you soon!

Update: Tried a bunch of different things from this place after my initial review and I'm happy to report that it's always been a pleasant experience. This review is particularly about a couple of things I tried recently - paneer pakora, boneless chicken wings and butter chicken pizza. The pizza was jaw dropping with rich flavors but, the appetizers weren't up to the mark. The paneer pakora had a fancy stuffing between the paneer and the entire thing is fried in some flour coating which was decent, the wings were dry and lacked a little flavor. If I might suggest, a good chutney to go with the pakora would just do the trick. The overall experience still remains fantastic though.

So far not impressed, somewhat clean, ordered a 10" personal pie and 6 piece wings, $30. I'm assuming freshly made because they said a 20 minute wait for food. Boneless wings were dried out and terrible. Small pepperoni pizza was greasy , and not very good. Will not be coming back

PANEER TIKKA MASALA PIZZZA! Do I even need to say more? This has become my new guilty pleasure ( thanks a lot Chicago's pizza... it's not like I'm trying to eat healthier or anything). But, the way I like to justify it is that they do offer cauliflower crust or gluten free crust for all of their pizzas if you want to switch it up !! Def makes you feel less guilty when the base of the pizza is healthier right? I really haven't tried anything else from here because once I tried this I was hooked. But they do make a lot of different pizza styles with a twist along with traditional pizza. They also serve wings, salads, pasta and more. Their menu is on the pricier side, but I think it's worth it. I also usually order the pizza to go from here, but the inside looks very clean and spacious enough for a pizza joint! To all of my fellow pizza lovers - this place won't disappoint!

First time trying this place but we love that they have fully vegan options and they're GOOD! Enjoying the pie in the photo as I write this. Just wish it were closer to home.

I am still disappointed by the lack of response from the corporate office on this matter, but the Edison location was extremely helpful in resolving my issue. Initial review: My wife and I have been going to True Food Kitchen for a while now, and really enjoy their healthy food options, but their recent lack of customer service is very disappointing. We recently purchased a gift card for True Food Kitchen but when we had problems with it, the local restaurant wasn't able to do anything. We reached out to the company they parner with for the gift cards, who told us to reach out to corporate. I left two voicemails with True Food corporate with no response, in addition to leaving email with no response either. I would appreciate it even if they couldn't do anything that they would at least get back to us and let us know that, but nothing. I commend True Food for offering such healthy eating options for people but without good customer service, I can't see it really lasting for long.

NOTE: Be very careful about using any dining credits from Open Table here. I saved up points for like a year and got a measly $16. When deciding on which restaurant to choose for Brunch today, we noticed True Food was in the Open Table network, so I would be able to use the credit there. When we arrived the place was pretty empty. Strange for the time of day. Bad sign #1. They walked us to a large table. The table was soaking wet and the hostess laid our paper menus on the puddle of water, never acknowledging the fact that the table was wet. Bad sign #2. I used my napkin to dry off the table and asked the waiter for another. He was very cordial. It was noon on a Saturday, so we assumed they would provide us with the Brunch menu (since that is why we came) and we had to ask for it - a measly 4 items on this menu, so options were few. Bad sign #3. Our server and the taste of the food were the only positive things about this trip. At the end of the meal, I followed the Open table directions and clicked on redeem in front of the waiter. It seems a Mastercard number pops up and since the server nor the manager knew how to do the dining credit, she said it was declined and could give me a 10% discount. Our meal was only $30, maki g that like $3 I said that I had to use the dining credit here since I booked our reservation which is tied to the credit and I would lose the dining credit. The manager was very demeaning and I reminded her that I can't use this credit anywhere else and that the whole reason for choosing this restaurant today was because of the Open Table credit. She then asked me to stop yelling at her. I, at no time in this conversation, raised my voice. I just stated the fact that I will lose $16 if they don't use it here. She said I could use it elsewhere and I reiterated that was not true and asked if she could contact open table to see why it won't go through. She said no because they are a third party and it is not their responsibility. After a while back and forth on this, she then said, I told you I would take $16 off the bill so you can use that elsewhere. When I reminded her that she said only 10% before she again said to stop yelling at me and I am just trying to make you happy. My husband said, does she look happy? After that she basically kicked us out of the restaurant. I will never return to this location ever again after being treated this way, like I was some criminal trying to get over them over a lousy $16. Now I can see why, on Sunday during Brunch time, the place was practically empty. Go to Original Pancake House just up the street if you want great food and service. There will be a wait but it is worth it!

Would I recommend it? Yes. Is it worth seeing once? Also yes. It has that big, theatrical, old-school deli energy where the portions are part of the show. That said, I'm not in the camp that every good restaurant is automatically a five-star spot. When everything is a five, it gets harder to separate the truly elite places, the hometown heroes, and the restaurants worth planning a trip around. Harold's lands for me as a very solid three-point-something, graciously rounded to four because they have a Marine Corps flag hung in reception. The food was good, the portions were whatever you make it, and the whole place has novelty value without feeling like a total gimmick. The sandwiches are large enough to satisfy a hungry, medium-sized guy without completely defeating him. And honestly, on a menu full of meat, my favorite thing may have been the healthy pickled salad/pickle bar situation -- bright, crunchy, and a great counterbalance to the heavier deli classics. My biggest knock was the service atmosphere. There seemed to be an army of staff, but not much interaction beyond their phones. Maybe I caught it at an off time, and maybe the place comes alive when it's packed, but that kept the experience from feeling warmer or more special. Overall: fun stop, good food, convenient location, and worth doing if you're passing through. Memorable four.

So how did I wind up back here? Bit of a story but if you read my first review you'll see how I met a friend that I met online 13 years ago for the first time and this was the place we went for dinner after an event. Well, now a year later, her and I were traveling together north to Parsippany and this was the closest restaurant that looked appealing. It was not until we enter the parking lot I said out loud, this is where we had our first dinner. Anyways, enough of that love story. I really want to give this two stars for service but the food really pushed it over the top. So all in all I will keep it as a four star review. I want to address the food first, I had the short rib tacos, and my partner had eggplant caprice flatbread. I had a bite of hers which I absolutely enjoyed, eggplant had a nice crisp to it which really made it enjoyable. The short rib tacos... holy crap! Mind blown. I did not expect such great flavor in such a small bite. Everything about the tacos packed a punch. I would much rather have had six tacos and no chips and salsa. As for the service, this is where I got frustrated and my cash tip hopefully reconcile with my server. We dined on the rooftop which was completely empty minus a couple at the bar. We seated and ordered our beverages. I did not get my lime with my lemon water. After we ordered our meals, and received them, a server never came back to check in with us. I wasn't a big fan of her attitud either. It started to get busy I noticed that the host kept seating everyone around us when there was an entire floor to sit people at. Not sure if they're trying to keep people in one specific area but for how slow it was they certainly could've given everyone more privacy. I'm pretty sure the couple that was seated next to us got up and left for that reason. Cannot say I will not be back but who knows when I'll be traveling through again.
