    Delicious Tiramisu
    Astrida M.

Our first time here yesterday. If you're looking for a combination of an Italian restaurant as well as a pizzeria in Miami Beach, look no further than right here! You will be amazed. Nice Italian ambiance for dining and relaxing while in Miami Beach and SoBe. Parking is on the street. Entrance is wheelchair accessible as well as inside. We ordered spaghetti marinara and meatballs, chicken Fettucine with Alfredo sauce, garlic rolls, wine, and the most delicious Tiramisu! Everything was delicious! The Chef was so nice to give me Alfredo Sauce instead of marinara. Thank you! Service was excellent!! Matthew was our server and was great! We will be back soon!! We live in the neighborhood!

Stopped in after spending the day at the beach. When we walked in the staff looked at us as though we had just landed our alien craft in the middle of the restaurant. But I didn't care because I was hungry. My husband ordered one of their daily specials. 2 slices of pizza with fries and a drink. Huge slices, fries were good. Had enough for leftovers. I ordered the spicy shrimp and chicken Alfredo. It was very amazing and came with delicious bread. I also had enough for leftovers. We ate outside in the shade and enjoyed our food. We ordered wings to go for my father but he said they were dry. Julie M. Was our server. She was a very good server technically. I've been in the hospitality industry for years and as far as keeping drinks full, clearing plates, boxing up leftovers, timeliness she gets a 10. But from the time we walked in we didn't really feel welcome or like our business was appreciated. I felt like they were annoyed by us or just hated us. Lol. Maybe it was a bad day....we all have those...left her a good tip regardless. Hopefully next time this business doesn't take their customers for granted...especially when we are the only ones in the building. But the foods good...the location is good. Worth a stop.

What a cute little Italian joint! Situated on a corner of a busy street with outdoor seating. They have a very large menu with all the Italian classics. They also boast lunch specials through the week until 3pm. Among them, 2 large slices of pizza and a can of soda for $8.25! I came in on a Thursday early afternoon and was greeted by a very friendly server who promptly sat me down and brought me fresh warm garlic rolls right away. I ordered the Tortellini with Rose sauce and blackened chicken from the lunch special menu. It was such a large portion and very tasty. The sauce was garlicky and rich, the chicken was pan fried and juicy. I really enjoyed it and had leftovers!

Loved the pizza, cheese reminded me of Chicago pizza where I grew up. Nice decor with old school booths and traditional pizza joint vibes. Our server Frank was super nice and outgoing. I think we found our new pizza spot

The service from the manager (im guessing) was horrible. I called in and asked for 3 slices of cheese pizza. 2 slices with Prosciutto De Parma and the other plain cheese. I go and pick it up and the cashier was amazing. And he's telling me my order. And im like oh no love eye order the Prosciutto and he goes and gets the manager and im like hi yes I ordered 2 slices woth the Prosciutto and he's like. No. I took your order and you said Feta. Number 1.) Prosciutto sounds NOTHINGS like Feta. 2.) hiw are you going to tell me what I (THE CUSTOMER) ordered. As good as the pizza is i dont need that energy in my food. Fuck your attitude sir. Go home and take a nap. Straight up. And the ambiance was gloomy like play some lively music or some jazz. We're not in the Italy during the 19th century. Boo.

The restaurant needs a new hood or better ventilation way too smokey. I ordered a slice of plain pizza. It was the heaviest slice I have ever had. The slice had way too much very white cheese. The dough almost looked like it did not rise or they did not do whatever you do to stretch the dough. It was just thick.

This place is an absolute gem!! Been going for years and i'm so happy i found it. Prices are great for the portion size you get and also considering it's in miami beach. Highly recommend the tortellinis in pink sauce, the pizza of course, and the garlic rolls!!!! The staff is very nice and super attentive. The inside of the place is not memorable but for the food, it really does not matter.

Pizza was cooked well with a nice balance of sauce to cheese ratio. Tried their spaghetti and meatballs felt the pasta was slightly mushy maybe over cooked. Garlic rolls were fantastic. Take out experience

Food was good, the service was okay but friendly, and the ambiance was good. Seems like a mom & pop

It was a bakery for many, many years, even after I left Miami Beach, when I'd come visit, I made sure to get a pastelito de carne with an orange juice and then one day; the bakery was gone and Pane e Vino was here in its place. As illogical as it may be, I held resentment towards Pane e Vino because of this. I'd grumble and scowl when I'd walk by until one day I saw a man making fresh pasta at the window. Yes, this piqued my interest. I then looked at the menu, and I saw a lot of wonderful variety, but mostly that their pasta is made fresh so it occurred to me that in this instance perhaps one legendary establishment can become another one in this place, and I decided I needed to give this restaurant a chance. I have some friends who join me often when I go to Miami Beach and so we ordered a bunch of dishes to share. I'm really glad we had our waitress Pilar steer us in the right direction. I love truffle anything and she highly recommended the truffle arancini. I'm soooo glad we got it, and that was probably one of my favorite things to eat ever. I have never had such creamy polenta in my life. the truffle and cheese in this was enough to almost bring me to tears. This is how great food is done. Even the salad and the simple dressing was amazing, really fresh and delicious. We tried three different pasta dishes, but my favorite without a doubt was the lamb ragu. This dish was everything. The lamb was so tender and flavorful. You know that lamb will sometimes have a gamey flavor? Not this dish. My second favorite pasta dish was the truffle ravioli. It's not like a truffle infused oil or salt they used, its actual shaved truffle, so delicious. The bread, the good quality olive oil, everything was fantastic. Even though my beloved bakery belongs to the past; in its place is now another magnificent establishment that I will look forward to visiting whenever I'm in Miami Beach.

You never want to feel bloated in Miami. We ate until we were full and were still able to wander around. The highlights of our meal were the ravioli, the carpaccios and the tiramisu. 10/10 presentation on the tiramisu. The service was impeccable! If I go back to Miami, I will absolutely be back!

Italian restaurants often talk about simplicity, tradition, and technique. Macchialina backs up those claims with execution. You can certainly order à la carte, but I would strongly encourage first-time visitors to consider the chef's tasting menu. At $75 before wine pairings, it feels almost suspiciously underpriced. By the end of the meal, I wasn't wondering whether it was worth the money. I was wondering how they weren't charging more. The first course arrived as a trio. Creamy polenta with mushrooms, onions, and chives, broccoli rabe topped with toasted breadcrumbs and a soft-boiled egg, and a savory pastry filled with sliced pork and a rich sauce. All three were excellent, but the polenta was the dish that immediately demanded attention. I've had a lot of polenta over the years. Very little of it has approached this texture. It was impossibly smooth, somewhere between polenta and a luxurious puree. Combined with the mushrooms and broth, it delivered a deep, earthy blast of umami that lingered long after the bowl was empty. The second course showcased three pasta dishes. Macchialina's signature cavatelli with veal meatballs, porchetta, and pecorino, agnolotti stuffed with ricotta in brown butter sauce, and a classic cacio e pepe. Choosing a favorite felt unfair. The cavatelli delivered hearty comfort and deeply savory flavors, thanks in large part to the tender veal meatballs. The agnolotti burst with creamy ricotta filling in every bite. The cacio e pepe served as a reminder that great ingredients and proper technique rarely need embellishment. For the third course, a veal Milanese arrived perfectly fried and topped with arugula, concentrated tomatoes, and Parmigiano Reggiano. A grilled lemon accompanied the plate for a final squeeze of brightness. Halfway through the dish, I found myself thinking a touch of balsamic might improve things. Then I caught one of the concentrated tomatoes in a bite and immediately abandoned that thought. The tomatoes provided exactly the acidity and sweetness the dish needed. Nothing more was required. Dessert sealed the deal. Bread pudding made from Sullivan Street brioche, banana, hazelnut crumble, and bitter chocolate. It was paired with vanilla ice cream, and drizzled with caramel sauce. It was rich without becoming heavy, sweet without becoming cloying. The slight bitterness from the chocolate kept everything balanced. It ranks among the best bread puddings I've eaten. Technically, the tasting menu is four courses. In reality, it delivers eight thoughtfully prepared dishes that showcase the kitchen's range, creativity, and restraint. For diners curious about tasting menus but hesitant to jump into a multi-hundred-dollar fine dining experience, Macchialina offers one of the best entry points I've encountered. It feels approachable, generous, and remarkably polished. Some tasting menus leave you impressed. The best ones leave you planning your next visit before you've even paid the check. Macchialina belongs firmly in the second category.
