Best pizzeria by far in the area. Great food, great pizza. Frequent customer of this place.

Pizzaiola is one of my favorite places to grab some Italian food I would've given them five stars except for the new design ,getting in and out of the entrance of the store at prime time is not an easy task, God help me if I was in a wheelchair or walker. Between people standing there for pizza pick ups, Or trying to pay everybody's bottleneck into a 6 x 6 area. The nice part is the wait staff has been there forever they know the menu, from the bus boys to the waitresses to the pizza guys the faces never change. I definitely recommend the pizzaiola but I think they should re-think their entrance! read more

Here right now. I got a gift card to here and never been to this place before. I asked the guy how much was on the card and for a menu. He said when your ready to order talk to him. Then placed my order, payed and went to sit down. I was told because I ordered already we couldn't sit down we had to leave with our order. Wtf? I payed $27 to eat here now I have to go home to eat my food. Clearly it was my first time here and they were extremely rude and I am definitely never coming back. I was misplaced in a hotel recently and ordered from PIZZAIOLA I called approx a week later and was screamed at by the manager " I will not deliver to a hotel!!!" He was disrespectful and rude. Afterall , isn't it all about customer service?? DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS!!! read more

I have read all of the negative reviews regarding the rude service. They are all spot on. However their pizza is so amazing that I am always willing to overlook the rudeness. Today however they took the rudeness to a whole new level. Consideration is given because of the Covid. However they still only get one star. I get two slices and an ice tea and I go to find a table. Every other table is marked With an X so to maintain proper Covid social distancing. I commend them for that and they do a good job of it. I was told I could sit in the dining room just pick a table without an X. There is a small 2 seat table all by itself nowhere near any other tables. There was no X on the table. I sit down minding my own business eating my pizza reading the news on my phone. About halfway through my slice of pizza a waitress approaches me and with a nasty attitude says you cannot sit here, I'm sorry sir but you cannot sit here. I said but there's no X on the table. She said excuse me sir you have to get up off the table you can't sit here. Rather than cause a scene I quietly get up and go to try to find another table. However there's no other tables for me to sit at. I am holding my tray of pizza and my ice tea in the middle of the aisle with no place to go and the rude waitress continues to say you can't be here you must leave. So I was kicked out of the restaurant. I regret not demanding a refund.I will not be going back. She could've handled it much nicer. There was no reason I couldn't have sat there. There was plenty of social distance between all the tables. You must maintain 6 feet. I'm pretty sure there was 6 feet. She was the rudest waitress/human I have ever met. I must post about our lunch yesterday the 14th of October. I haven't been here in a while and was hoping for a great lunch. Arriving the blonde hostess with a wrinkled shirt never even said hello. 2 menus walked to a table and threw them down. Some one then slid some bread on our table and walked away. Wow not even a hi! Server came and was okay. Ordered a chicken avocado salad (so so barely any flavor or dressing), rice ball ( wasn't toasted w cheese, maybe a quarter ounce of meat and no peas) and king crab stuffed mushrooms ( king crab my ass...barely any special blue claw meat to be found and was old). As we discuss how poor lunch was a boss or owner is on the phone next to us telling a cook how to respond with fast and direct response to what seems to be a regular customer. He states "he likes fast answers...as he gestures with his arms, hurry up". Over heard the mans name but won't repeat. But I will say he's American Italian like myself. Came here on a Sunday. After having to flag down the hostess, it took approximately 20 minutes for me to get a salad and 4 slices. One of the slices had a hair and they were nice enough to replace it but still charged for the slice......????? I'm only reviewing the pizza, but it's the best! Two recommendations: the grandma's slice is unbeatable, and the buffalo chicken slice is very different from what you'd find at most places: the chicken isn't breaded, and the pizza has dressing already on it flowing with the cheese. It's also a good place to run into girls that got fat since high school, and anybody else you haven't seen in a long time. If you enjoy such awkward encounters, this place is second only to the Oceanside Taco Bell. read more

Pizzaiola continues to be one of our families favorite place to eat. We catered from Pizzaiola to celebrate my mom's 92nd birthday at my home & they did NOT disappoint! The food was delivered on time & hot so I didn't need sterno. The chicken Marsala, rigatoni ala vodka, Caesar salad, sausage peppers & onions & the most amazing garlic bread was so delicious, everyone enjoyed a fabulous dinner. Good, solid neighborhood place. Reliably good food, friendly service, decent prices. A nice place to go for a dish of pasta while your dining mate (kids) grab a slice. One of the reviewers said a cash only spot--don't think that's accurate. Clean, bright and friendly. I like Pizzaiola.. The pies are delicious and huge. The dinners are good , not great and a bit on the pricy side.. I've tried the chicken Parmesan, the fettuccine Alfredo , spaghetti n meatballs and lasagna. All are good. The only problem I have with this place is that the staff is not the friendless bunch. Granted that they're always very busy but a hello or even a smile goes a long way. I've owned grocery stores so know about working with the general public. This is a top of the line place to eat and take out - delicious. To eat in, is a nice place, clean, quiet and cozzy, food always beyond expectations, the Staff is nice, respectful and professional. What a horrible experience in my hometown. First of all, the management wouldn't accept my 15%off coupon from the Oceanside JCC. When I asked how long the order would take, I was told 10 minutes. ....the reality was 32 minutes. I had to go over the order 3 times to make sure it was correct. After waiting 32 minutes and going over my order, my food was lukewarm and fairly tasteless. Thank you Pizzaiola for this wonderful experience in my hometown. I have not eaten their food just their pizza and it is one of the top 5 on Long Island in my book. Their regular slice is the perfect combination of cheese and sauce, and the crust is so crispy. Blah. this place is overrated and has overpriced pizza. the only reason (if i must find one) to really come here is because they're spinach and broccoli pinwheels are awesome and a decent size a semi decent price. I'd suggest having strictly dinner here since there hardly any room to sit in the front half and people dont know how to read the "fire zone no parking" yellow lines in front of the place. The food is consistently good. The brick oven pizza uses fresh mozzarella. I like the pasta dishes best. I love the lasagna! It's a typical pizza restaurant with no real ambience but the food def makes up for it. read more

I got the Pasta Figioli and it was the best thing I have ever eaten. The service is great and for being tucked In a strip mall, it is is to die for. If you are in the area, definitely give it a try. Ugh I love this place! Ever since moving a year ago I've been trying to find a place like this one! The pizza is amazing here and the staff are very friendly. I always loved coming into the place and just talking to the guys behind the counter. I would reccomend any of their pizzas, but also their grilled chicken ceasar salad and their chicken rolls! Ooooh their chicken rolls were so good that it was like a craving for me. I have been going here since they opened in 1997 and I'll admit, I have never eaten Italian food on the restaurant side. It's always takeout. Food is great, pizza is great. The only negative is the takeout line ordering/picking up. There is no line and if you don't speak up, they won't notice you. You can die there and they won't notice. read more

I'm not from the Island so I don't get to eat here often but when I do I go crazy! The food is seriously good. Their shrimp francese is the best on the Island, and the Alfredo is delicious! My only complaint is that they are a bit overpriced. There are alot of other places who have decent food for cheaper but I still keep coming back. It's just that damn good. On the advice of a friend, we tried this pizzeria/restaurant. Well instead of having one entree,we decided to order 4 entrees ,and sample them all,best idea of the night ! We had the Linguini with white clam sauce, grilled Chichen,Eggplant Parmesian, and Sausage & Peppers. While all were very good, the Linguini was exceptional !
