I pass this place all the time on the way home and today I figured I'll give it a try! The restaurant looks pretty small but the environment feels very clean and relaxing atmosphere. However they are pretty pricey. I ordered a small pepperoni pizza for $16, I wasn't that impressed by the look of the pizza, and they don't slice the pizza either. I thought maybe the taste would be worth the price but it wasn't. It was very mediocre and underwhelming. I probably wouldn't go here again. The food is fantastic here. I love Neapolitan style pizza and this place serves up some of the best i have ever had. The dough and pastas are made fresh in house with high quality ingredients. Definitely get the fried burrata! A crispy fried dough exterior with the melty creamy goodness of the fresh burrata with sauce and arugula served beside it. So good! All their pizzas are delicious. The regular size comes as a round pie. The large pizzas come as a rectangle. All the times we've been there is one server. Then there's one guy manning the ovens and cooking. So it can take sometime to get your food out, keep that in mind. Definitely try their specials. Be aware that usually their specialty menus don't list a price, so you can get sticker shock when the bill comes out. My wife and I tried Naples Street Food because they offered a traditional Sicilian dish called, Caico e Pepe. She was really looking forward to it having been born and raised in Italy. Unfortunately, her meal was much more like Pasta Alfredo with a large helping of pepper. Not authentic! I ordered the black linguini with calamari. The pasta was over cooked and soggy. Not good. The waitress performed at a basic level with low energy. I could not stand the sound of slamming doors as waitresses entered and exited the counter area. I ordered a delicious foreign Peach Ice Tea and the "personal" smaller sized Broccoli Rabe & Sausage Pie. She ordered the Antipasto. Both were about 18 bucks each. I was extremely pleased with my pizza. It was larger than I thought it would be (great value) and loaded with fresh mozzarella, well-seasoned sausage and broccoli rabe. I loved it. It was so big that I only ate half. I sampled my friend's Antipasto. It contained Burrata, Eggplant (Caponata?) and a large portion of salad. It was a very generous sized serving for an appetizer. Everything was delicious and fresh. I particularly liked the Burrata. It was very creamy inside. It was much better than versions I have had at less casual Italian restaurants. We arrived right at 6 and it took almost ten minutes to bring the pizza out. Okay, fine. But the pizza was not hot and felt like it had been sitting out for quite a while before we arrived. They also tried to charge us for a salad that we did not order. Once we warmed it up a bit at home, it was better. Thick crust (not a fan typically but it was okay) and a delicious sauce. Very filling but we threw out the two leftover slices since at the end of the day it just wasn't THAT great. However this is a pandemic going on, places are swamped, this is the "new normal" as annoying people like to say. So, I've eaten at Naple's Street many times, but just never left a review. I usually only review if a place is really good, or REALLY bad. I'm not in the market to ruin a business if it's mediocre. So, Naple's street pizza is absolutely delicious. I've come for lunch a few times and when you get the pizza, it comes right out of the oven and to you table piping hot. Their selections are awesome, my favorites being the DOC and the Tartufata. Interestingly, their oven is actually an electric oven but the pizza comes out just as good as most of not all other brick ovens (Don Antonio in Manhattan is my benchmark). If you're anywhere in the vicinity of Oceanside/East Rockaway/Rockville Centre area, I highly recommend this place. read more

Regarding Delivered Items: Driving to my destination, I noticed that on a Saturday Night at 7:30 that the place was empty. At my destination, my friend placed an order from this place. My experience was less than one star, but I really don't want to see another vacant store in Oceanside. My Friend ordered 2 pizza's and 1 Calzone. Nothing, and I mean nothing, was noteworthy. Not the dough, not the sauce, not the cheese, not the meat, nor the amount of ingredients, not even how it was cooked, I mean undercooked. The pizza I was able to distinguish was pizza, so I assumed the third item was the calzone. I was born in Mercy Hospital, 60 years ago and never left, so I think I know what Pizza and Calzone are, look like, and should taste like. The Calzone was 8 ounces of dough, 3 tablespoons of ricotta cheese, and 2 tablespoons of sauce. Like the pizza, it was like rubber. Again, they say it's a calzone, it was more of a rubbery, Italian quesadilla. Everything was chewy bagel consistency, Nothing Crispy, Nothing Chared. We all know good pizza and agreed that even Frozen or Costco Pizza would have been 10 times better. The worst. Worst. Experience. Ever. at Naples Street Food this evening. Buckle in folks, cuz this one's a doozy. Placed an order on their website at 7:05 for a pickup on my husband's birthday. Said it would be ready at 7:58. We get there a little before 8, they said 10 minutes but someone will bring it to our car. Ok, fine, no big deal, we go to our car and wait. 8:15 and nothing, so we go back inside to wait (just in case they forgot about us - out of sight/out of mind - and they were busy, I get it.) Go back inside and wait at the counter for a few minutes, finally someone checks in with us and says they're working on it. Ok...10 minutes later they say it's going to be a bit more. We're like uhhh...ok...and then they say oh one of our drivers took your order so we had to make it again. Why didn't you say that in the first place? We would've either cancelled it or went home and switched it to delivery (now that I know they offer delivery). It's 8:30 at this point and we've been waiting half an hour and placed the order 1.5 hrs ago. On top of it, some asshole overhears me and my husband talking to each other, rudely gets in my face to say well if you don't like it go to dominos (and his kid was with him). I'm like dude, no one was talking to you, we're fine, but he doesn't leave us alone and go back to his table. Where, btw, do these assholes feel the need to make nasty comments to people they don't know about things that aren't their business. This guy's escalating, and no one's telling him to go back to his seat? I can guarantee you he was the type of guy who'd be screaming if this happened to him. My husband stepped in to say something and finally he went back. We go back to waiting...I'm shaking with hanger and frustration at this point, but trying to be chill. Our order finally comes at 8:45. I ask the girl to through the order to make sure we got everything - I know they're busy and were rushing so I wanted to check while I was there. They assured me every single thing was in the order. Ok great thanks. We're a block away from our house and I get a phone call - guess what? They forgot to give us something (ofc it was my dish). I said of course you did! And you need to bring it to us because there's no way I'm coming back there. Finally, at 9:05, we get all our food. I have worked in food service and retail, so I get it. I'm usually laid back and patient with stuff like this, people are people and everyone's doing their best. But to wait all that time for a friggin pick up? And don't tell us the truth and make us wait 45 minutes on top of the hour we already waited?? Granted, they were very apologetic and refunded me $40 on my $170 order, but half of that was the tip their website added when I placed the order (who dafuq tips $20 on a pickup?!), and and they did bring a dessert when they dropped off the dish they forgot. At the end of the day, the food was mediocre and salty. This is the third time we ordered from them since they opened, and it's been 0 for 3. It's such a shame because I want to like this place and support local businesses, but OMFG. I have literally never in my life left a negative review for a restaurant, but this took the cake. The DOC pizza is amazing and the restaurant is beautiful and welcoming. They need more floor staff. I went in with my family for their delicious pizza for dinner and the reviews were correct. We were going to try their desserts but waited 35 minutes for our waiter come back back to our table. It was the ONLY downfall to this place. It's a decent size restaurant and had only 2 floor staff cleaning up and waiting on tables. I was going to go back today for more but they were closed on Monday. I was definitely in the mood for their pizza. I'm assuming that someone didn't show up for their shift on Friday night. I would have given this place 5 stars otherwise. Our waiter was amazing but just way too busy. One more waiter or waitress would have covered it. Wanted to give these guys a try tonight because there menu looked really good but wow was I very disappointed and almost choked to death. I ordered 2 dishes both were chicken cacio e Pepe which is supposed to be a pepper and Romano cheese sauce but let me tell you there was barely even a sprinkle of cheese and about a half a pound of black pepper to the point there was so much pepper in one bite I nearly choked to death. The chicken was knotty and very bland no flavor whatsoever and the pepper was all you tasted in the sauce it tasted like nothing. And the fact I paid a total of 60$ for basically black pepper with a small portion of pasta that I was charged 7$ for is absolutely insane! With 7$ I can buy at least 3-4 pounds of pasta and sauce for all of it and for it to taste like this is unacceptable I don't mind paying a little more for food if it's delicious but this food was not edible I can never come back here and I recommend no one else come here and waste your time and hard earned money this place needs new cooks or a lesson on how to cook for me to ever buy anything from here again this is a disgrace to southern Italian cuisine and I am ashamed that a place like this can exist to give people a bad idea about southern Italian food when it's supposed to be one of the best foods around but not this place I would love my hard earned money back because I can't even eat the rest of my food I don't think even a raccoon would eat it he would probably choke to death too read more

This place is a gem in the heart of Oceanside. Very pleasant, comfortable atmosphere and this is what we had: a NY style pizza, a Margherita pizza (authentic Napolitana style w/fresh mozzarella), calzone, veal meatballs, an Italian IPA beer and sodas and a beautiful slice of pizza grana w/ a delicious lemony flavor and great texture. We were offered espresso but couldn't fit it, will have it next time with dessert. The woman who served us was very friendly and accommodating. They have an electric coal oven imported from Naples that can reach 1000 degrees; thus, a truly perfect pizza crust. The owners are obviously very serious about their food. Everything was excellent!
