I love houses converted to restaurants. My husband and I ate here during the Mount Dora craft fair. The air conditioning was very welcome. Our server was great. She was attentive and friendly. My husband had the chicken bacon ranch sub. He said it was delicious with fresh bread (a must). I had the eggplant parmigiana entree. It wasn't what I expected. The sauce was a mixture of fresh tomatoes, red onions and garlic. The eggplant was served over a bed of spaghetti. Since the sauce was chunky fresh, it didn't cover the pasta at all. The eggplant was breaded and tasty. There was just one slice of eggplant. I'm sure others would love this entree, but it just wasn't what I expected and like, so I wouldn't order it again. We also shared a personal pizza. It was delicious with a good crisp but not too thin crust and a good amount of both sauce and cheese. All in all, I loved this visit and will return to try more. read more

The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and efficient. Concerning COVID regulations, they were pretty good. The tables were clean and separated with staff wearing masks and looked to be sanitizing often. It's wheel chair friendly and they have pretty good high chairs for kids. Sadly we waited over an hour just to remind our waitress if we could please have our appetizer first. She said yes then came back and told us they ran out of garlic knots but are making more. So after another 15 min i asked why our food was taking so long she said sometimes it's busy and they have lots of take out orders. Well there were 4 empty tables and not one person had come in within that hour for take out. The table next to us who arrived an hour after we did got their food 2 min after us. Love this spot! Always hot and fresh pizza. We love coming to Mount Dora and stopping in to Pizzamore every time for a bite to eat. Can't leave without having some of their pizza! We had the special for 25$ we got; An extra large pizza with 2 toppings Large salad 6 garlic knots We were able to do half and half on the pizza. We opted for an olive oil and garlic sauce. First Half if the pizza was pepperoni and Italian sausage. The other half was BBQ chicken and basil pesto. We chose the Caesar salad. And off course 6 fresh garlic knots. This was a great experience. I have been to Pizzamore' a few times before when they were at Donnelly St. It was a bit challenging to get into that location because of the small parking lot, but the food made up for it in more ways than one. So when we found out they moved to 5th Ave. and saw how much easier it was to park, we were of course thrilled. I am not sure if they have the same management or ownership, but we were so disappointed by the stromboli we ordered, which was to die for at their original location. Tonight we just ordered a large pizza with extra cheese and pepperoni - so disappointed again! This was like a pizza out of the frozen section in the grocery aisle! Amazing! I consider myself an Italian food snob. Pizza is incredibly delicious with fresh toppings and crust options. They also offer plenty of other menu choices if pizza isn't your thing. Personally, I ordered the eggplant parmesan. Wow! It was probably the best I've eaten in my life. Seriously. The eggplant is hand battered with mozzarella cheese melted and finished with a marinara sauce. The spaghetti base is tossed in a "fresh toss" which consists of olive oil, garlic, red onion and basil. Excellent flavor combination. Hubs ordered a crispy crust pizza with pepperoni, sausage and mushroom pizza. He loved every bite and said it was better than home made. He's a pizza freak and would eat it for nearly every meal, but definitely knows a great pizza from a good one. Pizza Amoré has been added to my favorites list of Italian eateries. read more

First time coming to Mount Dora. We were in town for the Mt. Dora Bike Festival. We were in the mood for pizza and found this place. So glad we did. The food and service were amazing. We ordered the Friday family special. XL Pizza with 2 toppings, a huge salad and garlic knots. The salad was massive and super fresh. Like really, really fresh. Large enough for 4 people. The two of us barely made a dent in it. The dressings were good also. The knots were perfect and the marinara flavorful. We got the thin crust pizza and asked for it crispy. The pizza was terrific in all aspects. Good flavor, nice thin crust. We will definitely come back here next time we're in town. read more

Ordered takeout, lasagna, salad, side of meatballs, Parmesan garlic wings and chocolate cake. We don't usually order Italian food that has marinara sauce, my husband thinks the sauce is too sweet. The lasagna was delicious, slightly sweet. The meatballs were okay, not worth 3.50 though, they were kind of small. The salad was fresh, could have been cut into smaller pieces though. The wings were the best, meaty cooked perfect, plenty of garlic. They say baked in oven, but you would of thought they were grilled. Haven't had the cake yet, but it sure looks sinful. My husband and I come here frequently because the food and service have always been extraordinary! Today we stopped by to have a quick light dinner before we went biking and Michael P. Was our server. He was quick to get our drinks and order in! I asked for no mayo on my sandwich and I don't like to make a big deal out of these things because it isn't because of a food allergy but because I just don't care for condiments. My husband let Michael know about it and Gina be the management team took it upon themselves to go above and beyond to make it right even though the sandwich was phenomenal regardless and I ate the whole thing. Their pizza is great, but the real treat is their entrees, the best is the Lasagne, as their tomato sauces are cooked fresh, not out of a can. Before you patronize PizzAmore, be prepared for long waits, inattentive servers, extra charges, and rude owners. We gave up on this restaurant several weeks ago. The owner (blonde, older female) was consistently rude and service was poor. We used to visit every Thursday for Pasta Night until we were once again overcharged and were told the owner would not allow a take out box since the food "has to be eaten while at the restaurant". (On this day, I had less than a cup of noodles left that I wanted to box up and instead, she threw it away). We do like the pasta sauce, so we gave it another try last night. We were told they discontinued the Pasta Night on Thursday, but they now offer a free dessert with purchase of two entrees. We ordered a pasta dish and a 12" sub sandwich. We were then told the sub "doesn't count" as an entree, so we could not have the dessert previously offered. The server asked the Manager if she would make an exception and she refused. The Manager (who stated she is "married to one of the owners," said the $12 subs don't count as entrees and that they "have rules for a reason". We left and had dinner at a restaurant where they value their customers. IF YOU DON'T TAKE CARE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS, SOMEONE ELSE WILL. We will never again support this business. read more
