I will never order from Pizzaro again. The pizza was fine enough. Totally acceptable. Customer service...ehhh. I ordered from them once (nearly 90 minute wait) and ordered from them a second time. The second time I ordered before leaving work so it would be ready when I got home -- I ordered online. Long story short, nearly 2 hours later, I didn't have my food. They lost my order. On the phone the guy seemed to suggest this was my fault. He did not offer to make the order for me or get it out quickly. He didn't even offer a refund. They were closed so I was just out of luck somehow. I contacted Eat24's customer service and they managed to get a refund...but that was it. So I'm still sitting here starving more than 2 hours later. Just what I want at the end of my Friday. I'm a relatively positive and forgiving person, but this was just really rude. read more

I ordered a calzone after getting drenched at the Nats game, and I was just looking for something tasty, hot and quick. I decided to give Pizzaro a try. My food was relatively inexpensive, and came within about 45 min. I always order my sauce on the side, and I got the calzone with bacon, Italian sausage, and pepperoni. The calzone is huge, and was enough for three meals for me. The calzone looked like it was going to be awesome. However, there were just a few things off that let me down. The dough was good, but the mozzarella cheese inside wasn't totally melted. It wasn't like it got unmelty because it had cooled, but it just hadn't ever gotten hot enough while it was baking. Also, the meats weren't what I expected. I didn't see much sausage, or if it was there, it wasn't the normal crumbled, ground sausage. The bacon either wasn't there or was different as well. I definitely had lots of pepperoni (yum!) but I didn't know what the second meat was, it seemed like thick chunks of Canadian bacon or almost a hot dog type meat. Definitely not what I'm used to. Overall, this was quick service, and I really wanted to like it more. Maybe if I got different fillings or something, but I likely wouldn't order again because the order just wasn't what I was expecting. read more

Pizzarro is a MUST if you want quick, delicious Italian food. The pizza is always good. Always. The chicken parmesan is delicious. Calzones= awesome. Even good salads! The prices are great. I can't rave enough. I used to live close by and would walk over. They have the best customer service ever. They're always so nice. It's a small mom and pop shop, and even though I don't live next door anymore, I still order from there all the time. Basically, if you want delicious and cheap pizza, this is your spot! read more

We love this spot. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 is the same rationale that make us order it so much- it is a cheap, delicious pizzeria. You don't always want Pete's New Haven Gourmet pies, in fact more often then not you want an easy spot that you aren't gonna break the bank on that is gonna have some good pizza. This is that spot. So freaking cheap and they make an excellent pie. At the end of the day you should always bypass the mass delivery chains like Papa Johns who make an inferior pizza, charge you more and then crap on their employees so they don't have to pay them livable wages. Go local! Haters gonna hate, but this spot is exactly what you need on a Thursday night when you got nothing in the fridge, a beer in your hand and a desire for something a little greasy and very tasty. Do yourself a favor, put the haterade on ice for a later date and order yourself up a ten dollar large two topping pie. The price was reasonable: 16.99 + 1.99 for delivery. It was delivered on time, 45min later. But the pizza was just not good: it had no taste and the crust was chewy. Food was good and the service was good. When it comes to COVID restrictions and stuff ehh... nobody had a mask on. Delivery man came in, no mask, one staff member in the kitchen had a mask the other didn't, and the man in the front put it on sometimes but later took it off even when talking to a customer. As far as delivery options in the DC area that aren't too pricey, this is the best. No, it's not the best gourmet pizza I've ever had in my life, but the consistency is unbeatable. I've placed many large delivery orders and they are always friendly, on time (or early), and it always comes correctly. I'd pick them any day over any of the big pizza delivery chains. read more

Do not order from here. I'll placed an order for buffalo wings through postmates and they sent me plain wings with no sauce. I called and offered to come pick up buffalo wings and they told me no that they did not receive an order for buffalo wings but when I looked.back at my order it clearly said buffalo wings. The menu clearly describes fresh turkish doner made in store. I ordered it- and when I opened my delivery item, it was the same factory made greek gyro i could get at any hospital cafeteria. They misrepresented the product. When I called to ask, the guy said gyro and doner are the same thing....even though the menu clearly listed them as different(including the toppings!) Of course there was no manager available. Beware. Either they intentionally mislead or they employ people who dont know what they are selling. read more

I ordered a pepperoni and pineapple pizza from them and had the person taking the order repeat it back to me. They decided to leave the pepperoni out and sent a plain pineapple. I called the store to let them know that they missed an item on the order and that they need to fix it, I was told that they are busy and don't have time to do that. Zero customer service! I honestly love the food but the last few times it's been late and kind of cold by the time it gets to me. Not sure because they are far away or not but pizza taste way better when hot. I got into DC and checked into a hotel late on a weeknight and found these guys on Grubhub. The food came a little later than advertised and when it finally came, I missed a few calls from the driver. 3 minutes later, I called him back and apologized. The guy started to get on my case about not answering my phone, and I responded by telling him that he had my room number, and asking why he did not try calling my room from the lobby. At that point, he told me that the door was locked and no one was at the front desk. He said that he would be back to bring me my food and asked that I meet him at the door. When he returned, I came down to the lobby, and saw that there were 3 employees there and he was standing outside. As he handed me the bag he pointed behind me and said "don't get locked out" as he turned to walk away. I didn't get locked out, because the door wasn't locked. The food was ok, but I really didn't appreciate this guy's B.S. in hindsight, I wish that I hadn't added a tip to my order. read more

Lived in the area for years and never gave this place a try but then tried it at a neighbor's place and was amazed. It's real good pizza. Not too greasy but it's enough to be delicious. The crust tastes fresh and crunchy/chewy but not too chewy. We've now ordered both online and over the phone several times each and it always shows up very quick and hot. Just stopped by to take advantage of their lunch specials, which definitely beat other pizza places in the area, 6.99 for a small 1-topping pizza or 6.99 for a calzone and a can of soda. I can't remember all of them off the top of my head...Anyway! I got a small cheese pizza with jalepenos and I can say the crust is excellent. Fresh, crusty, not doughy. The tomato sauce has a lot of flavor and the service was fast. When they first opened up, I thought great pizza! I am a pizza snob and thought this was a place to make on a map of DC pizza, but after going there about 6-7 times over the last 6 months, the quality has declined. It's still pretty good. Bottom crust is modestly crisp, sauce is moderately sweet but always seems like not enough. The outer crust was fluffy and crisp on the outside but has started to turn into the doughy mass like Jumboslice. The two topping deal is good for what you get. I think their quality deteriorating is due to the hight turnover I feel they have. It's good for grabbing a bit to eat when passing by, like I do but wish they would retain someone who keeps the quality high and consistent and gets the orders done on time. read more
