Andy's = amazing. This location is such an odd, perfect place. They are located inside the Streets Market in NOMA, right by the Metro, a few steps from Wundergarten and Starbucks. But don't be fooled into thinking this is a counter inside a grocery store - it would be more accurate to say this is a massive Andy's with a small market attached. You order at the pizza counter, then head into a small warehouse sized oasis that has bar seating, quiet upstairs loft seating, and a large sunny patio. And, they are open late, till around 10:00 on weekdays and midnight on weekends, so whether you want dinner or a late night slice, they have you covered. It's good for a casual date, a friend dinner, or a solo meal. Great for families, too. Like all the Andy's locations, the slices are delicious and reasonably priced. The best in my book is the pepperoni special, which is a large pepperoni slice topped with fresh ricotta, basil, and hot honey. It is so good. They have a reasonably sized, ever-changing list of draft beers as well. It's nice to find something new. Water is left out for self-serve, and bathrooms are upstairs. read more

I love Andy's pizza and sadly, I frequent this location so much now, the pizza is always spot on, but the location is a bit chaotic, especially on the weekends. I feel there can be more order, as it pertains to ordering in line and picking up online orders. There's no clear signs on online ordering and on my last visit, it just got very chaotic. As I mentioned, I love the pizza here, but recently tried the wings and they just weren't my favorite. Didn't think they were very flavorful and I was actually a little disappointed because I love the pizza here so much. Just don't feel like I'll be straying away from the pizza again. My last critique is for a place this popular that makes so much money, I feel that their food packaging is awful. They usually give two slices in one flimsy paper like pizza box and it's just very difficult to carry. Surely, there's a better container system for something like that, or they can put one slice in each container. As I mentioned, I also ordered the wings recently and I also felt that container was super flimsy. Seeking a late slice, I tried to order here online and was told I couldn't, even when I tried 35 minutes prior to closing time. I know you have to close sometime, but that seemed a bit off to me. Nonetheless, I thought I'd walk by in person to see if I could snag a slice and was rewarded. They didn't quite have the full selection at the end of the day, but the mushroom and onion slice delivered the flavors I'd hoped for and a plain cheese was satisfying. The floppiness of their slices is excellent and the crust browns nicely. There is an option for a vegan full pizza that I've never tried and you can't just get a slice of that, but I think it might be worth trying someday. Pro-tip: You can order online via the Andy's website for pick-up or delivery. The staff here have always been quick to make it right if something is wrong with an order. My favorite is the spicy pepperoni one. My husband will devour an either plain cheese pizza on his own in one sitting. Perfect little spot for a quick, filling slice. This was right by our hotel, so the location was perfect. We got a cheese, pepperoni and Margherita slice. I went here as a part of the beer trail, which is such a great deal and opportunity to try the pizza in the bar itself. If you haven't tried it yet, you should definitely look into it. I did both a beer and a slice of pizza and both were good. I've had Andy's before so it wasn't a new experience, but I did appreciate being able to have a free slice of pizza. I would say that it's your standard slice of pizza I do like the nice thin crust. Our server is pretty on top of it, but there was a point in time for about 20 minutes when no one was behind the bar. This is pretty awkward as I think a game was about to start so at this point in time about like 30 people had rolled into the bar and it got increasingly busy and no one could order a drink. Overall, the vibe is pretty fine. The tables are kind of oddly ordered and arranged, but they've been like that since the restaurant before so I don't think that anything has particularly changed for this restaurant. So, I order from here frequently as they have the best Buffalo Wings, Caesar salad and margarita pizza in the city. They RARELY get the order 100% right. When you walk in it looks like a store but you walk past all of it and you see the bar area. This is where you show your coupon and order your beer and pizza. The workers by the bar did not give the best service. They seemed very nonchalant and kind of annoyed with how many people were coming in for this special. None the less, the pizza was amazing. The workers by the pizza shop were working hard and all had smiles and were polite. Pepperoni special is hands down the best slice of pizza there. All options were tasty but this was has a bit of everything. pepperoni, burrata, basil, hot honey... chefs kiss. There is additional seating outside with shade and an upstairs but that was closed. Just when I thought I'd never be able to a good slice in DC, I found Andy's. This is the closest to NYC pizza I've found. It's tasty, the crust is perfect, the sauce is yummy and the variety of toppings is great, I've yet to have an Andy's slice I didn't enjoy. They are kind to refund, but I don't want the money, I want my hour long wait for delivery to deliver an accurate order. We won't do delivery from here any more. Who would've thought pizza attached to a grocery store would be so good and have such a great ambiance?! The vibes were still there. Don't waste your money if you're looking for a fresh lemon taste. There really wasn't much lemon flavor. If you like kool-aid, go for it. You'll order your food at the bar and someone will bring your food to you. You'll likely be ordering pizza by the slice although whole pies are available. This is thin crust pizza.
