Chicken wings. There were 12. I forgot to snap pic before ;-)

This is one of our very favorite joints. The service is always great. I love their salads (large enough to feed a family I swear). but tonight went a different route. We split a bacon cheeseburger with fries and an order of hot wings. They were so nice they split the burger for us. Made sure we both had tomato, onion, lettuce and a pickle spear and plenty of fries! Wings were also delicious as usual.

Came here with my husband when we visited St. Louis and we had a pretty good experience. When we walked in, it was pretty busy, so we had high expectations! The place is cute and small inside and everyone working there is super friendly. There was a mix of older adults and young kids working there, and no matter who we came in contact with, they were friendly and helpful. When we were seated by the host, he looked younger than 16. He was nice and asked if we preferred a booth or table and sat us in a booth. Our waitress was an older woman who was also helpful and nice. She checked in on us often, too, and consistently gave us refills on water. The place seemed clean, but our table and menus were sticky, so we asked them to wipe down the table. For dinner, I ordered the taco salad ($15). It included olives, beef, lettuce, tomatoes (which I excluded) and cheese, and came in a shell tortilla bowl, too! It was pretty good but did taste a bit plain and dry. I wish it had a bit more uniqueness to it because it was pretty bland outside of the spicy beef and wasn't anything special. It came with salsa, which helped make it a bit wetter, but it still needed additions like possibly beans, avocado or guac, or cilantro to add more flavor. Again, it wasn't bad, but it could be improved. I probably would order something different if I ever returned. My husband ordered a grilled chicken salad ($14), and he felt that was a bit plain, too. The chicken was seasoned well, but it bland ingredients were in it, such as only tomatoes, eggs, onions, and bacon. He asked for Caesar salad dressing on the side, but it didn't look or taste like it, so he asked our waitress, and she claimed it was right. To us, it looked and tasted more like a vinaigrette. Overall, it was a fine dining experience, but compared to all the other great food we ate in St. Louis, this place was just okay. I probably wouldn't go back.

Friendly neighborhood pub. Food is consistently very good. They have lunch and dinner specials every day. Their Saturday night prime rib dinner is outstanding. Good service with adequate number of servers and bus staff.. Clean with sports memorabilia on the walls.

    Steak sandwich is yummy

Kirkwood institution. Great group of people working there. I sat at the bar with a few friends. The bartender is amazing. She tends to an overflowing bar with friendliness, attentiveness, and ease. The food is great and I ate the wings so fast, I didn't take a photo. I'll be back.

One of our favorite places to eat in Kirkwood. Old school family restaurant feel with wood and stained glass. Chicken quesadilla is awesome.

5 stars for Sawmill BBQ Pub & Grill…read more We were originally trying to go to another barbecue restaurant but they ran out of brisket (WHAT!). Then I typed in some great barbecue restaurants on Yelp, and there appeared Sawmill BBQ Pub & Grill. It looks like just a regular bar with a music stage, but don't judge a book by its cover - the food is amazing. The portions are massive and the prices are reasonable, as are the drink prices. This is definitely more of a locals joint, but definitely worth stopping in for anyone if you want some St. Louis style BBQ. The brisket platter was the best - big portions, 2 sides and 2 pieces of garlic bread. The Jalepano Mac and cheese balls are awesome, so much flavor. The salmon platter was also very tasty and fresh. The live music is fun (but loud), and our waitress was nice. Overall, if you what BBQ and are in the area, this is definitely worth checking out.

The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which immediately put me in a good mood. And the food? Way better than I expected. The smoked chicken wings were chef's kiss. easily some of the best I've had. And that homemade ranch was straight‑up scrump‑didly‑umptious. The mac and cheese bites? Solid choice. Crispy, cheesy, no notes. Overall, this little spontaneous stop turned into a win!

British Bar INSIDE a "British designed hotel", so I had my hopes probably heightened more that it should have with my previous British bar results. I went in thinking British craziness and got a "Edgar Allen Poe" feel... But I'm going to say this was NOT what I was expecting. First and foremost, your eyes are going to need adjusting. Plain and simple, it felt more like a dark ... room? (Part of the problem I think is that as it was already June, you can forget using the fireplace to lighten the room up) so it felt.. "Small", and I"m going to feel weird saying this... "Romantic Horrorfest". Wait, before you go "wha??", this isnt' necessarily a bad thing. The Taxidermy , the photos on the wall. the fireplace. the VERY (and I mean VERY) dim lighting... The limited seating on the main floor, the one door in and out it had a "wooden cabin feel".. Yes, if you had a wonderful romantic film and it was suddenly invaded by some monster villain... This where it would take place and it would be perfect. (See I can find positive things to say about things i wasn't looking for) As for the service, apparently (going back to the Romantic filmfest), I was struggling to get any attention for the bartendress, cause I guess I was solo'ing by myself, and because of how I wasn't able to get the bartendress attention... I kinda felt like an unwanted customer in a place more for couples or friends getting together which had me leaving shortly thereafter, so no real food score (although I will say, much like Oh London ,the menu wasn't really much to work through...), Anyway, no TV's, no world cup game on the air.. just like I said a vibe of a cabin in a "romantic movie, where the monsters lurk". And Apologies for some of the iffy pictures, it just didn't feel right using a flash on the camera in such a secluded locale) and like I said, it wasnt' what I was expecting (rowdy British fans watching the local club or something), but there's something about it that even i have to admit, would make this location a nice "date night" or "out with friends' location, more so than just a single person looking for a nightcap. (And Maybe there really is a monster hiding in the fireplace, to keep the "Horror" feel going?? :)

It is a family type place so it's noisy and all but one of their TVs were tuned in to soccer but I imagine if we had asked for something else they might have changed the TV in our area. For three with sodas & entrees and one appetizer the pre til base was $80 if that helps you consider pricing. Very casual with shorts and flip flops to biz casual.
