To be completely honest, we only drank here....we had already had dinner and bought movie tickets. We had about an hour between eating and needing to be at the theater so we decided to step in here for some drinks before the show. It's a cool little bar, feels like a local spot. Their prices were actually super fair considering they're super close to the city and easy to get to. We sat at the bar so service was great the whole time. A lot of the patrons seems to like to talk, so we had some good conversation. Definitely a little divey - if we lived in Richmond Heights, this would probably be a regular spot for us. I've come here several times and have never been disappointed. The servers are always super-friendly, which is a nice change for the STL area. The food is always hot and fresh. Super solid lunch spot! Inside is a bit worn out and dated, however if you're looking for a solid lunch joint..can't go wrong! The kabob's on Wednesday are excellent, can't go wrong with the Rueben & the BBQ chicken sandwich is one of my favorites. Never had the burger or bison, but peers at the office have...and it looks pretty darn delicious (I know they like it!) It's a comfortable place to chat and drink even with a super easy trivia game going on. Bar seats are comfortable. Bartender was nice but inexperienced in making a proper Old Fashioned. No method to smoke is poor for the place but she didn't know that the cherries were black not red and placed a slice of orange in the drink instead of a peel the rim. I ordered carry out Friday night. I requested no guacamole on my taco salad... and I PAYED extra for bacon on my steak sandwhich. What did I get? Loads of guacamole in my my salad. (not even on the side like the other ingredients) and the sourcream had chunks of raw chicken in it. No bacon on the sandwhich. I get mistakes happen....but it kind of put a bad taste on the evening. I didn't call that evening, because I was having a dinner date, and did not want to be "that" person. I picked out anything the sourcream touched and ate around the guacamole. Every aspect of the visit was great. Burger was cooked just perfectly medium! (Where else does that happen). The iced tea was fresh and brisk (good fuel). Katie was our server and is always a joy. My husband had a Mushroom/Swiss burger and (perfect) onion rings. We were both very pleased. We don't get here often enough. Everyone who works there is easygoing and accommodating. I've been here a few times within the past few months. The prices are average, there is an 18% gratuity on parties of 6 of more. They have some of the best Spinach artichoke dip I've had. It's thicker and not soupy. They pizza is good, the burgers are good and the ribs are good. The servers are nice as well as the busser/server assistant. It's a nice atmosphere but a casual place with plenty of TV's to watch your favorite game. It's not very big, but we've not had an issue getting a table. Sometimes the fries are good and sometimes they're just ok. The funnel cake fries were good but we did ask for more powdered sugar and they could definitely benefit from a fruit type dipping sauce. Love this place. I actually come here too often. It's kinda my go-to spot for lunch meetings, and its central location makes it great for hanging out with friends. Near my place of employment, so that's a plus. Great menu. For lunches I usually get a burger. Usually the Cajun burger. Fantastic appetizers... I'm partial to the onion rings. Great to bring group to for dinner or after-dinner shenanigans. LOVE the pizzas. The staff is always great too. Never had a server who I didn't like. read more

Great service from Michael today. Wonderful addition to the Duffy's team. So he gets Five Stars. But 3 Stars for the food today. The chili is excellent. But I like panko coated onion rings rather than the beer batter rings Duffy serves so a little disappointing. Also the wings were a little scrawny for the price. Would like to see that changed. The biggest selling point for Mike Duffy's is that they are located behind the Esquire movie theater. For big releases, I like to show up to the theater early to buy my tix (Fandango just tends to be more of a hassle than is worth most of the time imho). Then I walk across the parking lot to Mike Duffy's to grab a drink and a snack. Much cheaper than doing so at the theater and better quality food and drink. They have a good selection of draft beers, both domestic, local, and national craft brews. Always check their specials board for the daily drink special. The last time I went it was a Budweiser and a Jameson for $5. read more

Great place to stop in for lunch or dinner! I sat at the bar and tried the chicken tenders tossed in buffalo sauce and it was amazing! The bar tender, Danny, was attentive and friendly. I am blown away by the waitress I had while dining here. First time and I was not expecting the service to be so good! I don't remember her name but she was bubbly and waited on our table very well! I ordered a burger with sweet potato fries. When she brought it out I asked for honey to go with the fries. She said she knew she had some by the bar. She went to look and suddenly I saw 2 other people helping her to look for honey for me. She couldn't find it at first and came over to apologize. A few minutes later she came over with a huge smile and told me she found the little bit that was left. And it was her own bottle! Most people wouldn't try this hard for one ting but she did! Honestly, I have been pretty impressed with Mike Duffy's the 2 times I have been. Every now and then before seeing a movie at the AMC my fiance and I choose to dine here for convenience of location. The restaurant is a decent size and has plenty of seating on a Friday night. They have drink specials from what I remember and the servers are quick. I think the first time I ordered the chicken club (no bacon) and the second visit I had the BBQ chicken sandwich. The menu is pretty limited with food items I actually eat; but I make it work. I think my fiance had a burger one time and then he ordered a chicken salad the second time. I should have ordered the salad, because it was really good! Timing is everything when you come here. You can technically be in and out in under an hour because the kitchen is quick and the servers work fast. If you are ever in the area or if you have plans to see a movie next door this is a good place to grab something quick and filling to eat. I know we'll be back. read more

Doesn't look that promising from the outside.....when we pulled up I thought oh just another bar at the end of a strip plaza......Inside we were greeted and told them we would sit at the bar. That is when we met Sharon our bubbly little bartender with a big personality and a squeaky little voice. She is a gem.... I ordered a mud-slide and she did a fabulous job with it...it just kept getting better and better----it became a bottomless mudslide....ha The fish sandwich is very good there and well prepared. I opted for some chicken and rice soup and I would go here just for that...it was wonderful and warm and just hit the spot. There is a mix of ages there from young families to college aged to 30's, 40's, and 50's. They have a well stocked bar and a big variety of liquors so I believe they could whip up anything you may be having a yearning for. This place has the best burgers I have ever tasted, both hands down the best! Its so hard to describe the burger but its almost like eating a steak, it has that steak, smokey, right off the grill, still hot, charcoal fire taste. No seriously I am not kidding. I had my burger medium rare and it was so incredibly tender and juicy and the juices were dripping down like it had been in a commercial. The bun is a sesamee bun and even that was toasted to perfection. I am not exaggerating and sugar coating this review. If you really want a good burger, come here go no where else. Note: this is for trivia night. I was a regular here for trivia nights (had my own team and all). The host, known only as "Trivia Guy," comes in every Wednesday from 9pm - 11pm to challenge our brains and make us laugh (mostly at his expense). I like coming in and seeing familiar faces, as well as getting to chug off in case of ties. 4 rounds each with different questions. You get to change your team name each round with bonus points awarded for creativity. The food is greasy and average (note that after 9 they only operate the deep fryer). They never salt the items once they get to your table, so I like to sprinkle some salt on my fried pickles. Pizza uses provel, so I tend to stay away from that. Decor is dated, with lots of wood paneling. Good selection of craft beer though. There's always a beer on sale for trivia nights (usually a 312 for about $3) and pitchers are cheap. On the occasion I want to splurge, I'll get a sour ale for a bit more. Not the place for a first date, but a truly phenomenal place for trivia! read more

We wanted to come for Trivia Night, but it got cancelled because of a Cards game, lol shoulda guessed! Nonetheless, we stayed. Décor: a more homey sports bar in one large room w/bar on the left and tables all around; flat screens placed alongside the walls for everyone's viewing pleasure, lol. Service: Really slow. It took the waitress a long time to get our order, get our water and etc. But it got on our nerves when it took her about half an hour to get our check. She had to split it (while I understand that's annoying...) but she split it wrong/overcharged by charging one person double the correct amount. No, we were not pleased. Granted, all we did was get drinks and some apps, but even then we're still customers! We got the nacho platter, which was fine and the bacon cheesy waffle fries! Hah, decent grub food but nothing to rave about. Overall: I like how close this place is, but because they were so slow, I'm not itching to go back. Due to the terms and conditions, I probably shouldn't reveal what our team name was. Like any place, karaoke can get a little ugly when the microphone falls into the wrong hands. But never fear because you'll always get a good laugh at whoever is up there. We've all been there. I haven't check on the status lately, but I know that Duffy's was trying to start a weekly beer pong tournament. I would inquire within for details. Only reason I can't give a 5 star is the price, holy smokes... I was shocked to see my pint sized beers were literally 6 dollars each. I had forgotten what good food this place has for the type of restaurant it is (standard bar and grill), but we had some time before a movie last night and stopped in for dinner. The Cobb salad was fresh, crispy, and delicious, the ribs were tender and succulent, and the fries are just right. Service was good too, but there was one thing that really stood out here, and we were both put off by it. All of the servers, ours (who was very good), the one for the next bank of tables, and the bartender, had lovely long hair.... swinging all over the place, including across the plates and glasses. Isn't there some kind of a rule in food service that hair has to be tied back? Given a choice between dirt and hair, I guess I'd take the hair across my plate (as long as it doesn't stay there), but why have to choose? There were enough flying tresses in the place that it cost this review one star. Duffy's, if you're reading this, asking your staff to wear a simple braid or pony tail would do much for customer confidence. read more

Our food was reallly good and came fairly quickly, considering it was busy and was Saturday night. Our waitress was great, she kept refilling our drinks without having to be asked and you could tell she was really busy. And she was attentive and our food came out correctly. Only negative comment is that the manager/host guy whatever he was was super rude. When I walked in the hostess was away and I told this guy we would prefer a table where we could see the game, motioning to the basketball game. And when she came back he said "she wants sit where she can see the game so...anywhere in the restaurant" super sarcastically. I almost walked out but I was starving. This is our go to for lunch every week or so. The servers are the best, Katie is a delight lovely personable server a plus for this bar absolutely the best. Also Hailey so fun and great server and Cindy bar tender I think great personality. We are never disappointed in food or service. Such a friendly place.
