The interior is very spacious with an inviting and relaxing atmosphere. I ordered from their lunch special which includes an appetizer and your main course meal. I had hummus and the Adana Kebab. Turkish Breakfast! Had a lunch outing planned with our group and when we noticed Beren also serves breakfast until 11, we switched up the itinerary a bit to give breakfast a try I have fond memories of simit when I visited turkey, so the Classic Ottoman jumped out at me - a Turkish Simit bagel with sausage, cheese, and mixed greens. I loved it as it brought back good memories of savory and simple breakfasts in Turkey. Coupled with a strong Turkish coffee, I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast here. After inquiring about the popular items on their lunch and dinner menu, the chef was also nice enough to bring out an Adana Kebab for us, which was cooked to perfection. Needless to say, we had a great time at Beren and I plan to come back to try more of their menu, especially some of those delicious kebabs featured on their dinner menu. read more

Heard so much about this place, I just had to come and check it out! The ambiance is simple, clean, and welcoming. We were greeted by Charlie, the owner, who warmly explained that his menu is built on traditional family recipes from Turkey. We started with the Babaghanoush--delicious, smoky, and served with fresh, homemade bread. Next came the Feta Roll--crispy eggrolls stuffed with creamy feta cheese--absolutely perfect in flavor and texture. The Beet & Orange Salad was a refreshing mix of spinach, cucumbers, and a bright, flavorful dressing. For mains, we tried the Adana Kebab, served with rice and a small salad. The kebab was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and bursting with flavor. We also ordered the Beyti Kebab, which features the same Adana Kebab wrapped in delicate pita bread, sliced, and served over a bed of rich garlic yogurt, alongside rice and a fresh, well-seasoned house salad. Dessert was pure bliss. The Pistachio Baklava--so fresh and flaky--came in four generous pieces and was unbelievably good. Honestly, they should package it for shipping! We also tried the Cyprus Gold, which took things to another level with its combination of walnuts, cream, coconut, and a hint of orange--absolutely divine. While they don't serve alcohol, it's BYOB, and there's no service fee. Charlie, thank you for your warm hospitality and for sharing your traditions with such love. My friends and I came here as a fun dinner to celebrate the end of the semester! The ambiance is so intimate and very cool. I could see this place being an amazing date night spot. We all got various items, but I specifically got the chicken kebab! It was tender, moist, and extremely flavorful! It came with a side of roasted veggies which were nice but the meat was definitely the star. My friends got a mix between the lamb kebabs, beef kebab and lamb chops. The general consensus was that everything was flavorful and the meat was delicious. The owner was actually are server and we watched him personally interact with all of his customers and recommend items. He was incredibly nice and helpful and we loved joking around with him. When it came to desserts, we ended up each getting one of them. We learned it isn't a set menu but rather a rotating menu. The baklavas were delicious (there was a pistachio one as well as a walnut one). There was another pudding esque dessert which was also very refreshing, and a coconut one that was very balanced in flavor. We also got the dubai chocolate cheesecake which was amazing!!! It was all homemade and you could see how much care was put into each dish and dessert. Since we got almost every dish off the dessert cart, he ended up giving us the last one on the house to try too! The group consensus was that the meats were amazingly well seasoned and moist/tender, while our favorite dessert was split between the dubai chocolate cheesecake and the baklavas. While though it was the middle of the afternoon, a typically slow service and staff time od day this was not the case. The owner greeted us, seated us, and gave a brief of the menu. Great New location on 6th. Transfer from closed startup on 8th. Free street parking, and they have lots of parking that's not marked for BEREN . So many reserved for others around, don't get towed. **Great Mediterranean, Turkish is a bit different than all the others around with selections and flavors that fit well. Upscale inside space, and a patio as well. All food comes with olives and bread for the table. Try the mezze selection platter for a large selection of the appetizers. You can always select favorites on a future visit. The cup servings are more than other Greeks that spread items far on saucers. Was plenty to take home on provided packages to keep separated. None is less than very good, most excellent. Baba, items with yogurt and the one with crunchy nuts is remarkable, along with the purple beet one. *Specials they have seasonal menu and daily specials. *Sunday was lamb shank day. Several hours of cooking brought forth the nicest tender lamb shank with fully rendered tissues that contributed to a natural thickened brown gravy and a smooth eggplant cream traced around the plate. Perfect for dipping their thicker than pita raised bread that they brought my again fresh throughout the meal. *specials and items of note have salmon, whole fish, lamb chops. Also a multilevel bread with tomato and other toppings, not quite a pizza. *mains are some of the usual skewers with meat choice, vegetable also, and a variety of salads that don't match the usual Greek selections with their varied ingredients. *They have several specialty cocktails, and a regular bar selection also. *Give Beren a try. It's worth finding it on 6th off Magnolia, back behind spiral diner and Nona Tata *Sunday lunch this may 5 week(recent opened) had open tables that were fast filling about 3pm. So soon may be good to have reservations. Noise level fairly quiet. A couple semicircle tables for 5-8 along one edge, and enough tree cover out the window to see some breeze and no traffic. Beren's was every bit as good as all of the reviews say it is. My wife had their falafel and she almost always has those at every Mediterranean restaurant we go to. She was very pleased with them, saying the seasoning and the texture were absolutely perfect. I had the kibbeh and the feta roll off of the appetizer menu and both were quite good. We think they have the best Mediterranean food in Fort Worth. And, yes, the owner was there serving everyone and was charming and very helpful and friendly. I first learned about Beren Mediterranean Empire Kitchen in 'Fort Worth The City's Magazine' December 2025 issue in the "14 Delicious Spots That Debuted in 2025" story. My family wanted to try their Turkish breakfast since the story gave it such a glowing review. The restaurant is located inside the Funky Town Food Hall, which we had never visited before and was a little confusing. Once inside, we were warmly greeted and from that point on, our experience was amazing. I can't say enough about the Classic Ottoman, the Turkish Menemen, and the sausage. It was so delicious that no one wanted to speak; they just wanted to eat. The story's glowing reviews did not disappoint. I wish we had tried all of the dishes. Found a new favorite! Food is absolutely wonderful here. Tons of healthy choices that all taste like they're 100% homemade. I've been twice in the last week so that should say something. Excited to try the other options they have on the menu. There's so much more variety here than a lot of the other Mediterranean options I've seen in town.
