Planet Auto Wash is the best car wash I've been to in a while, and the best in the Manassas area. If you are around Old Town or on 28 it is worth your time to stop in and check it out. They have a lot of great services and great employees that make the business as good as it gets. I havn't gotten the names of the employees but, The sweet lady outside is very helpful and informative about the car wash packages and extra packages, very friendly and warming. The employees that do the interior do an amazing job and they really pay attention to the little things and take the time to do a good job. I've seen many of their employees doing a wonderful job and caught my attention, such as one man was determined to get the dirt out of my cupholder, and I was surprised that he got it as clean as he did. One woman also took the time to vacuum all the crumbs out of my childs carseat and underneath it and even picked up all the eating utensils, toys, books, papers, and other random things my child throws around and placed them neatly in the seat net where they usually go, she even cleaned mud off one of my childs toys that was on the floor, i've also seen her working inside at the desk and she's very sweet and helpful. I've talked to a few other employees, and from what I've seen there are many good employees that put a smile on my face, and keep my car looking new. They've hired wonderful people. Also, The men that run the place (I'm guessing) Are very nice and are always doing the best to make the customers happy and make sure they are satisfied with their car when it's done. I will continue to come to this car wash for years and years and I HIGHLY suggest everyone else do the same! It really is an amazing place, and it even looks wonderful and very modern. It's sad that over the last year or so this car wash has gone down hill. About every other time I go there, they have a hand written sign for an additional charge for something like a big truck or SUV .. or add Tire Shine to the exterior only service for 5 dollars more. Well I went in my brand new 2020 Camry yesterday. I paid the 5 for tire shine to the exterior only service. Once through the car wash tunnel (which usually does a good job) you go into the bay for the interior or other services the tunnel doesn't complete. Well they decided to do the interior of my car and lefts towel lint everywhere, streaky windows, leather seats all streaked, and musty towel smell. On top of that I didn't get my tire shine I had asked for because they decided to give me the wrong service. When asked why I didn't get my tire shine they said I'd have to pay extra because they did the interior. Sorry folks, you made the mistake not me. I paid for what I wanted you chose to ignore my receipt and streak the inside of my 2 week old car. I will be going out of my way to another car wash because for almost $30 my car is worse now than it was when I intended to get it "cleaned"! Don't waste your time.. go elsewhere. This is absolutely the best car wash I have been to. I went there recently to get a car wash and to get the full interior of the car cleaned. Car was messy because of all the salt and sand on the roads. Long story short the finished product is amazing. You wait just about 5 to 6 minutes in a very nice waiting area and they thoroughly, and I mean thoroughly, clean your car inside and out. Wonderful finished product for an excellent price. Never been to a drive-in car wash, so this was my first experience. Wasn't told to place my car in neutral, so I ended u having to back out because I was "driving" in. Car looked nice as I drove it out; however, I pulled into their parking lot to get a better look at my car. It was just filthy everywhere. For $26, I expected better. I went back inside and called someone to come look at my car and clean the spots they missed. There were swirls of dirt on my hood, bird crap on my lights and windows, and the back windows looked as if they were cleaned with dirty rags. Maybe if the area the cars drive in after being "washed" had better lighting, they'd be able to see better and clean better. Even the woman, who was very nice and cleaned what she could, said that the workers only focus on drying the car, not making sure it's clean. I also find it hard to believe that's actual armor oil used on tires because they look a dry mess after about 10 minutes. Charged way too much for shoddy service. read more

Had my car washed here today and what a surprise!! Great place to frequent. Customer service was A++++. Your car is on a conveyer belt not a typical wheel lock and then the detail area is also on a conveyer belt system. At least five people worked on my car and it came out spotless! All for $25 and for $69 they do a full detail. Highly recommended. read more

Went here this morning with a Groupon for a full detailing service. I was required to make an appointment so I had to call continuously for two weeks until I gave up and drove to the location to just talk with someone. I ended up waiting 15 minutes in the "Lobby" for someone to come out to the desk to talk with me. I understand sometimes it's busy (when I went it was not) but not trying to seem welcoming to any new customers via walk-in or phone is not a good business model. When I arrived at 9am for my appointment (the scheduled opening time), I saw the car in front of which pulled in was an employee who apparently was opening the store. She walked inside, let in a few other employees who were waiting on the other entrance, and locked the door behind her. I waited for maybe 10 minutes while the employees walked past the door, made eye contact, and then kept walking towards their work stations. Finally a young man from the detailing area came inside to open the door and let me inside and directed me towards the cashier area. I understand the employees need to set up everything, but if your opening time is listed online, on your groupons, and you make appointments for "9am" then you should be ready to take customers at 9, not at 9:30. Or change your business hours to open later if the employees cannot arrive earlier. After I was let inside I was directed where to put my car, rang up my groupon, and directed towards the car wash. An older man was working in the area cleaning my car with a hose. While he was walking over, and before and after he was hosing down the wheels/body he was staring at me, licking his lips and making suggestive facial expressions. While he was looking through the windows he was holding out his hands and making kisses towards me, and finally when he finished he began touching his chest (I was wearing a tank top) and began mimicking me touching my cleavage, opening my shirt and showing him my chest. I frankly did not know what to say and was already uncomfortable enough at this point. I did not react positively and he attempted to "laugh it off" and again suggestively motioned me forward to start washing my car. I saw him one more time while the inside of my car was being cleaned and I looked away immediately. The same young man from before was the one who took over later cleaning the inside and was very pleasant and professional. I was falling asleep in the waiting room and he came to wake me up and tell me the car was ready, thanked me and wished me a nice day. That's all you have to do to win a customer over; good service, nice manners, thank them on their way out. I know some customers can be difficult, but in general it's not hard. The technical cleaning job inside and out I would give 4/5 stars, but even if they gave me a brand new car it would still not make up for the appalling overall service (with the exception the one young man). It seems apparent that the employees (I have no idea if there was a manager on site, or if they are even aware of the employees conduct) don't seem to be concerned with seeming at the bare minimum friendly to customers, interested in attracting new customers, or seeming professional. I will not be returning and I wouldn't recommend anyone else to spend their time or money here. read more

This place is a complete rip off. I paid $25 for their next to premier car wash. All it is you go through the car wash and a machine dryer. No one cleans the windows, hand dry the runs off the car, no vacuum nothing. My tires and wheels looked like they were never even touched by water. You can get the same quality car wash at any gas station for $12 plus discount on your gas. read more

Without a doubt the worst car wash I have ever received there. It must be under new ownership in or no management team on site today. I paid $35 for a car wash and I overpaid by at least $34. I was thrilled to see this car wash open! I have a big dually pickup and this shop seemed perfect. My first wash was an A+....... but I've been incredibly frustrated ever since. Today was my third visit in the last five weeks when they refused to wash my truck saying that they were closed -- each time I arrived before the 5pm posted closing time. Today I drove up at 4:45 and they wouldn't allow me to get into line saying that they were closed. If you want to close at 4:30, then post your closing time as 4:30! What good is it for me to call and ask for your hours if you won't honor them. Incredibly frustrating. Why did I drive 35 minutes? Terrible. read more

No stars. Terrible detail. I complained that my windshield still had insect smears. I purchased the most expensive detail and requested to speak to the manager. Was told he was to busy. I insisted. He came over and told me bug smears and wiping them off the windshield was not included. The world has clearly gone crazy! Needless to say, I'll stick with Embassy! Too many scratches on the roof of my car. I used to like them more but I won't be going back.

What a rip off. It was 13 for the "good " wash and it wasn't any better than one at a gas station. The only difference was that they "wiped" down my car to " dry" my car. They left spots on my car and didn't completely get it dry. Additionally they only pre rinsed one side of my car! Lastly it took almost an hour to get my car washed. Very bad customer service. Do not buy groupon or living social deals. I bought a groupon worth 249 for 79 and it had expiry within three weeks. So I called them and set up a date since I was going to be out of the country. When I came back and took my car to they said the groupon has expired and can honor only the face value. Eh, not as good as the reviews state. Just came back from a long trip and wanted to get the truck cleaned out and polished up. The outside was great, but for the triple shine on the tires, they were looking pretty sad, and then on the inside the vacuum missed quite a lot (peanuts, sand, fuzz, hair) ,the mats were just thrown back in, and the cup holders are just as bad as they were before (except now with an oily streak around them and smear marks). I mean they weren't busy, so I cant say they were rushed. Im not going back. I realise its not a lot of money, and others have had better experiences, I will just finish the cleaning at home and chalk this one up to a loss. read more

Just visited this car wash and will never return again! My car was returned to me and it was horrible. There was bug splatter everywhere and the guy said "They tried to get it off but they couldn't." They fail to remember customers watch the cars go through! The crew didn't spend anymore time cleaning my car than any other. Upon my complaint you would assume he would at least try again to clean the spots? Which he did not. I called back after leaving and the lady (Maria) said "What do you want us to do?" When I get home I then realize my drivers side rear tire was missing the tire dressing all the others had? Maybe they "tried" but couldn't get the dressing on that tire either.... read more

I've been here a few times over the past 6 months, and I'm mostly happy with the service. I try to go when it isn't too busy, so that doesn't cloud my judgment. I work from home, so I have that luxury. I like the different options for wash packages, although I've only tried a couple of them so far. I did upgrade to a detail one day, and it was pretty good; I mean, considering the price paid. I didn't pay for a $100 detail. I like being able to get a decent cleaning inside and out for a reasonable price, so this works for me. The facilities appear well maintained. There can be a little disorganization when it is busy, as the car lines come from various directions. This is why I try to go when it isn't as busy, as I said earlier. In the end, it isn't a mindblowing car wash, but it gives me exactly what I want for the price paid. read more

Paid for the Planet wash which is the 2nd Best for $25 and paid for the LavaWax $20 I was very Disappointed, the car came out shiny but under the wax the paint was extremely dirty with many white patches everywhere and and the inside was also dirty, I told the guys and they saw how dirty it was so they offer to clean the inside again but did nothing about how dirty my car looked from the outside, wasted so much money for a sloppy job. read more

I visited on a busy Sunday afternoon. The attendent was not knowledgeable about the various car wash options. When I asked her about the price differences she acted as if I was inquiring about Newtonian physics. Next, another employee removed my antennae and scratched the mount with his wrench. My Ford F150 is brand new so obviously I was upset. I asked to speak with the manager who never did appear as he was "in his office on another call". While I was waiting Edward the employee who removed my antennae approached me and my two small children in a threatening manner. For a moment I thought he was going to attack me as he aggressively approached me shouting "how you gonna tell on me...!" I had to raise my voice and demand he leave me alone and get the manager. After waiting 30 mins, and having to endure Edwards continued threatening body language, Abraham, a young non manager came out to apologize. He never offered anything concrete or confidence inspiring in regards to handling the situation. He clearly had no authority to handle this situation. I will never go back and have even considered a lawsuit to fix the scratch on my truck and for undue stress as I felt threatened by Edwards actions. I am an active duty Marine just returning from 13 months in Afghanistan. My family and I did not deserve this stress and unprofessional behavior. Would never recommend. VEHICLE DAMAGED and unprofessional staff. Today I took my vehicle in to have my car washed. It is a brand new SUV and I drove into the wash with no problems. I was sitting in the vehicle on the strip as it washed, and as my vehicle rolled through the dryers, the Sunroof Cover (Rain Guard) snapped. I asked for the manager and Enrique came out and begun by walking me into the shop, onto the moving strip to show me how "cheaply" the manufacturer makes the part and explaining to me how and why it broke. I told him I just wanted to know how he planned on resolving the issue and he belittled me for 15 minutes in front of customers and employees, laughing at me and insulting me on numerous occasions. The vehicle has not been fixed, and he embarrassed me more than anyone in my entire life ever has in public, and I work with customers/ businesses every single day. I would NEVER recommend this business to anyone. read more
